My solution to the slow shipping (and I agree that Amazon kind of spoiled all of us) was to over order everything. I swear I have just as much Adam’s stuff as any small retailer would. Now when there is a sale, I can order whatever I want, but still have a boatload of it so I’m not in a hurry. *this post was only the slightest of exaggerations, I do have waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much of everything!

Enlighten Me on Ceramic Coating
Tim replied to TR6speed's question in Exterior Protection & Enhancement
I only use Patriot on my Vette. It is garaged and quite frankly rarely driven. We did have a 2017 Equinox on a two-year lease and I knew it would be outside the whole time because we only have a three car garage. I used the original formula ceramic paint coating and the original trim coating on that. It was my first attempt at coating and it is hard to imagine it being THAT simple, but it is. I did maintain it with ceramic boost every once in a while, but it was really easy to wash and always looked great. i also coated my Model S when I got it 18 months ago (9 months after getting the Equinox) and maintain it with either boost or ceramic paste wax. If I have the time, I go with the wax, I find it relaxing. The biggest headache with the Model S is the water runs off the hood so fast, it will soak my shoes if I don’t stand to the side! I haven’t coated my wife’s Volt because, dang it, I need something to wax more often. (Patriot on that) i did recently use the Ceramic Spray Coating, on my new riding mower. That was only a couple of weeks ago, but it sure does hose off nicely! The spray coating is quick to use, but has a shorter life than the paint coating, so you have trade offs to consider. If you want your regular washes to be easier, coat the Equinox, you won’t be sorry. -

There are products I like, but don’t order because I hate the small sprayers. -
New Tesla Model 3 - What to use for glass?
Tim replied to billchurch's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
I use the glass sealant on my Model S windshield and never have chatter. For the glass roof, I purchased a glass coating (another company since Adam didn’t have one last year) but today, I would use the spray coating on the roof and b pillars to help keep those cameras clean. Oh, and a bit of glass sealant on the backup camera really helps too.- 9 replies

Spray Wax stains towels pink

Chris has it right about intended use, but here is what it can for towels used with hgg: -
Spray Wax stains towels pink

Just soak those towels in hot water with microfiber revitalizer, it pulls all that crap out and restores the towels, just not necessarily the color. -

I used a borderless blue towel (yes, an older towel) to remove spray wax because I’m a rebel. I didn’t see any staining on that one, but that also could be because I’m colorblind. -
You know, there are probably a lot of young ones here that have no idea what your post means. On a somewhat related note, Jamie Farr just joined the cast of the Cleveland Orchestra for the Christmas Concert Series for “The Night Before Christmas”

got ceramic paste in, now what?
Tim replied to enoch7fa's question in Exterior Protection & Enhancement
I used the ceramic wax on my daily driver a little over 2 months age. On Monday when I had the chance, I used ceramic boost. I don’t think I even needed to do it, but what the heck, I had just put a coat of Patriot on my wife’s car (not ceramic coated). I will keep it to ceramic wax or boost because it is coated. -
I just waxed my Vette with Patriot. The billet container is right back in the refrigerator where it lives.

Adam's polish provides amazing paint correction on black Porsche!
Tim replied to IXLR*'s question in Paint Correction & Polishing
First of all, you have an awesome daughter! While paint sealant is fantastic, you may want to consider ceramic coating instead, if you have the time. It is worth it. -
Great job!

Winter Protection on Daily Driver
Tim replied to moons21's question in Exterior Protection & Enhancement
The paint sealant will be the longest lasting and should cover things, however Americana will last longer than buttery. -
I'm still a little sad about quick sealant. I'm down to my last 8 or so cans.
