Good stuff as always.  What is the name of that color?

Everyone talks about swirls and how bad they are. We know they’re bad. They’re also very easy to get, sometimes without even knowing. 
 
We began working on a two week old Ram 1500 that came to us with just 800 miles on the clock. The owner hadn’t washed it since he made an appointment with us to give it the business. 
 
When the truck came, it didn’t look too bad. Some minor defects here and there, but workable. After washing the truck, we found more defects. 
 
As we were ready to start polishing, we put it under our Astro Pneumatic colormatch light (similar to a handheld scanlight). And that’s where things went sideways.

You can easily how bad the damage is to the finish of this new truck under the proper lighting.
 
Without proper (maybe even specialty) lighting, we would never have caught just how bad it is.
 
Lighting took us from a finishing polish as new vehicle prep to compounding, correcting and finishing polish. We still have more to go tomorrow, but it’s looking good so far. 
 

 
Don’t underestimate the power of proper lighting and techniques. Sometimes you need to change the plan in the middle. 
 
All photos were taken under the same light with just my phone to write this. There was no change between them. Lighting is one of the most important aspects to proper detailing. 

I spent some time on a 1994 Lexus SC400 today.  The car has 285,000 miles and the paint is the original paint.  We found a couple of places where the clear coat needs repair and it is a known item for the car and there is a repair kit available.  We'll look at doing the repair in late September or early October and a redo of the shine in November.  Overall, we're rather pleased with the way it came out given the age and miles.
 
We are out of Red vehicles and are actively looking for some to buy and correct mechanically and/or visually.  We do this as a hobby and while we never turn down a profit on a vehicle, it is not our objective, we just don't want to end up at a loss.  If anyone knows of a Red vehicle available for purchase in the South East (South Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina) that would be a challenge and viable or has a Red Make/Model that they'd like us to try and find and do, let me know.  Most of the vehicles end up going to high school students, college students or young couples starting out so we make sure they are mechanically sound and safe.

Washed the corvette this morning. Added some BG... I’m impressed! 

Dropped my son off at the University of Delaware on Wednesday.  Gave his 2010 Rubicon some Adam's love today.

Pretty sure I saw on Instagram that the green untamed bottle was sent to owner before final edits.  Also if I recall correctly it's a one of one.

Detailed my father in law's truck today.  Had several scuffs that I didn't think would come out but I told him let's give it a shot. I had received the revive polish in my TOMB.  I was blown away, kind of like the first time you use a magic eraser.  Looking forward to using this more till I can get comfortable with a polisher.

Recently finished my garage and would love to hang a large "Adam's" sign or banner.

Hello everyone!  My name is Mike. I purchased my 2015 M5 back in February and for a while I allowed a mobile detailer to care for Grace (Hence my name Grace_the_M5).  He did a good job, but there came a point where I wanted to start caring for her the way I knew she was worthy of. I don't remember how I stumbled upon Adam's products, but man o man am I glad I did. Great products, great customer service.
 
How long has Adam's been your go-to for car care? Am I the only one who has named his car? Please share photos and names of your car! Haha 

This poor little Lotus needed some serious help ! I was at a car show and I met this nice lady that was blown away how beautiful my paint was on my Mustang I brought to the show. She asked me "how did you get your paint so perfect like that"? After a short description on that matter she brought to her car and said she had a detailer buff it out for her but it still has some scratches in it. YIKES I said, a detailer did that to your paint !? She said a friend of hers did it, I said he should no longer be your friend. !! Most of the car has been wrapped with Expel, just to make it that much harder on me. So after many hours on the Lotus, needless to say it is now the beautiful Green color she should have had in the first place. Although she does track the car at events, it will hold up pretty well. 2 step paint correction with Adams polishes, Liquid paint sealant, B Glaze, Americana, Deep Wheel Cleaner, VRT.  

Just took advantage of this to restock on several items.  Also used the gift cards my wife got me for my birthday.  Have some of those fancy hose slides on the way.

Ordered the new Ceramic Boost and a Master Blaster last night.  Officially finished my Adam's detailing collection — NOT. Haha.  

Ordered from a dealer, got an awesome package! Not only did I get the product I needed AND FAST! but they also included a 2oz detail spray and some candy. Granted not Adams mints but wow it was over and above. 

My wife's Jeep and really excited about doing my neighbors Cadillac CTS tomorrow.

Did a maintenance wash on a customers GMC. Used the Wash and Wax and I gotta say I am impressed.
