  1. With it being cooler today, I set out to wash two of our cars tonight. I am just finishing rinsing mine when my wife gets home, so I dry it and we have dinner. After dinner, she pulls her car in the garage (yes, I prefer washing in the garage) and I wash hers. I dry hers and go back and do all of the glass and a detail spray wipe down on both cars.

After cleaning the buckets and putting the hose away, I start to head inside when I remember I didn't dress the tires yet. I grab the tire shine and a foam block and head back out. A quick couple of shots on the tire and I notice the tire shine is running down the tires like I've never seen! I even had to grab a towel to wipe the wheel down.

So, I'll let you guys know in a couple of weeks how ceramic boost holds up on tires.

And I claim to be good about checking labels because I'm color blind, but I don't have trouble with yellow.

  2. Draining and cleaning the hot tub, so while that was in process, gave the Vette a bath (washed the other three yesterday) while preparing to watch the Stanley Cup finals.

    Let's go Pens!

  3. I recently picked up an new Equinox that will live outside, so I decided to try the coating. I went through all the steps you did and then hit the coating. It is REALLY easy to work with. The trim coating is unbelievable!

Today, my neighbor was out washing his truck as I was washing the Equinox, we finished at the same time and he came over to ask about the coating, he thought it looked that great. We talked for about the coating for about 10 minutes. I should mention that it was raining by this point, but neither of us cared, our cars needed washed!

Try the coatings, you won't be disappointed.

  4. This might be a silly question, but did you seal your side mirrors as well? For some reason I have an incredibly hard time with water almost sticking to my side mirrors whenever I drive in the rain, and it almost renders them useless as I can barely see anything out of them. Water doesn't seem to want to slide off of them at all whatsoever, also ending in almost constantly having water spots on my side mirror.

Yes I seal the mirrors, The windshield need it more often, but I keep all my glass sealed.

  5. I can't disagree with anything above. If you can't paint the whole house before moving in, at least paint the closets. Does the house have carpeting? You want to clean that too. It can be a great time to buy something like the Bissell Lift-off. The machine works well and you can easily convert it for small areas like, oh, maybe a car interior. And don't forget the Adam's CUC!
