Vacation Scratch... ugh!

teamcrossworks

Question

I apologize for the long post, just thought I'd share...

My family and I just got back from vacation during which we able to drive on numerous beaches. On one of these drives (I wasn't on board) my wife somehow came too close to the access trail vegetation and scratched the passenger side of her car (finger nail noticeable). When I saw it I wanted to kill the thoughtless being that wasn't careful ENOUGH... but I'm fortunate to have a great woman and so the words "its ok honey" leaked out of my mouth instead.

I really didn't think I would be able to get this back to perfection. My OCD meter was off scale.

I was all set to wet sand with 2500 but I've been programmed "least aggressive first" so I started with my trusty PC, 4" micro fiber cutting pad and Adam's Corrective Polish. It took some time but it came out perfect.

Another small scratch on the mirror I initially didn't see that I used the Rupes TA50 / 2" foam pads with the same awesome results.

Thanks Adams!

Thank you all for the kind words.

Would you believe the day after posting this (still basking in my accomplishment) my wife called me crying that a run-a-way shopping cart gifted her car with a golfball size dent in the driver's rear quarter.

I mean... "it's ok honey"

I'm thinking a paintless dent repair will do the trick (no crease)... it's certainly frustrating sometimes trying to keep your car looking good. lol

Best of luck to us all!
