I have noticed the same thing, maybe it should be 50 posts, plus 3 months of activity to cut down on the games.   I know there have been a few items that interested me that people have put up for trading, but I'm focused on building my supplies so I have nothing to give yet.   When and if I am ready to do some trading, I can assure you that it will be of equal value, we should be here because we believe in the products and outcome, not to make a buck off one another.

Pizza only requires Bacon to be perfect, anything else is merely trying to distract you from the perfection known as Bacon, and none of that round stuff, that is HAM not bacon, and if it didnt come from a pig.......lets not even start with that.

    Hello,
I have a question to whoever is wanting to trade. I know most of us want to trade for stuff we don't have including me. But I have to be honest some of you want to trade but don't know the value you are trading for. I make trades but expect the trade value of the bottle. If you want to make a profit or scam someone don't do it here. eBay is doing a great job for that. Example if I need a Ceramic Boost and its up for trade. I will trade you for the value of it not 1 item less then that. Come one getting tired of people who are just posting to make it to 50 post to trade that for me is shady. They don't even try to make sense on there post . I have done a few trades here and can say there's a few good people here. I was hesitant to trade at first thought what if I get scammed. Then I said oh well lets see how it goes luckily I have trade with good people. But social media is a big thing because you can report that person and words spreads out. Sorry Guys and Gals just wanted to speak what I have been reading and thinking.  If you felt insulted by this I'm sorry but this get old. I'm in for Adamspolsihes  not to make profit could of done it some many times .

That's too bad. Having seen at least one recently (SK rental, I think?), I thought they were ok. Perhaps a way around it is to have Adam's offer a few options, we vote, and the releases (hint, hint for making this a multi-year thing like Pumpkin Spice and July 4th) are done in order of how the vote ends. In other words, the winning scent (and maybe artwork, if that's even an option) is released first, the second the following year, etc. That way, everyone gets their choice - from a predetermined list - but they may have to wait a bit. Maybe the poll could be closed for comments to try and keep smack talk in check.

While I thought our involvement could be fun, I also don't want to cause in-fighting. If a vote/poll isn't the best option, I'm sure we'll be great with whatever might be offered.

Either way, thanks for the consideration!

So true, Jim. But I'll save you future disucssions. It's pepperoni. Deep dish. From Lou Malnati's. Mic drop.  ?

I looked at this question for a while before I made the big decision to do two of my vehicles by flipping them.  Both are Dark Red which allowed me to get a real comparison on how they looked and my preference for looks is BG then PS.  What I don't have yet, is the longevity since it has not been on the vehicles long enough.  In my opinion, if I get 3 months from either, I'll be more than happy.  Both vehicles have been topped with Buttery Wax and Ceramic Boost, so the only difference is the order of the BG and PS.

In preparation for an activity on Saturday, I started very early this morning preparing the truck, let's just say there was light when I started.  After I hit the tires with Tire & Rubber Cleaner, the wheels with Eco Wheel Cleaner and the tire wells with Under Carriage Spray,  I started with a Strip Wash and was prepared to do a Claybar, but after inspection it didn't need it.  It had only been ~3 months since the last clay and the truck had been well protected and had less than 300 miles put on it.  If you are wondering why I went with a strip wash, I wanted to improve the base and it was an opportunity put to practice everything I was learning from reading, viewing video's and forum member feedback.

Step #1: I made sure it was spotless and I put it in the garage
Step #2: VRT or 303 all the trim.  Note: VRT works wonders on the Aeroskin II bug guard, air dam and a few other places.  303 is used on the tonneau cover and window trim.
Step #3: I did one panel at a time with Brilliant Glaze - checked the truck twice for any missed spots
Step #4: one panel at a time with Paint Sealant - repeat checking pattern
Break - Lunch: Fried egg sandwich, the daughters dog was happy, she got scrambled eggs
Step #5: check for misses again (none) - put Buttery Wax on the entire truck
Step #6: Removed Buttery Wax from the entire truck
Break - After break - checked the entire truck for white spots, misses, etc.. Found a few white spots, easily taken care of
Step #7: One panel at a time with Ceramic Boost and then the rims last
    Step #8: Windows
Step #9: pulled it into the drive and took this picture

I have one place that I am not happy about with the results and am hoping someone can assist.  The running boards are Westin HDX's and are black steel.  The step pads clean up nicely, but I cannot seem to manage to get any luster into the running boards themselves.  Any suggestions?

As always, I appreciate feedback on ways to improve the outcome in the future.

Picked this up for free...... Fixed fuel line, freed up hi/lo shifter and runs like a top. And of course a little Adams love. Came without deck. Found another parts mower with bad transaxle. Has nice deck and snow plow, and good engine. $250 for that one. I think I scored pretty well.

Well, got the detail done on the Impala today.  Thanks to those that responded on my "Procedure Check" thread.  Did almost all of it, but did not do any paint protection work.  Could it have used some?  Yes, in a couple areas.  But just didn't have time or energy.  Got engine compartment done, when wheels/wheel wells, Iron Remover, then wash with Strip Wash.  Dried, Clayed, Headlight Restoration steps, then Paint Sealant and BG.  Finished off touching up all exterior trim, tires, and then did interior.  First round of BG on interior of windshield on this car.  So far liking it on the truck.

Paint seemed to be in much better shape than I anticipated.  Clay work wasn't too hard and bugs there were on the front end came off easily before washing.

Now, if the wife could just keep it clean while driving.  Not bad for 77,000 miles on her.  Some sunshine for pics would have been nice, but I'm not complaining.  Stayed overcast with slight breeze all day which made the work more bearable.

