Those that "hate" unions probably have never been part of one, and just hear "stories" from others.  You know the one where it starts out as a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and by the time it gets to the other side it is a ham sandwich.  I'am proud to say that I have been a Teamster for 24 years and the Union has been nothing but good to me.  The Union has provided me with a decent living wage, paid vacation, unheard of health care for myself and my family.  And the company still makes billions in profit.  It is all about fairness to the employee.  There is a voice in numbers.  Without the Union I know for a fact I wouldn't have what I listed above.  In fact China is going thru a lot of what we Americans went through in the early days of Unionization.  They are wanting to make a decent wage and safe places to work and are now starting to stand up for it.

And if you look at Adams post it is about "Safety", not more $$$$.

just got my gallon of glass cleaner. the new design is nice. however i did not like the foil seal. i much prefer the caplugs. they arent easy to get out sometimes but much easier than foil. i abhor foil seals. but very minor complaint. just giving feedback. i had to buy another milk crate today for my adams products. youre doing something right.

craftsman still makes some tools here. my sockets were made in usa. love them. i bought magnetic holders for them so they fit in my gladiator tool chest. some of that gladiator stuff is made here too. when it comes to tools and my garage i do what i can for made in usa. its difficult and power tools well, youre not gonna find those made here. i keep looking. channel lock makes their pliers and wrenches here but their blue and red grip line is made in china. bosch is made in germany so there is that option for power tools. www.madeinusaforever.com try that out for starters. you just have to be diligent about finding out where the tools are made. i have found most of the products made here try to make a big deal out of "made in usa" so chances are if its not advertised on the packaging, its not. good luck

I delivered a box earlier in the week and I set it down next to the lady that signs for me.  She says "made in china?  That isn't mine"  Took me a minute to realize she was reading the side of the box.  She then proceeds to tell me that she really looks hard for products that are US made.  She mentioned that it is difficult at times, but she does her part.

Your exactly right Adam.  The problem is everybody wants everything cheap and but also complain if their 401K isn't performing well.  And wonder why it is so hard to find a good paying job.  Anymore it is all about the dollar and profit.  The employee doesn't mean anything anymore.  The founder of the company that I work for once said "the most important asset is the one that comes thru those doors everyday".  Not anymore, it is all about the share holder.  I'am lucky though to where it is impossible for my job to be moved over seas.

the problem is us. not those of us commenting here personally but us as a country. we are obsessed with falling prices.  i see the ads here in IL all the time from that big box nightmare. dont shop at the union grocery store, come here where we employ people who need public assistance to feed their families so you can have a can of soda for 14 cents cheaper than the place that pays its employees. there is a push to buy american and it appears to be gaining mainstream traction. but until we can convince others to pay a little more for a better product craftsman et al will continue to search for ways to make their product cheaper. on a side note, some american manufacturers cut some corners and made a crummy product and for some reason it has tainted alot of domestically produced items. everyone complains about cheap chinese crap but you dont see them buying the alternative. remember that 14 cents adds up. lol. i do my part, i buy american as much as i can even when it costs more and i also encourage others to do so.  rant over. ha....thanks to adams, my detailing product shopping got a whole lot easier.

We are transitioning to breathable foil heat seals to reduce the amount of damage/leakage in transit.

Because we bottle at 1 mile plus above sea level the product will see some pretty dramatic pressure changes. These changes result in stressed bottles that can crack or leak pretty easily.

The seal we are using now is breathable, meaning it lets air in/out but not liquid. This decreases the chances you'll get a soggy box or damaged bottle. The red cap plugs, while effective do not breathe. A bottle of product shipped for CO to sea level can easily deform so much from the pressure change that it bursts at the seams.

