This is all really good discussion and I truly appreciate it. You all make very good points and there is all to consider that I had not previously considered or known about. That being said, the issue I think some people are having about the new pressure washer it that for the price it is being sold by Adam's along with the similarity to other brands that are sold for near 50% of the cost it seems (without knowing specifics) like we're being sold a cheap ("rebranded") pressure washer at twice the price of the other brand.

Maybe it is the unknown differences and the extreme similarities that are making people skeptical about the company's products and intention. Of course a company is always going to try to profit, that is what it is ultimately about. However, when some products appear to be high prices rebrands of cheap knock offs, why wouldn't you expect this sort of push-back?

When it comes to swag, I remember when Adams didn't really sell any and customers (including me) were asking for some swag. Never could I imagine Adams trying to dive into the coffee business, or socks (I believe I saw something like that at one point), or balloons. That just seems silly and seems to water down the company image in my opinion. It's like seeing Clint Eastwood (a very cool actor and person) ditch his strong tough guy image, that seems to still work for him, in order to pander to today's flat bill hat, gauged earring wearing crowd by wearing such things in hopes of appealing to today's younger generation. In all actuality, his normal persona still works and it his true brand. That's what I mean when I say Adams has gone from contender to pretender.

From a customer's perspective what I feel got Adams to be so popular and desirable at first was the Made In USA policy, the chemicals, towels, and basic tools of detailing. Now suddenly Adams is selling random items that seem gimmicky or overpriced rebrands and the answer when someone calls them out is "vote with your dollars." To me that's like being told my opinion doesn't matter. I am but one person and I'm I won't make a dent in the profit, but maybe there are others who haven't spoken up that feel the same way and together voting with our dollars may hurt a little.

The best thing to come out of this conversation is TheWolf's last post about sending this to HQ. Hopefully this grows legs and we can get an honest heartfelt response like we use to from Adam himself. That is another thing we used to see, but doesn't seem to happen anymore. I love to see a company grow and I'm all for people making as much money as possible, but when a company grows so big that it loses its humbleness, I begin to wonder if the customers even truly matter. At least when Adam was a visible and engaged figure of the company I felt like our voices were truly heard.

Last night I sent this thread to HQ for review, and then had a reply email and also a phone conversation about it and other developments this morning.
 
Your feedback is appreciated, and the issues presented in this thread are being heard and discussed by the decision makers in this company.
 
I expect that we will see some changes that will address many of these concerns, along with concerns and other issues from previous feedback threads.

Needing some supplies from Adams I was excited to see they had a trailer at Barrett Jackson this past weekend. Not only was the staff friendly & knowledgeble but the deals were great as well. I just wish you were in New England more ofter as I love all your stuff. Keep up the great work 

Fixed the problem in a round about way.  Purchased a Rain Soft whole home water conditioner for the house (not a water softener as most think).  Water had 11 grains of hardness and a lot of sediment.  Test after install showed Zero with sediment removed.  Had an independent water test done and it is actually 2 grains (still really really good) with no sediment.  
 
Bottom line...soap works really well and foams up ten times better.  Car rinses clean with zero spots...in direct sun light.  
 
...and no I didn't spend the money just to wash cars, I have family members with some skin issues and this helped clear it up.  

Not a mobile detailing cart but I use the Milwaukee packout tool storage system to move all of my stuff when going mobile. Works amazing!

That's a fairly broad question.  What all are you doing? Basic interior, in depth interior? Polishing, if so how many steps? 

In that case, I'd stick with regular WW (or RW diluted 16:1) and Detail Spray. You can always get the Ceramic Waterless at a later time (it's great!), whenever the mood strikes you!

Best bet it to buy a gallon of Rinseless Wash and mix up your own Waterless Wash at the ratio Chris mentioned.  Rinseless wash makes a good clay lube too.

Really depends on how much it builds up and what the dust consists of. If it's pollen or industrial waterless or rinseless will work with caution.  Like @falcaineer said, waterless is my go to followed by detail spray or the new ceramic waterless (which is amazing by the way).

This one was a pain. I don’t have any aggressive clay and I’m assuming this car had never been detailed before. After washing and iron decon. Thepai t felt like sand paper, literally. I had to clay, clay and clay some more.

Those are some of the most satisfying jobs.  I've polished everything from Veyrons to rare original cars to new cars and the results on someone's high mileage daily drivers are the best turn around for the amount of work put in.

Did you happen to feel the surface in that area? Sometimes contaminates can stick to the surface even being coated, especially in an area that gets spray from the road. I still have to use Iron Remover and clay every so often in areas like that. If the rest of the car is still beading pretty good I would check that first.

We recently learned of posts on social media raising concerns about potential credit card issues in connection with transactions on the Adam’s Polishes web site. We place huge value on our relationship with our customers, and we are writing this post in an effort to respond to those concerns.
 
First let me clarify, Adam’s never stores or holds credit card information. When our customer types in a credit card number during the online purchasing process, the information is first encrypted in the browser before it is sent directly to our credit card company. Adam’s employees do not have access to credit card information at any point of the process.
 
We take security and privacy very seriously and we have been working proactively and diligently to address any potential issue. When we learned of these concerns, we engaged expert security professionals to review the concerns raised by our customers, our security and our website. All of the scans have come up clean, and thus far we have not been able to identify any issues with our website or service providers.
 
Adam’s is not trying to minimize or avoid the fact that people have and are experiencing credit card fraud. We are just trying to understand it and react to what is a very complex issue. At the end of the day if customers have an issue, we have an issue – we fully understand that.
 
As part of our ongoing effort to improve service and security and in addition to our ongoing software upgrades, we are changing our server hosting provider this week as part of commitment to improving the customer experience and security.

I started a little too early this morning as my fingers were literally getting numb when finishing the Escalade but it warmed up enough by the time I started the Volvo...  I've got to leave soon so time was of the essence.  
 
But I'm with you, a warm up soon will be appreciated.  Though shortly after it comes, comes all that wonderful green pollen! 🌳

Polarized sunglasses are the solution to dash reflections.  The above certainly will help with better driver visibility.

We've been having snow, then ice, today 8", and now it's freezing rain.  Can't even get a decent day to wash anything.  I was car shopping over the weekend and was considering a black XTS.  Till I saw another black car pull in the lot looking like crap.  Black is just too much work. I'm going to keep looking. 

Let's face it. Adam's has the perfect job security. ❄️🌧️ etc.
