  1. Thanks for the reviews, Todd. I was considering a couple of those so nice to read about them. For the brush, you can always add felt or something similar, and then use any leftovers to make the seat's bottle holders a better fit. But good feedback...maybe consider posting some I the Product reviews forum.
  2. Yes, you can. Can't vouch for its performance but I'm sure others can/will chime in. You can also do a quick search on here for feedback.
  3. No harm in trying TRC, maybe not even diluted. And agreed, the BG is a good tip from @ZMAN024. The solvents will settle at the top while in storage, so you can carefully use just that portion if the need arises.
  4. If nothing else on there, try APC. It'll break down what is on there and then you can reapply the HGG using either wer or dry method.
  5. You may not have rinsed it all off and locked in the shampoo suds under the HGG, or used too much HGG in those areas. Have you tried a clean, dry MF by itself? Ok, maybe a little elbow grease, too. If the above doesn't work, do you have anything else on the car besides HGG, like PS, wax, etc? If not, Eco APC and a towel will strip it off, then you can just reapply. But if there's anything else besides coating, I'll take it off, too, so you will need to reapply it all. As for process, when I use HGG, I apply and remove it one panel at a time. If the car starts to dry, just rewet the surface. Since you like to use it indoors, you can use a spray bottle.
  6. Make sure he takes it. He may not know it's his.
  7. Nice work, John. I'm learning the same thing.
  8. It has a light citrus scent. Way better than the original blue, and way, way better than the older pink Deep Wheel Cleaner. That stuff really smells bad.
  9. Strip washed, clayed, polished, sealed and (Buttery) waxed a customer's car. 2015 Infiniti Q70S, Malibu Black. He said it hasn't looked this good since the day he bought it new, and better than when he had it done by a local pro detailer just last fall. Music to my ears! Now his wife wants her Explorer done, inside and out. ? Before After
  10. I only have a small bottle of the Prep. Plus, a bottle of IPA is $2.50, the prep several times the cost. I wasn't aware of lubricants in the Prep, but by using a quality MF towel, that lessens most of my fears. To each his or her own, I guess.
  11. Like @rrmccabe said, you can add a few ounces of Eco APC to your wash bucket with the CS in the absence of SW. It'll do the same thing. When I say remove polish residue, you can use a 50/50 isopropyl alcohol and water mix with some blue Waterless Wash towels. Ceramic Prep also works great. It's a way of removing the oils from the polish prior to wax, sealant, etc.
  12. Thanks, Rich. Didn't know they were out there, was more of a random thought with Dan. That price would put me out of the market, and I agree, don't want junk. Guess we will see if a lower cost but still quality model becomes a reality or not.
  13. Yes, you should still strip wash it. But then again, you should still strip it even if you don't use the HGG, so may as well enjoy the shine in the meantime!
  14. Hey, team Adam's! I talked to @Dan@Adams earlier today...any thoughts about offering a collapsible detail cart? Would help with mobile detailing services, for sure, as well as storage in the garage, shed, etc. I'm not an engineer, but I'm thinking some sort of telescoping legs would be easiest, or maybe accordion style brackets. Basically, something that has a couple shelves and breaks down easily.
  15. Looks good. Few more tips...VRT all trim after strip wash, before clay to make removing any residue you WILL get on it much easier at the end. Then touch up as necessary. Remember to remove polsih residue before wax. And consider taping off any sharp emblems to avoid damaging your pads. Add an adult beverage or two to the mix (assuming you're of age!), and post some pics when done! I might also add...that's one BEAUTIFUL ride! ?
  16. First time for everything, Dan. As for the sprayer option, makes sense. It is nice to have a few spares since I've had some crack as you mentioned. Trying to track it down to that level of detail (no pun intended...happy coincidence!) may only serve to add delays to the process.
  17. Actually, TRC and Eco APC are two different, yet awesome in their own right, products. Perhaps what the person meant was they could be used interchngably on tires, rubber and plastic trim, which is true. Haven't heard of using TRC much elsewhere on the car. Eco APC is just that, an all purpose degreaser anx cleaner that works on just about anything. And that's not just cars. Grills, around the house, etc.
  18. That Ford tuxedo black is a good lookin' color. Let's see some pics. Another great article I still think should be mandatory reading for all new members/detailers:
