  1. I'm just east of you in Lake County.
  2. Touchless washes use pretty strong chemicals to clean the car, so yes, it will degrade the sealant, but won't remove it all at once.

    I was shocked!

Hey, this is supposed to be a fa,ily friendly site. Go tell your horror stories elsewhere.
  4. Xpel is fantastic and they do rate based on vehicles. When we had it put in my wife's Camaro the installer said it is one of the most difficult vehicles to work on because of the contours. A month later it had to be taken off and reapplied because it wasn't right. Xpel rates that as 4 of 5 stars in difficulty. When I went to out it on my Volt, it was also rated 4 of 5. I may have considered doing it myself, but if a pro that had done hundreds of installs had troubles with a 4 of 5......
  5. from yet another buckeye. (Up by the lake)
  6. Joe, if your truck isn't a semi with trailer, you are using too much wax. You should get closer to 20 uses from a tub. Next time you wax, do a test section and put on the thinnest coat you can imagine, and then use less for the rest!
  7. The wheel coating is harder than the paint coating, 9H vs 7H, and will offer more protection on the wheels.

  9. I've had rinseless freeze on the outside of the car when too cold, don't try that either.
  10. I wouldn't use it for rinseless. (Actually, I have two and don't really like them). I use MULTIPLE towels so that I never have to put a dirty wash media back into the rinseless bucket.
  11. First, welcome to the forum. That other site doesn't sell Adam's stuff, so they certainly won't support it. Likewise here, this form has rules against promoting other products. There are a lot of people that will have an opinion about something they don't know anything about, and will be more than happy to share it!
  12. Yes, soaking saved the towels. They were getting pretty hydrophobic, but now, while stained, are back to normal. That soak came after a few uses of hgg, I think I'll soak every time now.
  13. The HGG can do a number on towels. When I started using HGG, I was using Double Softs. After a few applications, they were pretty well shot. I soaked them in a bit of MFR and hot water for a few hours and this is what I came back to: Soak away - it pulled all of that out of the towels!

    Need help!

Here is the Minnesota Secretary of State site. It will give you some pointers for starting a business. http://www.sos.state.mn.us/business-liens/business-forms-fees/
  16. Well, I make time every so often to put the bills in my wallet in order by serial number, so.........
  17. Will there be a replenishing kit in the future? New prep solution, applicator, towels and glove?
  18. Hand sanitizer usually does wonders on ink.
  19. Americana is a wipe on/wipe off wax, there is no "curing". Just to make sure, the shampoo you are using isn't the Strip Wash is it? lol. Is the water sheeting off? How does the paint react in rain, do you get beading then? I know I'd be frustrated too!

    Random thought

I live where we get lake effect snow (so, yes, absolutely snow belt) and I haven't purchased windshield washer fluid in years. i just keep a nice coat of glass sealant on the cars. Heck, I barely need to use my wipers.

    Gum on my hood

That sucks. But don't let some jerk dictate what you drive. There wasn't any damage, enjoy your cars.
