  1. Link below is what I have and have used. It does advertise that it won't leave brush marks. However when I first used it, it was almost 100 degrees outside and it was a one shot deal. Going over spots more than once left brush marks. I'm certain it was due to the outside temperature. It is best applied when cooler. I did get it right, but it took removing the stuff and starting over. It was work. I will be doing the headlights on my DD and my kids truck this spring with the same kit. It works well. I bought the kit at a local automotive paint supply store. https://www.kbs-coatings.com/Headlight-Restore-Kit.html
  2. Got up this morning and noticed the roads were fairly dry after the dumping we got yesterday. Ten inches or more in my driveway. I hadn't washed a car in a month or more due to weather. Got dressed and took all three vehicles over to the coin op. Parked the two in the garage and gave them a Rinseless Wash. Left my DD outside with intentions of getting it washed and the paint transfer mark from some careless person removed. Come in to get keys to move a vehicle out to move mine in, and it is snowing again. Oh well, at least it got squirted off. And I got two of the three clean.
  3. I'm sure driving it around the block and that will be gone.
  4. Keep your tools. You can never have too many.
  5. This is one of those things that I would compare to installing carpet in your house. People that do it everyday make it look super easy. You can buy the kit and do it yourself and take the chance of not getting it right the first time and have to buy it twice. At that point it may have been cheaper to just have someone do it.
  6. Use an old toothbrush to agitate it. I have never run across wax residue that I couldn't get off.
  7. I bought it off of Amazon. It looks however that I got an updated version. Mine is blue and the hose is connected with a quick connect fitting. I thought it worked well. Looks exactly like the one in the OTC link. Finding the best position on where to hold everything makes a difference on how well it works too. Still working on that. https://www.amazon.com/OTC-8104-Vacuum-Brake-Bleeder/dp/B008S8W3QA/ref=sr_1_20?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1483894369&sr=1-20&keywords=brake+bleeder https://www.otctools.com/products/vacuum-brake-bleeder-0 Not sure how much CFM it uses. I couldn't find any info on it either. I have an 80 gallon tank that puts out 16 CFM at 175 psi, and I was using the air. I didn't have to sit and wait for it to charge up. I could see if you had a smaller tank it could be an issue. Motive products looks like they have some great bleeders. I however wanted something that was a bit more universal without having to buy a bunch of adapters for different vehicles.
  8. Afternoon project was to change the oil, rotate the tires and change the brake fluid in my wife's car. Dropped the skid plate and noticed that there was coolant. In March of 2015 I had done the timing, belt and water pump. So I tore everything apart down to the timing belt and water pump and tightened the bolts a tad more. They were already torqued to what the repair manual called for. Hoping, and thinking that it will fix the issue. Not really much of a leak, but I can't stand anything leaking period. I have done 5 other timing belts and water pumps and have never had a leak. Bought a brake bleeder off of Amazon that runs off my air compressor and that thing made the job super easy. Glad that I spent the extra $800 to get the air compressor that "I really wanted".
  9. I will be doing all 3 of my vehicles tomorrow and it has been cold here. This morning it was -3. I have a coin op about a mile from the house and will spray it off. I spend a lot of time spraying the underside. I have some rubber gloves that are similar to those used for washing dishes, but are thicker. Picked them up at Lowes for around $10. I then drive home and into my heated garage and let it sit for a bit to thaw out and hit it with the Rinseless Wash. Frustrating part is when it is cold like this with all the salt, as soon as it gets around 32 degrees the line at the coin op is a mile long. Below freezing there is almost no line.
  10. A gallon of Detail Spray. And a second bucket and grit guard. Or at the very least another grit guard.
  11. Thanks for giving me an idea on how to spend my money. https://www.quickjack.com/car-lift-systems/bl-7000slx-portable-car-lift.html Just realized though that it doesn't have the capacity to lift my truck. Know of anything similar with heavier lifting capacity?
  12. Most know Fred Haise as one of the three astronauts on Apollo 13. He was also the first astronaut to land the space shuttle. He was Commander of 3 of 5 of the approach and landing test of the shuttle Enterprise. Snapped the picture below while at Spacefest last year. Waiting to get into the luncheon and Alan Bean (4th man to walk on the moon) and Fred Haise ran into each other right in front of my brother and I. Anybody that is interested in donating to the Infinity Science Center, link below. Proceeds will go to helping preserve the first stage of Apollo 19. http://www.visitinfinity.com/saving-apollo-19/
  13. That is because they didn't do it right. Find a body shop that knows what they are doing and you won't have any problems.
  14. Had this surprise waiting for me in the mail when I got home tonight.

  16. Aside from having time off and able to get some sleep, seeing my wife and kid was the best. The month of December, a lot of days I leave before they get up and get home after they are in bed. Material wise, my favorite was a code reader. I knew I was getting it, as the wife had me order it.
  17. You will have to have the whole hood repainted and cleared. My guess would be under $1000. Paint labor is relatively cheap. It is body work that is expensive. Had my roof repainted under manufacturer warranty and I want to say it was $1700. But there were things that had to be removed and masked along with blending. A hood is straight forward.
  18. Merry Christmas to everybody. Hope that everybody has a happy and prosperous new year too.
  19. I did a Rinseless on two of my vehicles over the weekend. Super easy to do in the garage.
  20. I wish there were times that I were bored at work. Especially this time of year.
  21. I think that is a good idea. I was at the mall yesterday doing my Christmas shopping for my wife, and the lady at Nordstroms threw all kinds of perfume samples in my bag. Looks like they do have a sample kit, but it would be nice to pick and choose items that would be of most benefit to those that you're giving them to. For example maybe they need some help on the interior, and need leather cleaner and conditioner. Maybe Adams could set up the website and let the customer pick 2 oz bottles. It may be too much work on their end too, to make them. http://adamspolishes.com/shop/gifts/under25bucks/adam-s-2oz-sample-kit.html
  22. I wouldn't use the leather cleaner full strength weekly. Use the Total Interior Detailer. As far as coated surfaces, I would still use the conditioner. It is just going to take longer to soak in.
  23. My guess would be that you thought you removed them completely, and didn't. Different lighting and different angles on where the lighting is applied shows all kinds of defects. You will see everything in direct sunlight.
