And it doesn't matter what color. The SK will correct it, the polisher is only as good as the hands pulling the trigger. Again, I have a Rupes 15mm MK2 and I had to do a 2 step correction on my mothers black Avalanche. Using the Orange foam pad and correction polish left a slight haze. So I had to finish with the white pad and polish. I corrected another car that was also black with my Rupes. I was able to do a one step correction with the orange pad and correction polish. It came out flawless and perfect with a one step. That just goes to show just because it's black doesn't mean all black paints are going to be the same. That's why we do test sections to find the best and least aggressive method to correct paint.

You can get any machine you want. But if you don't have the technique and experience it doesn't matter what you have. A person with the experience and know how could take the PC 7424xp and get almost the same results as a Rupes 15 MK2 or the Rupes 21. It would take much longer but it could be done. If you don't know what the PC7424xp is then research it and read some reviews. Adam's site sells it there. It's at the bottom of the entry level polisher barrel. Experience trumps all just about. Unless you're going to be correcting a lot of paint for say, a business. The SK would be just fine for a weekend warrior. If the SK was available when I bought my Rupes, I would have bought the SK. You can get the SK and mini SK together for the same price as I paid for my Rupes MK2. Just my opinion

Amen to that. Adam's SK and mini SK together cost less than my Rupes 15 MK2. I could have saved some money. But now that I have my Rupes, I'll never part ways with it.

I'll just let it be. I always use APC for pads and applicators. Paint Sealant always seems to be stubborn.

I applied this today. I first cleaned the glass with the new aerosol glass cleaner. I then used the new cleaner as lubricant and clayed the glass. It already felt smooth but was noticeably smoother after claying. Dumped maybe 6-7 drops on half of my windshield because I want a 50/50 comparison on my windshield when it rains. Spread the product in with a microfiber applicator like you would a coating. Up and down then back and forth for good even coverage. Waiting about 2 minutes then used a mist of the spray type glass cleaner of Adam's and wiped off the residue. The I sprayed maybe 5-6 sprays of Boost on the glass wiped it in from the outside edges in. Flipped the towel over and then wiped for one final buffing. The side of the glass that is now sealed is so slick it's crazy lol. Especially compared to the other side that's not been clayed or sealed. It makes the glass look super super clear. If it wasn't for the clouds it would almost look like the glass wasn't there. This stuff goes on and off super easy. Now I'm just waiting to drive in the rain. And big props to the Adam's team for the new style sprayer on the 8oz sprayer. It works awesome.

The first and second picture were taken back to back at the same speed. The first pic is of the drivers side that has Sealant and Boost on it, the second pic is of the passenger side with no boost or Sealant. These were taken at 40mph. The third pic is at 50mph. I forgot that I already had a non Adam's product on my car. It's a drying aid I use that is very hydrophobic. So my results weren't as drastic as a true treated and untreated surface. The Sealant and Boost and still more hydrophobic than the drying aid I use. But not by much. Plus I'd say the Sealant didn't seal properly to the glass because of the other product that is already on there. I'll have to do more testing and then reply back to the thread.

The question you asked in your quote have been answered already so I'll say this. If I were you I would buy the Rupes. I have a Rupes 15mm MKll and I love it. But the Swirl Killer will get you great results and will correct any Paint with the right pad and polish combination. Get your paint looking good then put whatever wax on it you like. I heard a quote saying this, "Use what you like and use it often."

I use to use the stuff Autozone and Advanced auto parts had on the shelf. That was a long time ago. However, the Shine factor they gave my car was really really good. Side by side comparison on one panel and you couldn't tell the difference in a cheap wax or Adam's. But do the whole car in one wax, strip it and then do the whole car in Adam's wax and take a pic and see. And make sure the lighting is the same. That's when I started noticing Adam's has more Shine, and makes the metallic in my paint really pop. Plus, the durability and hydrophobic properties with Adam's is better for me. I'm not some Adam's fan boy either. There are 2 other companies I use along side Adam's and that is a deadly combo for Shine! So, I don't think you've made a mistake buying the Americana. I'm gonna try it soon myself. And offer it to customers this season when i detail their car.

The Rupes is a bit overkill for me. But the Swirl Killer wasn't out so I bought the 15mm Mark 2. Now that I have it, I won't part with it. But to do over with both machines sitting side by side, id go with the Swirl Killer. I have noticed on one of my pads from Adam's the Velcro backing is starting to delegate from the pad. Time for that pad to be thrown away I guess.
