Honestly, I have 3 or 4 of them and I've had them in rotation for years and never really thought about any of them losing their effectiveness or being a risk to the paint. I always keep them clean, wash them after every use, and that's about it.

That's one of the best things about this forum.  The straight up honesty.  And from the boss himself.

I used about 8oz of DWC the first time I did my car's wheels, then I'be been using GWC for maintenance/everyday cleanings. My philosophy is that DWC is something to use only as really needed, just like Claying is only done when there's a real need.

Perhaps paint thinner. I would try clay first or perhaps buttery wax or brilliant glaze because they both contain solvents in them. Then you can also try going at it with a polish then compound. Remember to try the least aggressive method first.

Perhaps hit it with some APC and let it dwell for a bit and see if it breaks it down any.  I would then try to clay it.  If that doesn't work, I would attempt to polish it off...least aggressive first and work your way up from there.

    Keep us posted!

I believe that Adams doesn't carry any because they can't find one that's made in the USA.

Sounds smelly and disgusting.  Considering many of use have tinted windows its not useful anyway.

If you want to make it tint safe I'd substitute the Ammonia for white vinegar, and the regular water for distilled, that way you're not mixing up chemicals.

I keep plenty of Adam's Glass cleaner on hand though because the per gallon cost is lower, you use less of it, and it doesn't degrade Rain-X or glass sealants that I use on the exterior of my windows.

Also if the Adam's stuff is too expensive for you you can get an aerosol can of Sprayway (again tint safe) for $2.40 at Home Depot, I keep a can in the house in case the windows are extremely grimy and I don't want to waste and just get a bulk of dirt off first with "the cheap stuff"

Just be careful if you have tinted windows. Ammonia and tint do not play nicely together

sigh...I have to own that tire washing has not been high on my list, primarily because we have a gravel/dirt/weed driveway so they just get coated with junk pulling back into the garage after washing, which is discouraging after all that effort. However, I am also feeling shamed, so I will do better henceforth. Using the leftover wash water is a great trick, thanks.
