  1. Welcome Trenton! I'm not a huge Ford fan but that's a good looking line up. I live in Indianapolis. I have found one dealer in Indy but he doesn't have a showroom. You can order on his site and then select local pick up. I think that has to be approved first though. I have spoken to him a couple times on Facebook but have not purchased anything from him yet. Google "Furious Shine".
  2. This explains why they might not have had Mini SK MB this year.
  3. Take a look at this page. It may help answer your questions and help determine which products you are safe to leave out there and which ones you might want to try to sneak in the house.
  4. Go lower šŸ˜ˆ That's a sweet truck and it sounds like its only going to get better.
  5. When I apply TS, I spray it into a foam block and rub it onto the tire. This keeps me from spraying it all over everything that's not a tire and I can also rub it in real well and get even coverage. I've never had any problems doing it this way. I don't see a need to wipe it. I just let it dry for a while and I haven't seen any sling or anything.
  6. Thanks everyone. I ended up going over the hood with an alcohol solution and then applying PS to the hood and rest of the car by hand. I'll have to try again with the machine. I didn't think it too much time or effort to do it by hand. Is there a benefit to applying by machine?
  7. Those marks are from sealant. Below is after polish, before sealant. So it doesnā€™t need to be worked it? I should lay it down thick enough that it hazes?
  8. Iā€™m currently applying paint with my SK15 using a 6ā€ grey foam pad from harbor freight. Itā€™s set on speed 1.5. I let it hangout for about 5 minutes while I applied it to the front fenders. You can see polish marks on the hood. Did I work it too thin? How can I remove these marks? Tips for the rest of the car?
  9. That makes sense. It needs to be added to the carfax or something haha. Do you or others add some kind of indicator like a badge or something to the door jamb or somewhere?
  10. How do you determine that it already has a coating? Does it have hydrophobic properties or is there some other indicator?
  11. Is there a benefit to multiple layers of paint sealant? If so, how much life does each layer add and what is the max number of layers?
  12. Does anyone still have these saved? @shane@detailedreflections mentioned giving customers "Do Not Wash" tags and I couldn't find anything on Amazon. Google directed me here.
  13. It was in the 40s for both cars so heat wasn't an issue. I thought I was going overboard a little bit. I just got rinseless so I will be diluting it for clay and waterless wash soon. I figured it was contamination. I tried to get it as clean as possible but it had tar up one side and that's when I noticed it getting darker and darker. I've been trying to get stocked up on towels and pads. I bought some Harbor Freight pads until I can afford more expensive ones. I do have a set of Adam's that I will always start with. Thank you for the advice and compliment. I think this is my favorite picture from the weekend.
  14. I'm going to cover several steps so I think I should just post in General rather than creating a bunch of posts. I detailed my 07 Malibu and my parent's possible new car, an 11 Equinox in the past week. I used a lot of different products between the two and I'm just wondering if I used too much, too little, or the right amount of each. My dad isn't positive that he's going to keep the Equinox so he didn't want me to spend a ton of time polishing it. Pumpkin Spice Detail Spray - I used this to clay mitt both cars and polish the Equinox. I used 7/8 of a bottle on each. This seems like a lot to me. Correcting Polish - I used Correcting Polish and an orange pad on the hood. It was leaving little balls of polish towards the end on my polishing. I think that means it would've been time to change pads? Should a correcting pad last longer than that? Finishing Polish - I used a white pad and went over the whole car with Finishing Polish. It was turning dark towards the end of the process. I'm not sure how long one pad should last before being changed. HGG - Between the 2 cars, I used 3/4+ of a bottle. I think that might be a lot. Since it's only used for every 3-4 washes, that makes a little better. Waterless wash - I touched up the Malibu last night with Waterless wash. I used about 3/4 bottle. I think I might have gone a little overboard with it but about 1/2 bottle seems reasonable, no?
  15. That thing is awesome! I also see a Corvette and a Subie hanging out in the background
  16. Cars & Coffee pending. I'd like a foam gun if anyone wants the other 4 items.
  17. I just ordered a set of polish from Amazon that included Correcting Compound and Finishing Polish. I already had One Step and Heavy Correcting Compound that came with my 15mm SK MB. When I put the bottles next to each other, I noticed a couple differences. First, the bottles are slightly different shapes. Also, the bottles I just got from Amazon donā€™t have the warning under the website. I assume two are an old version and two are a new version. Does anyone know which is which or what other differences (chemical make up, etc) there might be?
  18. I finally got a chance to lay everything out at the new house and see what I have duplicates of. First picture is what I have to trade. Second picture is LE that I already have so I donā€™t really want more of those. Id like another Untamed or Saint Patrickā€™s though. Iā€™d like to trade for other LE items obviously but I could also use Eco APC, APC, PS ON, PS HGG, HGG, CUC, aerosols, etc. Iā€™m pretty open to anything. Bonus points if your in the Indianapolis area and I donā€™t have to ship.
