  1. Hi Jeff, I'm very sorry you were not satisfied with the products or results on your S4. From the picture you've attached, I see our old green Severe Swirl Remover, our orange Swirl & Haze Remover, our white Fine Machine Polish, and the gray Machine Super Sealant. All of these products have either been discontinued or reformulated for at least 3 years and sometimes longer, so I would question the shelf life of all of these 4 products, especially first they have not been in a temperature controlled environment or if they were not throughly shook up before polishing. Are the pads you used just as old and are they in good condition and cleaned of all polish residue before use? If the products were temperature controlled and the pads are ok, then the polishes themselves would not have caused these swirl marks. Nearly all swirl marks come from improper washing and drying. A polish will not introduce them but the severe swirl remover or Swirl & Haze Could cause fine micro scratching that the Fine Machine Polish would take care of. Has the car ever been washed at a dealership during a maintenance checkup, or at any other automatic brush washes? Either of those would be the most likely situation for the swirl marks. If you did machine polish, did you do a test 2'x2' section and then inspect with several different light sources for a perfect finish prior to polishing the rest of the car? Are the swirl marks all over the car or only in that rear area? Are you sure the microfiber towels you are removing the polish with are soft enough and not contaminated? As a test, take the microfiber towels you were using and wipe them on the blank data side of a blank CDR you do not mind ruining. If the towels scratch the CD, odds are they will scratch/swirl your clearcoat. Proper microfiber care is imperative in not reintroducing swirl marks into the finish of your vehicle. We have a writeup dedicated to proper cleaning of microfiber that I will link in my next post. We want to make this up to you for being dissatisfied with the products, so I would like to replace those old outdated products for you free of charge. Please give our Customer Service number a call after 830am MST this week. 866.965.0400. Respectfully, Dan
  2. Welcome to the forum! Starting with some of the kits would be the best way to get a nice selection of products at discounted prices. For major swirls, they would need to be corrected with a machine polisher, and we also have several machine polisher kits.
  3. Menacingly beautiful Z06 you have there! Adam's is the official car care product of the Corvette and Camaro afterall, so we appreciate you trying out our products!
  4. I agree. I used it a lot on the last two vehicles I worked on, and it certainly does save time not having to bend over to pick up the bottle of Paint Correcting Polish and Detail Spray so much, or to walk over to my cart or workbench to get them.
  5. Welcome Joe! There are lots of great people on our forum, and it's always nice to have another Corvette owner on here We're very happy to hear that you are loving our products! What year is your vette and do you have any pictures of it? Just curious, what Corvette forum did you find Adam's Polishes on?
  6. The belt your detailing habit deserves... One too many times, I've dropped a 16oz bottle while detailing in the garage or out in the driveway, by hanging the bottle on my pant pocket by the spray trigger and bumping it into something or moving too quickly. The bottle falls, and if you're lucky, you pick it right back up and continue on with the job; but if you're like me, the whole scenario plays out in slow motion - shock and surprise as the bottle slips and crashes down to the concrete or pavement and you try to reach and grab for it but you're too late, followed by a nasty cracking sound of plastic, and a pleasant aroma as your detail spray pours all over the ground. Or you set your mobile phone down somewhere on the work bench, windshield, or car seat because you don't like fighting to pull it out of you pocket while detailing to take a picture or answer an important call or text...and this just wastes time as you keep walking back and forth to grab the phone. Or you would really just like to have those two bottles of Paint Correcting Polish and Paint Finishing Polish right at your side instead of always walking around the car to pick them up off of the ground, usually kicking them over in the process as you detail. It is time to be the superhero detailer your vehicles deserve, with Adam's New Detailers Helper HD Belt! The belt is a high quality, heavy duty, configurable detailing belt, custom made for us from our friends at Detailer's Helper. You may have seen this belt being worn or featured on some popular TV shows like Chasing Classic Cars, Fast 'N Loud, and My Classic Car, and it is also used by the 2014 and 2015 Air Force One Detailing Team! A few of our other forum members have posted reviews of the belt, and they are very happy with it, but I wanted to offer another more in-depth look to show you what all comes with this belt and steps on assembly and how it can be configured to your particular detailing needs. When I received the belt, it arrived nicely folded up in my order, with the pouches, belt strap, clip and so on stored neatly inside of the larger pouches. Here is a picture of nearly everything neatly laid out on my floor. I didn't realize until after snapping this picture that there was a second bag underneath the exclusive Adam's logo bag. And here's a shot of the full belt assembled. I will go into more detail on assembling it in a bit, but as you can see in this picture, the Adam's Detailer's Helper HD Belt comes with 5 storage bags of various sizes, the belt itself, the plastic clip, and a soft cover for the belt clip with the Adam's logo printed on it. The Detailer’s Helper Tool Belt features a paint-friendly design, with no exposed plastic, metal, or hard nylon labels so you know the finish on your vehicle will be safe while you are working. The belt is a tactical style buckle belt that can be adjusted to fit up to a 44" waist using the velcro sections on the belt and plastic belt buckle. Each supply bag is made of a soft cotton fabric to keep your paint scratch free, and they can be used to hold 16oz bottles, microfiber towels, and other tools you may need while detailing your vehicle. The belt also comes with a Cord Wrangler Loop to keep your polisher cord behind your bag, that can also double as a towel loop. Now onto assembly. The first thing I did was attach the female end of the belt clip onto the belt. It can be a little difficult to thread the belt into the clip due to the velcro at the end of the belt, so I started it in at an angle like this: Once the belt is through the loop, I folded the belt backward and connected the two velcro surfaces: Next, I decided I wanted the smaller bag near the front of my waist. It's the perfect size for holding a cell phone or two of our 4oz bottles. The bags slide over the belt much easier: With the small bag in place, I then put Detailer's Helper logo bag next to it sit at the left hip. It's the perfect size for holding an Adam's 32oz Premium Dilution Bottle or a can of In & Out Spray. Next, I added the larger size bag and the Adam's logo bag to be at my right hip. The Adam's logo bag will hold two of our 16oz bottles no problem, and the larger size bag can hold one or two folded microfiber towels or a 6" polishing pad: Then to finish up assembly, I added the male end of the belt clip, snugged down the velcro, and then slid the protective belt clip cover over the female end of the belt clip: There is one bag that I did not put on the belt for my use, and that is reinforced deep polisher bag. It can hold a machine polisher or other similar sized objects. And here are a few pictures of wearing the belt with a few products to show how it can help you be more effective in your detailing. Sorry I don't have a better model than myself to show it off. Detailer's Helper states that this belt can help you cut up to 30 minutes on a full detail! Another nice thing about the Detailer's Helper HD Belt is that if you're sitting down on the garage floor for instance, the bags will typically bend and move enough with you so that bottles don't fall out as you sit down and stand up. You can see I added the Cord Wrangler Loop in between both bags on the right to slip the polisher cord through and keep it away from the paint! Thanks for looking, and please let us know if you have any questions!
