The question you asked in your quote have been answered already so I'll say this. If I were you I would buy the Rupes. I have a Rupes 15mm MKll and I love it. But the Swirl Killer will get you great results and will correct any Paint with the right pad and polish combination. Get your paint looking good then put whatever wax on it you like. I heard a quote saying this, "Use what you like and use it often."

Americana and Patriot are two of the best waxes on the market. I left the company you had mentioned due to the fact that the product (wax or sealant) was done in less then a month. The majority of shine comes from cleaning (wash, clay, polish, etc) Wax/sealant/coating is like the icing. However, 3 months down the road your vehicle will still clean up easy and have a great shine with Adams. Also try Adams Detail Spray when you clay! You will see a big difference compared to the brand you used.

Here is a comparison of Patriot and Americana. The Yellow Jacket has Patriot and the Hellcat has Americana. Another important point is that they both go on and off super easy.

They are 480 edgeless. I want to try it with some 320 also but I haven't bought any yet. I thought about the multiple pads since I have 4 but I figure with the towel I can get more panels since you can flip and fold them.

I did a maintenance wash for a repeat customer and I wanted to try this Hybrid GDWM where you use the foam cannon/gun, one bucket with regular shampoo, and about 6-8 MF towels.

The car wasn't terribly dirty but they just came back from a cruise and the car sat for 7 days. It took a few passes to get used to the different feel of the towel in my hand rather than a wash pad, but once I got the hang of it I was enjoying it. I was more confident than ever that I was not introducing dirt into the wash bucket. I will probably use this method more often. It even felt faster (probably wasn't lol).

So for those of you that don't want to stop using the foam cannon and the 2BWM but are wanting to get onto the rinseless game I highly recommend trying the Hybrid GDWM. Who knows, I might end up converting to rinseless all the way!

I think this is the best place for my little story. If not, please move it to the appropriate spot.

I corrected 2 sets of headlights a couple Fridays ago for a gentleman and his father. The son immediately booked a detail for his wife's Kia Soul. This past weekend was the best time for me to work on it. I advertise up front that I need to keep the customer's vehicle over the weekend. I do this because I can't always dedicate 100% of my time on the detail.

Anyway, I usually do the strip wash the Friday before so Saturday morning I can jump right into the detail. Well, a cold front came in and stole 2 hours from my morning so I was already behind. I decided to work on the interior while the sun warmed up some. I finally start the decontamination with iron remover followed by clay. Here's where the bone-head move comes in. I'm claying the roof when I lean a little too hard on one of the rain guards and I hear a "crack". CRAP! I broke something on the customer's car for the first time since I started detailing. I know it wasn't like I burnt through paint or broke a mirror off, but I still started to panic.

100 things are running through my brain. I had no clue what to do. I was pricing replacements, trying to think of what to say to them, etc...  Then a sudden calm came upon me and said "just tell them what happened". So I text him that I broke it. It felt like an eternity passed while I was waiting for a reply. He says "Honestly, I wouldn't mind just taking those off anyway." I just about cut a backflip, LOL!

I ended up having to skip the paint correction and just put some wax on it since I spent the next hour or so removing the other guards and the old 3M tape residue. The customer was very understanding and I told them I can work on it another time. They were still very happy with the results and everything turned out great. It just goes to show you that panicking accomplishes nothing and the truth shall set you free, LOL!

There are 2 major down-sides to those random orbit  "buffers"; 1) It has one speed 2) you don't have the selection of pads like you would with a D/A polisher.

Like Brian said, this would take wax/polish off but I wouldn't even use it for that. I own 2 Harbor Freight D/As and they work great for my level of detailing. If I were to get serious about it (money-wise) I would most definitely upgrade to the Swirl Killer or a Rupes.

I usually start with 500 or 600 then 1000, 1500, 2000 followed by compound and finishing polish. I don't spray with clear coat but I do apply PS followed by Americana Wax. My next set I am going to try dry sanding with 320 first to see if it makes any difference.

I just wanted to share my wash pad care process. I've had this pad for over a year and I noticed it started looking rough. I always wash my pads with my regular laundry after each use and about every 2 months or so I brush them out with a dog hair brush. This particular pad hasn't been brushed out in about 6 months, lol!

I use the hex foam applicator, let sit about 10 minutes then wipe with an old rag. I get no sling until it rains.

I have always been curious about this as well. I normally always use foam pads and I only prime with 3 dots like The Junkman. But when I use MF pads I butter them up. I am not comfortable using MF pads yet either.

Don't wash them with your MF towels. I just throw them in with my regular wash and comb them out with a dog brush every other wash.
