  1. Oldie but goodie video from Adam on layering with PS, BG, BW and Americana. Note neither HGG nor Ceramic Boost had been released yet, and Patriot, I think, was a limited release at the time (someone that's been around Adam's longer feel free to chime in...video is from September 2014). He even gives a shout-out to the forums on here...pretty cool. And the forums have exploded in membership since. 10K members then to nearly 17K today. But who's doing "wild and cray" stuff on here?!
  2. , Dao! MBs are a great way to start...and keep the addiction going later on, too. Ask any questions you have, we're all here to learn and help.
  3. Highly recommend PS, especially for a daily. Protection lasts ateast 6 months. Yes, you should still strip and clay a new vehicle. Also strongly consider Iron Remover to further remove any residual rail dust. Then polish, seal, and HGG (or wax) and watch it shine like a new penny! Post some pics when you're all done. Adam's PS is advertised to last at least 6 months. Maintaining with HGG, which is an acrylic product like the sealant, or the Ceramic Boost, which is a silica-based product bht still higly effective, will ensure continued protection and shine. If I remember, your car is white, right? Assuming so, here's an example of the results I got this spring with strip wash, clay mitt, CP, and just PS. 3+ months and counting and my PS is holding up just fine. Adding HGG only adds more protection and makes it shine that much more. Yep, you'd be fine. But I really recommend HGG. Strip wash it first to remove any residual wax, etc. Then yes, clay will be recommended. Before clay, you could do the baggie test, as well, if only for grins to see (feel) the difference after clay. Another tip: Don't dry the car after rinsing the strip wash...it'll help add more lubricity in addition to the DS. Also, each time you clay, just be aware it may cause some marring of the paint so a polish may be in order. Swirls obviously aren't as noticeable on white, but you may need to polish no less. When you do reapply the PS, be sure to strip wash it again, clay, etc. Another product to recommend but I haven't used but have seen in action is the Iron Remover, especially on white. If not available, WC is another option; just don't let either dry on the paint.
  4. Welcome to the addiction, Wayne! You're gonna break the bank eventually. May as well do it like a Band-Aid. Right off! https://adamspolishes.com/shop/kits/washing-cleaning/adam-s-ultimate-kit.html Add in the 15% off and free shipping, and it's an even better deal. Trust me. You'll spend it eventually. It's only a matter of time. You've been warned.
  5. You can start with one and see how it goes. Constantly rewetting it will help keep it from hardening. Just be sure to always close the cap in between drops. But you can have two sides available by using the ones adjacent to the side with the seam instead of the one opposite it.
  6. So question based in ignorance...are "lots of pads" needed because they will become clogged with...what? Paint? Polish? All the above? Something else? Never done a single stage and only seen a brief demo.
  7. You got it! Sorry about that. Oz gave a good tip, and acronyms are also posted here. For the order, PS first (should last at least 6 months on a daily), then use HGG every 3-4 washes to maintain. I personally don't use wax on my white car as the HGG lasts at least a month and offers outstanding shine and protection. But if you want to use it, no harm...just might not be necessary. Recommend you read the article I gave above as it also talks about layering. Then, try the options and see what you think. But the paint sealant, if used, should be first since it bonds best to bare paint (some use BG just before PS, but I don't). Post some pics when you have it all Adamized!
  8. Welcome, Perry! In any other circumstances, admittal is first on the road to recovery. In this case, only shine can help.
  9. Welcome, Edgar! Let's see some pics of your ride(s).
  10. Welcome, Elias! I also have a white car, and for it I'd recommend a PS and HGG combo. At least until you decide on coating. Wax will also add some protection, but it won't give quite the depth as on darker colored cars. Thus the reason I personally recommend the others. W&W works great on white, too. Suggest you read this for more on the products and then decide what you want to try.
  11. Could not agree more, Jamey! Emery and Matt both went out of there way to take care of me on a recent visit to the HQ. Hats off to both of you guys...and the entire Adam's team!! Keep up the great work.
  12. @pirahnah3 gives some good inputs. Here's an article for more on product differences, expected results, etc.
  13. Sorry, but according to the forum rules, you have to have at least 50 posts to trade, and Adam's chemicals can't be sold on here. Recommend you work on your forum count and then try down the road. Looking forward to having you on here!
  14. Sorry you're having trouble...the coatings are found under Shop - Exterior - Coatings. The In & Out Spray is listed here: https://adamspolishes.com/adam-s-in-and-out-spray.html
  15. Here's a thread by @07stanggt and his wet sanding adventure...might be of interest for products he used successfully. Good luck, and be sure to post some before and after pics!
  16. My money is on tater salad. @Hookem06, inquiring minds...and stomachs...want to know!
  17. So this was Sunday, but drove to the top of Pikes Peak. Along the way, saw a Camaro with similar branding but couldn't stop, then this one at the top. Adam's is everywhere!
  18. Enough??!! To detail your Challenger...and all others there!! Oh, and remember, Jim. Pics or it didn't happen.
  19. Welcome, William! Lots of great info on here, so feel free to ask any questions you have. Also check out the videos posted on the Adam's site. https://adamspolishes.com/video
  20. Where on God's great creation is that place???!!!
  21. Both will work, but the IR was specifically designed for this...and it smells SO much better. Also note the blue WC does not need to be diluted for iron decon. It was the old pink formula was best diluted for decon. Heres a video...
  22. I should probably offer something of benefit here, so I'll add a link to help you learn how to differentiate between different products: Check out the other articles in that part of the forum, too (Adam's Detailing Library).
  23. Oh, and if there was any lingering doubt...you're sniffing the products wondering how they'd taste. Just don't get too close to the WC. ??
  24. You bought a Mystery Bucket, you're here asking questions, and most of all, you're using Adam's. Trust me. You're addicted.
