I always turn mine to the X when I'm not using it as well. Prevents leaks from pressure changes in the atmosphere.

If you are claying then streaking is a non-issue, the paint is going to be polished afterwards anyway, if the detail is done properly.

Wash (and/or Strip), decontaminate (clay), polish, seal, add toppers if desired in that order. Shouldn't really be claying if you aren't going to polish because you're just introducing scratches into the paint.

I don't see how anyone has attacked him on a personal level. We're allowed to question his thinking, It's the best way get answers and broaden your knowledge base. I am interested to see why the streaking is an issue to him.

I use most products at full strength as well. Within Adam's, detail spray is their clay lube. I don't see what the cost/benefit would be for Adam's to make a dedicated clay lube when they already have a proven formula in DS that lets you clay without marring paint. This doesn't even look into diluted Rinseless as an option.

Interested to see the reasoning behind why the streaking is an issue in his case.

For $15 you could get a 16oz bottle of Rinseless Wash and put 2 ounces in a gallon jug and have a gallon of Clay Lube. Its so easy. There is no need for to make a dedicated lube. Sorry I'm just failing to see the upside of a dedicated lube.

For $15 you can get 8 gallons of clay lube.

I guess I'm confused as to why streaking while claying is a problem. The car should have another wash of some kind before any polishing happens and that would get rid of any clay residue and streaking.

Interesting... Just don't see the point in a dedicated clay lube. It's just watered down product that serves no other purpose.

Always look at Amazon for wipers--they usually beat WM.

Also, consider Valeo over Bosch.  They're available at Tirerack.com

There is a sort of cure time, you're supposed to let it get a little hazy.

If you've used it before with no issues then the problem is probably elsewhere. Use a utility towel and glass cleaner to clean the wiper blades. Spray the glass cleaner on the towel and then go back and forth over the wipers rubber.

Wipers chatter for mainly 2 reasons, old/dirty wipers or dry windshield.

Work faster by drying less. Use a pooling method to get the majority of the water off the paint before you start to dry. Some water will begin to dry but the DS will remove the any small spots that were just formed.

Before receiving the detail spray, I figured it was in the black bottle because it was a brown liquid and being in a clear bottle could lead to some sideways glances when spraying brown liquid onto a car.

I would say it definitely is very different from all the other bottles, but mine will go straight in my Adam's limited edition product collection and this will go front and center to help separate it from my "usage collection".

Not necessarily recommend doing it with a machine but I tend to get a more even thin application, which is preferred. Most certainly faster by machine and helps saves your joints. I still do it by hand from time to time but 90% is with machine.

Adam's only offers the Visco Clay. There are clay alternatives but they have mixed reviews. There are other types of clay out there as well.

If they do it's not much. It would be worth it to clay, correct and seal. More than likely it has rail dust and overspray on it.

Take the tailgate off. Flat horizontal panels are much easier to polish IMO.
