ramflava reacted to Team Adam's in Order of operations
In terms of the whole process or just drying?
Drying I do glass first, then paint, then wheels and finish up by wiping door jambs and areas like that.
In terms of the detail process, assuming the car needs everything:
Clean wheels/tires
Wash
Clay (while car is wet)
Re-wash
Dry
Dress all exterior trim
Paint Correcting Polish + Orange Pad
Paint Finishing Polish + White Pad
Finish with sealant / glaze / or wax

Comb it out. A pet hair brush will get out loose/detached fibers.

ramflava reacted to StubStang in A few new things used for todays cleaning...
Writing my thoughts on a few different products:
Long handle wheel brush: worked very well, created suds/ bubbles when used with green wheel cleaner, got rid of the dirt inside lug-nut areas also.
Paint Sealant: Easy to apply, easy to remove after hazing properly. As a result, the paint looked event better than with what I normally used.
New blue clay bar: After using the first generation clay bar compared to the blue one, I am convinced that the blue clay bar is more efficient than the older material. The older material had stuck to my hand and was way more time consuming (three times more time used than the blue clay bar) although the results were practically the same.
Rinse and wash label buckets: easy to remember which was used for soap and rinsing. good idea!
Adams is still my number one car product in my book, the results are the proof as to why!!

ramflava reacted to LFairbanks in Brilliant Glaze PUMP head?
I knew that the new pump style dispensers that you were referring to weren't like the sprayers. Just wasn't sure if they had found or decided that the BG would affect the pump style like it did the sprayers. Dylan answered the question however. Have a Great Day.

ramflava got a reaction from ForceofWill in Using a PC to apply American paste wax
This and the ease of application really doesn't require a machine. There is (to me at least) a certain satisfaction to applying a premium wax by hand. The smell, the application, the haze, the removal and the ever so slight running of a finger over a slick and smooth surface is way better than a machine job!!!

I would not recommend that, as the panel is not clean until you wipe it. I would say clean it, then apply G&G with a damp towel, and wipe with a dry towel.

But nothing that is not easily removed with the next rain shower or wash.

ramflava reacted to Ricky Bobby in Paint sealant works.
^Yes because basically your paint has pores and the sealants "seal" them so that is a solid slicker surface from what i understand, so the beads dont absorb in to the paint like the "non protected" cars do.
Dew beads are a great thing!

ramflava got a reaction from Thorsager in Paint sealant works.
So I'm at the White Sands Missile Range in NM for the Bataan Memorial Death March and I wake up this morning and friend points out my hood. We had just discussed my passion for detailing and everyone at camp had noticed how clean my truck is. Well upon waking up my friend notice the dew that had accumulated overnight was still visible on my hood, while every other vehicle was completely dry.
It's great to see and product in action. Keep up the good worK Adamspolishes.com!!!

x2 I love Larry's technique for an extra sudsy way to always introduce lubrication, very efficient too!

I like that way too. I've only done once. It's hard for me to break habit, but I've seen Larry Kosilla do it this way in one of his videos. It makes sense. I'm just clumsy enough to hit the car with the hose or foam gun though, so I have to be careful.
Good review too!