All things done in the name of reducing your chances of being bummed out by an order that arrives less than perfect.

clean the wheels. i used green wheel cleaner on my chrome wheels. they have videos that are under 10mins to view. i think they recommended using APC on actual chrome but i used the gwc anyway. then i sealed them with quick sealant. then all summer all i had to do to get he shine back was using a combination of adams shampoo and water. i keep it in a sprayer. a few oz of shampoo combined with tap water. i think i used 2-3 oz of shampoo for 36oz of H2O. you dont have to be exact. use the boars hair brush and the combo and youll be good. they sell metal polishes too if you need it. i havent tried them yet as my car is new and didnt require polishing. good luck

i cannot stress enough how awesome QS is on my wheels. i have a denali with chrome aluminum wheels. i used gwc and then sealed them and now all i need is a shampoo/h2o mix (1:1) to get them to shine before my maintenance wash. its amazing. highly recommend the QS for the wheels!

I didn't cover-up anything when I did mine, and I had no trouble at all.  That said, I did NOT spray water directly into/onto the alternator, battery, fuse block, or air filter.  Once dry, I applied SVRT and In & Out Spray.  Following that initial detail, I do little more than wipe down with Detail Spray whenever I wash the rest of the car, touching-up with SVRT and In & Out as required.

(new verb) no before pictures, it wasnt a train wreck or anything and this is my first go at detailing my own car. this was all done by hand. and yes it did take a long time.
every product that touched my car was from adams with the exception of the isopropyl alcohol and water.

++1.  On two separate occasions (the latest being yesterday), I have been too quick on the "complete" trigger and made two orders right after each other.  In both cases (because the shipping adds on each order), Matt was awesome and worked it through for me.

i have had to contact customer service a few times for various reasons. i have always had my call returned in a timely fashion. this is a rarity in today's world. how many times have i left messages with voicemails that said "we will get right back to you" and never do? this doesnt happen with this company. made in america and doing the right thing: thats everything a customer needs!
in a short month and a half i have become a huge adams fan. keep up the good work.

Yep.  My co-worker is a newbie to Adams and recently placed her first order.   She ordered a kit and the sprayer for her detail spray was broken.  I told her I have plenty extras and would bring her one in a pinch.  However I suggested she call and I said with confidence they will send you a new sprayer without a hassle.  Sure enough she called and couple days later she had her sprayer.   Not many companies you can boast about like that.

Just wanted to give a quick shout out the the Adams crew. Im a new guy to Adams product, ordered my first stuff a few months back by just getting the sampler kit. The order arrived quick but the bottle of glass cleaner was half full. I called that day just to give them a heads up since it didnt look like anything was broke and it may have been alittle error, they offered to send a new bottle but I was fine with what I had and really looking forward to trying it out...... Needless to say I was hooked and since then I have spent a lot more getting full bottles and completing my detailing collection (not to my wifes excitement...haha).  Every order I get has been shipped quickly, arrived quickly with all the correct product. I just wanted to say THANKS to all the Adams crew for the great product and great attention to customer service, not a lot of companies these days are into their customer service and I know I will be a big supporter of Adams products from now on just for that fact......On a side note, my wife now sees how clean our cts-v is and doesnt bug me as much about keeping it that way, she still laughs at me for spending money on car car product but at least she can see the final result

Signing a waiver is a sure fire way for somebody to turn down whatever is being offered - would you still grab a sample of something at Costco if you had to sign a waiver first?  There are much better ways to implicitly cover yourself against unforeseen circumstances......it's called insurance.  And to power wash an engine bay or take a buffer to somebody's paint without it is asking for trouble.  Any "waiver" without an insurance policy to back it up is completely toothless...it amounts to a cocktail napkin agreement.  I'm actually surprised this topic didn't get more attention considering how many folks here detail vehicles not belonging to them.  If you're detailing somebody's car at their residence or yours or wherever...insurance is a must.

Insurance also lends a great deal of credibility to a detailing business and inspires confidence from the customer (unlike a waiver).  Call any of the Adam's distributors who also detail cars and ask if they're insured - the answer will be universally "yes".  Call a "detailer" you found on Craigslist and ask if they're insured - there isn't a stopwatch in this world that can measure how fast you'll get hanged up on.
