Very informative video, thanks for posting the link.  I have all the towels in the segment, except the drying towel and that is in my wish list.  I add a couple of towels into every order as I'm trying to replace all the various vendor towels.  Of course, I took advantage of the 24 stack borderless grays when they were on sale.   The one thing missing from the video, is the microfiber blanket.  My oldest absolutely wants one and when/if they come back, she will get one.  No, she is not spoiled - she is just developing an addiction and I'm trying to help cope with it.  She is the daughter that helps me with the vehicles.

I'll start by saying "I'm sorry" to anyone that may have had to wait a bit on hold last Friday early afternoon. But I assure you the Adam's team was in full-on service mode.   Following yet another awesome visit to the HQ last week, I walked to my car only to find it was dead. Enter Emery and Tyler. Both jumped into action, trying all they could to help. Unfortunately, neither the battery charger from the warehouse nor a jump-start worked. Meanwhile, it was a cool 90'+ in the parking lot, yet no complaints from either one.   Then, without hesitation, they offered to have Tyler drive me to AutoZone to get a new battery. I told them I have roadside assistance, but they wouldn't take "no" for an answer. Wow. Instead, I now owe them both a lunch for going out of their way to help a stranded customer. Anywhere else along the road and I'm sure I'd have waited a much longer time and/or run into someone not nearly as willing to help.   It's for this reason, and many others, I will remain a loyal customer of Adam's for years to come. Thanks so much, Tyler and Emery! Simply put, you guys are awesome.

Ok, so I'm a flipping idiot......I've been in that bay 6 May for the Horsepower Detail Clinic  & took home a couple buckets full of product......I asked if ya were going to detail cars and never really got a good answer....

However, looking at the pictures, I can see a sign above the car as Adam washes it, heck you guys should have a lot of pictures as one of your guys got a camera and took tons of pictues & made it should like some video even... ?     ?

My vehicles are all variations of Red from Bright Red to Cajun Red and range from 21 years old to one year old and I am strictly an amateur when it comes to detailing.  I used HGG for the first time a couple of weeks ago and was very impressed with the outcome, it was very easy to use and the effect was excellent.

Before I use any product I read the feedback from the forum members, watch the video's and hit google for insight outside of this forum.  I also tend to watch the video again the night before I use the product for the first time and again in the morning while the coffee is kicking in.  That reminds me, I really want some of the Cars and Coffee DS... I regress.

I never get in a hurry and if I need to take a break and hit the web if something doesn't look or feel right, I most certainly do so.  This isn't to say that I have not messed up a few times, I'm still experimenting with some of the products and building my library of layering for each vehicle.  Maybe the difference is the black vehicles vs Red, I don't think I'll touch a black car until we my son-in-law returns from deployment in November and we do his 1971 Datsun 240Z.  For me, on the Red vehicles HGG is a winner and I expect it to be part of my long term regiment.

I did my 30' motorhome once and it took days to complete.  I always worked on the shade side and to keep track of the block I was working on, I used painters tape.   My method was to do a 2'x4' block in the back and once I had product applied, I had time to mark off the next 2'x4' block in the front before working the block in the back.  Next I would apply the product to the front and go back and forth, eventually meeting in the middle.

For marking the blocks, I used blue painters tape and it never left any residue that a quick wipe a microfiber towel couldn't take care of, just don't leave the tape on too long.

A few more pointers, if you leave it plugged in and the refrigerator running, the heat that comes through the side will affect the reaction time of the Paint Sealant.  Also, check the condensation drains at the bottom of windows before you hit them with the applicator.  I had a couple that still had water in them and ran down the side when I brushed them with the applicator.  For the graphics, you can go over them, but they are generally a thicker matte, so I always traced the graphic instead of going from the fiberglass to the graphic due to the bump.

RayS got a reaction from falcaineer in Car Shampoo Vs Ultra Foam Shampoo
I have the standard foam gun and have used the regular shampoo and ultra shampoo.  The difference that I have found is that I need a little less shampoo with the Ultra for the same results.  The product descriptions say Concentrated and Ultra say Super Concentrated, which would explain why less is required.

I am on a well and my water pressure is 55 at the hose, I wouldn't call it high pressure, but it isn't bad either.  I am using the Yellow tip and in reviewing the description on the foam gun it states:  The Adam's Car Wash Foam Gun now ships with only 2 yellow-green and 2 purple metering tips. We recommend using the yellow-green metering tip and keeping the other as a spare. The purple metering tip can be used for a higher flowrate, but it will use up the Car Shampoo and water mixture in the 32oz bottle more quickly.
My flowrate isn't real high due to pipe sizing, but the pressure is good and I get good coverage with either shampoo and the Yellow tip.  I have not tried using the Purple tip since the Yellow was recommended and it works good.

