How long does it last? It depends. Applying it a few times a year, at a minimum, should be expected. About 200 miles of in-the-rain driving will likely remove it due to friction of the wipers, as will an entire reservoir of windshield washer fluid. Any cleaner or product with ammonia and/or alcohol will also remove the GS, so be careful about what you use (Adam's GC doesn t have either). Adding the boost will only serve to prolong its life.

Agreed with Sherri...get the sealant first, then add the boost later. While it's a small bottle, don't worry, it doesn't take much to seal the windshield.

How long it last depends on your environment and how often you use windshield washer fluid.

It’s absoluteky worth it! Works incredibly well. I love the glass boost too, works great to clean the windows while boosting your sealant as well. I use glass boost alone if the windshield wasn’t too dirty to begin with

    1. I usually get a few months out of glass sealant alone here in Oregon, where it rains 3/4 of the year. It lasts even longer if I add glass boost when needed

    2. Yes it is SOOO much better than rainx, no competition adams is much better.

    3. I found that the glass sealant repels water off glass easier and faster than the guard and gloss does. I don’t do my windows with guard and gloss anymore I only use the glass sealant and boost as I found it works much better.

    4. I would say get the boost. It takes the sealant from an application every 2-3 months to going 2-3 months, soray some boost on and go another couple months. I usually do the glass sealant 2 times a year. The kit is well worth it. I no longer use my wipers and it makes cleaning the windshield super easy as well!

I absolutely love the Glass Sealant - it could possibly be my favorite Adam's chemical product (if not, it's definitely in the top 3).  It works extremely, extremely well.  I can't really say how long it lasts by itself because I also use the Glass Boost on it (plus, I reapply the Glass Sealant probably more often than I need to because I want to keep its performance at its peak - before the sealant even begins to wear off).  But I easily get a few months out of the Sealant & Glass Boost combo.

This sounds crazy, I know, but I still smile every single time it starts raining and I get to watch the water fly off the windshield.  I drove to work yesterday in the rain and didn't even need to use my wipers until I got down under 35 mph (and I last applied Glass Sealant in July, I think - using Glass Boost just once in that time period).

I also like the fact that I seem to have less water spotting on the glass after rainstorms than I used to get prior to using the sealant.

If you're only going to get one product at a time, I would get the actual Glass Sealant first and then the Glass Boost later.  By itself, Glass Sealant would provide better results than just the Boost alone, in my opinion.

Consider using H20 Guard And Gloss as your maintenance product after using liquid paint sealant.  The second coat of liquid paint sealant would be just to ensure even coverage.

I'd recommend two coats of Paint Sealant tops. Maintain with H2OGG every couple weeks. This should last you a good 5 - 6 months.

And yes - give it about an hour between coats.

It's water resistant but not completely water proof. So if you just went through a 4-hour hard rainstorm, it may have wore off in some areas, especially if it wasn't fully dry prior to the start of the rain. The good thing is that a little product goes a long way, so you shouldn't need much if you need to reapply in some areas.

I've made the mistake of mixing products on the trim that leave kind of a chalky white or uneven finish (I think it was VRT and then In and Out spray).  Best advice I got on these forums when this happened was to use one of the brushes and some APC (or new Tire and Rubber Cleaner) to take all product off.  It takes a bit of scrubbing but you can get the trim back to clean and then dress with one product.

Nothing in the products that would make your trim turn white.

No, after a wash or two your trim will be the same as it was before. VRT and In & Out Spray are both dressings that you would have to easily re-apply.

Not buttery for your hot application.

I would seal with LPS and add Americana on top of that 2 or 3 times a year if it spends that much time in the sun.

Yes, or 3 pea size drops on the applicator.
I use 6" machine pad to hand apply PS.  It is firmer than the hex grip and MF applicators, so it is a little easier to use, and allows me to get a thinner coat of the product applied.

Ah but you need to buff LPS too. Couldn't help myself, sorry! Even Quick Sealant needed to be buffed off.

I see what you mean. I'm guessing that the challenge lies in making something sprayable that will still be as brutally strong.

The G&G can last 2 months in the same way LPS can last 6 months. I think most of us will not let it go that long between applications simply because it's so easy, which is another reason why it's more than acceptable to last "only" a couple months.

Another thing to consider, it might have been that you used too much paint sealant. It's easy to overdo it, and will make removal more difficult. With the right thin application it's a very easy product to work with.

With the liquid paint sealant you put on a layer thinner than you can imagine, one or two panels at a time (probably just one if by hand as that takes longer) and wipe it off. There is really no buffing involved, it comes off really easily.

Yep.  It can be a little "globby" if you don't spray it sharply.

Still wipes away without issue but it's a little easier to get an even spread of you spray it hard and fast.  Takes a little practice....

I too like Chris used to go through many websites looking for the best deal for xyz product.  I came to learn very quickly that the best deal is often times not worth the money spent on it. Not only that but i have found that you need to use more of the cheaper products to get almost similar results to the higher quality stuff. For example Griots' detail spray doesn't even begin to compare with Adams,  yes it is more affordable but not by much and it definitely does not help with the ease of detail job whatever it might be. The results are not the same and the time spent isn't either.  I do think that once you get into the products of one company it is hard to leave it as Chris also pointed out, which is why you need to choose carefully what company you invest in.

I speak from personal experience because I chose another company and am now transitioning over to Adams because of the excellent quality of products, the even better ease of use and on top of everything else the unmatched customer service.  All of these things are important for me when it comes to my detailing products. It really just depends on what is important to you when it comes to detailing your car.

Best of luck with whatever you chose to use brother! Sorry to ramble a bit haha.

    4 + 1 is 5 parts - divide 24 by 5 and you get 1 of the parts = 4.8 oz

    so 4 parts is 4 x 4.8 = 19.2 - remaining 4.8 is the final part = 24 oz

Easier way to think about it... For every 4oz of water add 1oz of product.

Roughly 20oz of water and 5oz of product.

    1. Leather and Interior Cleaner is what you want if your interior has any soiling and needs true cleaning. It can then be followed up with Leather Conditioner for protection. Interior Detailer is best for maintenance cleaning, when there are smudges or light dirt that just to be "tidied up".

    2. Deep Wheel Cleaner's name was changed to just Wheel Cleaner. The formula has been improved as well. Wheel Cleaner is an awesome product but is not necessary each time you clean your wheels. If you use a sealant on the wheels, simple car shampoo will clean them with ease.

    3. H20 Guard and Gloss (spray sealant) realistically lasts around 2 months. Some can get slightly longer or slightly less due to a number of conditions.
