I use Universal Stone cleaner and Stainless Steel ecloths for the sink and all of our stainless appliances. The only combo of cleaner and cloth that has ever gotten my appliances perfect.

shoot man, its probably more work than its worth. I tried to keep ours clean but with the kids and wife putting dishes in it, cleaning stuff after cooking the scratches come right back...I gave up!!!

Hi Wayne, the best cleaner for a stainless steel sink is Bar Keepers Fiends, it's a cleaner for SS and has many other uses. Depending on the grade of SS that they used for the sink will also make a difference. What I did for my kitchen sink at home, I bought a sink rack that lays on the bottom of the sink to help protect it from scratching, hope this helps!

I bought the Porter Cable because everything I heard was that its very easy to use and great for beginners.
There were some complaints about excess vibrations. Thats probably true but I have nothing to compare it against.
My paint was in good shape to start but I did have some water spots that were not going to come out by hand. They are gone now.
I think the car looks amazing. Very deep shine with a really nice mirror finish.
I am glad I bought it.

Wgeffon reacted to Flip in What are you doing to try and stay healthy?
I joined a crossfit gym this summer. Workout M-W-F. We have great trainers which makes all of the difference. I've always exercised a decent amount but have got to the point where it is worth it for me to pay someone else to tell me what to do. I just show up and all of the workout decisions are made for me. Plus, correct form, warmups, and stretching are emphasized. They push me in a way that I am no longer capable of pushing myself.
I also make sure to get outside as much as I can with my kids and play with them. I run with them. Tackle them. Wrestle with them. Go down slides with them. Ride bikes with them. This can be hard at times, but I make sure to play with my kids regularly. So many benefits of doing this.
Eating well is tough Sunshine has great advice above. I do feel much better when I try to avoid eating out as much as possible.
Get away from the screens. We turn the TV and mobile devices off a few nights a week and figure out other things to do. I spend more time in my garage now that I invested in all of these auto care products. Its a great hobby. Its better than sitting on the couch playing on my iPad and I get a lot of satisfaction from having clean shiny vehicles.

Gotcha. I assume that'll be OK (not a pro, though - new to Adam's). Just remember to apply the H2O relatively often to keep the protection through the winter. And the Americana if you just want to show off .

Had one question for you, Wayne. Did you decide purposefully not to use the LPS? Just concerned that since it's a daily, or at least that's what I think you said in another thread, the HGG and Americana (despite the extra pop) won't last nearly as long and thus not offer the lasting protection you may be looking for.
But either way, the car looks great!

Wgeffon reacted to PostalTwo in First polisher.
I would do a "test spot" 2x2 and see how many passes it takes to get the paint perfect or to the desired level . Then do the whole car section by section . So say it takes 2 passes of pcp. I would then work around the car section by section making 2 passes each time . Then do the whole car with pfp. Alot of times it will take many hours to get perfect . So as an alternative you could say tackle the hood and front of the car 1 day ,then the next time do a door and fender . Imo it's better to work slow and achieve perfection than to touch the whole car and not get there.

Wgeffon reacted to PHOKUS in First polisher.
I think your approach has some merit, but different areas of the vehicle almost always require different levels of correction.
Before I even pull out my equipment and products, I assess the condition of the paint. I don't own a paint gauge (yet), so I visually inspect the entire car. Then I look for signs of repainted panels and ask the owner if the vehicle has ever been repaired. Then I give a quote if this is a customer's vehicle.
I mark the worst areas with painter's tape, and take note of areas which need little or no correction. There's no sense in making four passes if it only needs one or two. Then I tape off a test section in an area needing heavy correction and start compound polishing with foam. This gives me an opportunity to see how the paint reacts to compounding and if I need to get a more aggressive pad.
I agree that working slower is more in line with the 'touch it right, touch it once' mentality. I also think a bit more preparation and thoughtfulness before you begin can save time in the long run.
Cheers!