When placing a order they remark how good it will be for their vehicle When a order arrives they act as if you are doing their car the next day When their requests interfere with your planned activities Can you make my car: Have a cleaner windshield Smell better Outshine the neighbors ...And anything else you can think of You know the co-dependency is really bad when they state:   How can you possibly go play golf when it rained yesterday and my car got dirty.  No worries, I'll get started on her car about 7:00 AM and I can go play golf on Monday.

HUH?  Guard n Gloss is one of the easiest products to use.  Leave your car wet, spray on the G&G , and wipe off with a damp rag and wipe with a dry cloth.   I have my cars both waxed,  and every 3 washes or so, I hit it with the G&G and it still looks great.

And the headlights and tails ate popping now.  The car just looks more high end to me now.  .....i'm hooked

I have been detailing my cars for a long time, still a lot to learn, but have just started using Adams products this summer. I am beyond amazed as i continue to try new products from them, and just how much protection and shine Improvement it has provided my cars. This is the finished result from a recent wash where I used Revive Polish, Brilliant Glaze, then topped with some Buttery wax ( looking to switch to Americana or patriot later down the road). But have been blow away with the results.  Two weeks later and probably 600-700 miles still looked almost flawless. The next wash all the bugs and grime pretty much fell off the car with just the rinse in the beginning.  These products are truly amazing, can't wait to continue building up my arsenal.

At at least now I know I'm not the only one that has been trained by their wife.  Even though she smiles every time someone compliments her car and is a co-dependent on my addiction, she viewed the ebay list as a bit excessive for now.

I want to point out and reiterate a statement Chris made - If you drop it, replace it - don't use it, especially if you have sand like we do in South Carolina.  Someone, who shall remain nameless, dropped it in sand and before the brain engaged, had ran it over half the trunk of a car.  Then the Oh "Adjective" hit and the person realized what he'd done - it took him 3 times as long to correct that half a trunk than it did to get out a new clay bar and do the rest of the car.

I put in my order last night for this sale.  The tough part was explaining to the wife, who is an accountant, why we needed a second order in July.  The important thing is that she is happy with the way her car looks and she knows that anything I get is for her car first ?

Ok guys, so just finished dropping my wife off at DIA and dropped by Adam's Polishes showroom. I am super impressed by their enthusiasm, helpfullness and customer support. I walked in and the guy behind the glass office walked out and greeted me, not sure who he was but I'm guessing someone higher up, then he he went out of his way and went to the back to make sure someone was there to help me. He greeted me, asked what I needed help with and i just told him I was looking to get some BG and some PS, he said no problem and even threw in a free red hex applicator, and then I noticed that they had some USA Limited edition spray on the shelf and asked him how much it was, he told me he could sell it to me for 10 bucks.
So he totaled it to 50 bucks, not sure if that's just from the top of his head or just a round number to help me out but seemed like a great deal already as it was saving me money and shipping. So I tell him I'm going to pay 37 in cash and the rest on the card, and when I hand him the 37 he told me I was good to go and not to worry about the rest. I am absolutely floored and blown away. I'm I'm going to be an Adam's customer for life on the service alone. So friendly, and the store front guy seemed like he wanted to be there and was happy. It's something I've never experienced.

The only 3M products I used was their wet sanding paper, all other products to get the scratches out was Adams. Have used 3M 105 compound etc., its not going to cut as well as Adams Used a Flex 3401, 2 step pain correcting polish from Adams as well as Adams pads, finished off with Adams Brilliant Glaze and the Adams Patriot Wax.
Pics are my Shelby 6 months later looking as good as it did the day I was done with it !

RayS reacted to falcaineer in Using BG AND PS combo questions
Highly recommend PS, especially for a daily. Protection lasts ateast 6 months. Yes, you should still strip and clay a new vehicle. Also strongly consider Iron Remover to further remove any residual rail dust. Then polish, seal, and HGG (or wax) and watch it shine like a new penny! Post some pics when you're all done.

Adam's PS is advertised to last at least 6 months. Maintaining with HGG, which is an acrylic product like the sealant, or the Ceramic Boost, which is a silica-based product bht still higly effective, will ensure continued protection and shine.

If I remember, your car is white, right? Assuming so, here's an example of the results I got this spring with strip wash, clay mitt, CP, and just PS. 3+ months and counting and my PS is holding up just fine. Adding HGG only adds more protection and makes it shine that much more.

Yep, you'd be fine. But I really recommend HGG.

Strip wash it first to remove any residual wax, etc. Then yes, clay will be recommended. Before clay, you could do the baggie test, as well, if only for grins to see (feel) the difference after clay. Another tip: Don't dry the car after rinsing the strip wash...it'll help add more lubricity in addition to the DS. Also, each time you clay, just be aware it may cause some marring of the paint so a polish may be in order. Swirls obviously aren't as noticeable on white, but you may need to polish no less. When you do reapply the PS, be sure to strip wash it again, clay, etc. Another product to recommend but I haven't used but have seen in action is the Iron Remover, especially on white. If not available, WC is another option; just don't let either dry on the paint.
