camaro2ssblack got a reaction from scootertrash19 in Was My Car Even Clayed?!
May I ask what the detail included and who did it? Did you sign something showing the steps of the detail?
$400 should have included a full cleaning, decontamination, paint correction and protection for most sized vehicles.
The baggie test is pretty reliable so I am doubting that they clayed thoroughly if at all.
Edit:
If you drove the car home it's entirely possible you are feeling surface dust that has settled since they completed the detail. Clean an area with waterless wash gently, then redo your baggie test.

camaro2ssblack got a reaction from Ricky Bobby in Liquid Paint Sealant stand alone
I typically stay away from carnubas during the heavy pollen months for that very reason. Hard to beat a good sealant, with or without a glaze. I agree.

Oh no, say it aint so!!
You know, I should probably just call the truck a complete loss and have it towed away. The damage I have inflicted by stepping outside the box could never be undone.
Woe is me...
Actually many poeple use SVRT on the interior Chris, mostly on door panels or anything that could be exposed to rain water. I appreciate your input though.

I appreciate it brother. I must admit it wasnt extremely dirty but I was very pleased on how well it turned out.
On the SVRT "milk", this was my first time using it on the interior. I added 7 ounces of water to the last 3 ounces of my SVRT bottle so I guess technically its 1:2.33 dilution. It sprays easily and spreads like a dream. I sprayed it directly onto the red UFO applicator with two light spritz, "kissed the finish" over my workable area, and then spread it evenly. The excess product knocks down perfectly with a utility towel. I was left with a flawless finish with no streaks, dark spots, or greasy feeling.
I hope you have the same experience as me, but if I am being honest, it was the best interior dressing I have ever used.

camaro2ssblack got a reaction from Redbeard in Little frustrating using Detail Spray as a drying aide, would Rinseless Spray be better
Try it and see. Streaking is part of the drying process, especially visible on dark colors. Are you saying these streaks are not going away after your final buff? I've never been able to dry a car streak free, with or without a drying aide. A final wipedown is always necessary in my experience.

If it's not clear coated you can use the metal polish twins.

Removed weathertech matts and cleaned with APC and a brush. Rinsed with water and dryed with a master blaster.
Vacuumed interior.
Glass cleaner on all glass and gauges.
Interior surfaces cleaned with APC diluted 1:3.
Door jambs cleaned with Waterless Wash.
Interior surfaces protected with SVRT "milk" diluted 1:2.5 (sprayable) applied with a UFO applicator and knocked down with a MF towel (quick and yields amazing results on this Silverado interior "plastic").

Great looking truck. Knowing the true history of a used vehicle is a wonderful thing.

It's not all hype. The good ones definitely provide more protection than a traditional sealant. If you enjoy keeping your car clean and do it at least monthly, you really don't need a coating IMO.

Interesting Chase, I saw pics of it being shipped. That's so cool you picked it up, and yes, it was VERY well cared for.