Hello!  New to the forum, AND to Adams!  Loving both too.  I got turned on to Adams polish and waxes by a few recommendations from folks at the National Corvette Museum, and both my brother and I recently tried some of your products.  We are both VERY impressed and very satisfied!.

Both my brother and I like keeping all of our vehicles spotless.  For example, we've been boating all of our lives, and for the last  20 years of so we've run in poker runs for offshore performance boats, and everywhere we go folks would ask is if the boat is new.  The last one, 30' Skater Catamaran, was 11 years old when it sold this past spring, and no one could believe it was not new!  That's pride of ownership.  I wish we had known about and tried the Adams line of products on the boat before it sold.   We treat our cars and trucks the same, and Adams will only make it easier for us now.  ?

Along with drag racing a 1982 Pontiac Grand Prix with a big cube small block in it,  my "fun" street car is a 2003 Corvette 50th Anniversary Edition, and my brother's fun car is a spanking new 2019 Corvette Z06.  We participated in the Corvette Engine Build Experience in Bowling Green KY, hosted by the museum.  What an awesome experience!  Building his engine, and then seeing it installed into his new Z06 with the nameplate stating "Handbuilt by Gary and Ron" was the icing on the cake.

Anyway, glad to have found out about Adams products, and this forum.  Looks like it going to be a nice relationship!  ?

Sorry to hear that, Eric. Mistakes happen, especially with manual packing processes, but not surprised to hear they took care of you as quickly as possible. And since they did, is the moral of this post to ensure you have all required tools and products before starting a job? If so, good advice!

RayS reacted to ColoradoSHObro in Thank you to the folks at headquarters! . . always blown away
Alright so i've always had great experiences when visiting the headquarters and a thank you post is overdue. I visit there more frequently than i should and everyone i deal with is eager to help and answer questions. They always give great deals when you checkout and most times i've been given a product or two for free.
Special thanks to Emery who helped me out a while ago and donated a bottle of Brilliant Glaze to help me out with some chemical streaks. He saw me looking at the car outside and came out to look at the issue with me. I got great service before i even stepped foot inside! Of course i had a thousand other questions which he graciously took the time to answer and gave me a great deal on some ceramic paste wax. Thank you Emery!
Just yesterday i stopped by to grab a couple mystery boxes. Someone came right out and told me where there was a small stack of mystery boxes were and told me to feel free to sort through them and pick the ones i wanted! what!? i get to hand pick my mystery boxes? . . . yep, good day. I chatted with the rep(sorry didn't get his name) for a bit, asked a few questions and and as we were talking Phillip walked by and said "hold tight, i've got something for ya!". He came out from the back with a black trim restorer kit and handed it to me. Seriously, is it my birthday or something!? NO . . . i was just at the Adams headquarters.
Seriously every time i've been there it's been a unique and memorable experience. Every adams employee truly cares about your experience and won't stop until you walk away in awe of their customer service skills. If anyone has the chance to visit Adam's Polishes Headquarters i HIGHLY suggest you do so.
This is one company that is still doing things right on pretty much every level.  So rare and Refreshing to see these days.
Thank you to everyone at the headquarters for . . . well just always being awesome!

    See you again soon,
    Travis

@shane@detailedreflections Thank you, your wife and your daughter for providing the children with a family.  The value of having a family to lean on and nurture children during the early years cannot be taken for granted.  What the three of you are doing now will reflect in how these children grow up and behave for the rest of their lives.

I have one recommendation for you, find a way to get some quality time with your wife and daughter, especially your daughter.  The teen years can be trying and doing something as simple as getting a babysitter for the young ones and taking your wife and daughter to dinner or even out for ice cream to breath and talk will make a big difference.

I would really have to question the quality of the products being used and the detail of of the work to that for $50.   At least with those prices, he won't be doing it very long and you won't have any competition to worry about.

I will hand wash a sedan for $50 and use H20 Guard and Gloss as the drying agent along with hitting the wheels with Eco Wheel Cleaner and Tire & Rubber Cleaner, which takes about an hour and $10 worth of product.  Don't forget to calculate the cost of washing the towels and the MicroFiber Revitalizer along with the water usage if you are on city water or electricity if you are on a well.

That leaves me $40 of which the US Government is taking 15% for Social Security tax, then you have your regular US income tax estimate 8%, state tax estimate 6% - I round up to 35%, just to make sure I keep enough in the bank for taxes and fees.   $40 - $14 (35%), which leaves you with $26 for the hour you spent washing the car.   Fortunately, I don't have to hire an accountant to do the quarterly and annual business taxes, I'm married to one.

Flex 3401, Adams 2 step paint correcting polish, Adams Liquid Paint Sealant and a coat of Americana. Sealant also applied on wheels, VRT "milk" on tires.

As the title says, here are a couple cars that were done with an overlay of Adams Ceramic Paste Wax on top of CQtz. I did not clay or buff the cars as both would start eating away at the ceramic that was already done. A very good bath was done with Adams Car Shampoo, a very good wipe down with Adams Detail Spray, and then a coat of Adams Cer. P Wax. I think the combo looks insane, as well as very well protected paint. I will have to say the new Adams C wax brought the shine to a hole new level.

I never use a hose to directly add water for diluting chemicals.  Unless your hose is filtered, it will introduce contaminates that can be avoided by either letting the water sit in a jug and only pouring off the top or by using filtered water from inside the house.  City water will have chlorine or other additives and well water has its own set of characteristics, in my case I have a high lime content.  You can also get filters for a funnel, but I only used them a couple of times and they didn't seem to be too effective.

We will have a 2 car garage so I'm going to get it set up to be able to detail on the weekends to make a little cash and feed my Adam's addiction. I have been giving my non Adam's stuff to my dad.