  7. Love that car and reading about it on here!
  8. Unfortunately due to a low RSVP count and impending inclement weather and low temperatures, we've decided to cancel this detail clinic. We do apologize for anyone that may have already made plans to attend. Instead of having the toy donation and clinic, Adam will take 10% of all revenue from this Saturday (12/5) for the team to buy toys for children this Christmas and we will donate them all to Toys for Tots! We will have another detail clinic once the weather warms up in a few months. Stay tuned for further updates, and again, we apologize for the inconvenience.
  9. Hey Garner, thank you for joining the forum! I spied on your profile and see you have a Mustang, post up some pictures if you get a chance! Thanks
  10. I can live with it if a zipper option is too much work. I usually have really short hair and don't have to worry about my precious hair like one other moderator I know...*cough* BRZN *cough*...
  11. Full zipper front with a smaller chest logo and the big logo on back would be a very cool option indeed.
  12. I agree with Rich. I will fill my 5 gallon buckets up with fairly warm water during the winter months, but super cold glass + hot water can be a very bad combination of shattering glass. I also wear a pair of the green disposable detailing gloves when washing in cold weather because they help keep my fingers a little warmer while still giving my a good grip on wash pads that thick rubber gloves may not allow as easily.
  13. I've been wanting an Adam's hoodie for 2 years, sign me up with that logo, the usual oval logo, or the Circle "A"!
  14. When closing a driver door, I always try to push it shut by the key hole if it has one. For the other doors, I will push them shut with the rubber or chrome trim at the window line...much easier to wipe a finger print off of those spots and less chance of scratches from fingernails.
  15. is a great idea! I finished that for you Let's see pictures of everyone's winter prep, unless you had a specific question about the product Matt?
  16. You can give Ray a call at Grabiak Chevrolet as well. I just spoke with him and he has some in stock, but he said it's best to call him for availability. Their number is 866.713.0162. Thanks.
  17. We ran out of stock on the Blue Clay a few weeks back, so the remaining gray bars that we had were sent out in a few orders until we got more of the blue clay back in stock, so that there weren't any delays on people's orders. If anyone on here received a gray clay bar in a recent order that would like a replacement blue one sent out, please let me know.
  18. Boom! Edited the title for you. The others are correct in that we do not allow selling of Adam's chemicals on the forum but we do allow trading of them for other chemicals that you might want/need. Thank you for understanding. I can edit the first post as well if you are not able to, just let me know
  19. Can we get a little more clarification on your question Abraham? Do you intend to buff off the haze after the Buttery Wax has been applied using a Porter Cable, or are you asking if you can polish away the wax layer using something like an orange pad and Paint Correcting Polish? You could remove the wax haze residue using the Porter Cable on a slow speed with a single soft towel draped over a gray foam pad, but this is usually more headache than it is worth trying to hold the towel in place while also trying to maneuver the machine around. Buttery Wax wipes off with nearly zero hand pressure with a Single Soft or Double Soft Towel if you work a panel at a time and wipe it off a minute or two after applying, so it's not really worth it to try to use the machine to wipe off the residue. You can also remove a layer of Buttery Wax with an orange foam or orange microfiber pad with Paint Correcting Polish, if you are polishing the surface to remove swirl marks, but that job will also go much more quickly if you do a strip-wash or clay bar treatment first to remove the wax and then machine polish the surface. Hopefully that made sense and I didn't cause more confusion. Let us know if you have any other questions!
  20. Thanks for the call Lee! Glad we were able to take care of things for you!
  21. I will talk to Adam about it this week and report back.
  22. I'm on the phones now if you need any help
  23. I would also recommend to against using Deep Wheel Cleaner on the bare polished wheels. Since you already ordered it, you can use it on other wheels if you have any spare sets or another vehicle. There's a lot of great information in this CCW thread from a few days ago that is worth reading through when you have a few minutes: http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/29579-brand-new-ccw-wheels/
  24. Drool...such a nice ride! Welcome to the forum, we have quite a few Audi owners on here now Have you done any modifications to the RS4 yet? Looks like it's lowered and really shiny at least Thanks for joining us here, and don't be a stranger!
