If you have a vehicle without leather and you like the smell you can load up one of the foam blocks with leather conditioner and put it under the seat.

If you do not have a photobucket account, or another remote location to store your photos (in which case you would simply place the URL to your image within the [ img ] [ /img ] tags) you can upload up to 10 images per post by following the instructions below:

Click on "More Reply Options" at the bottom of the page to enter "full" reply view:

Under the big text box where you type your reply, you will see the options for Attaching Files. Click on "Choose File" to pick a file from your computer:

Once you choose your file, the file name should appear in place of "No file chosen" - now click on "Attach File" and you will see the file appear above. You can repeat this process for every image you want to attach to the post:

Following this procedure will group all your attachments at the bottom of your post. If you want them to appear within your text, simply click the "Add to Post" link next to each individual upload, and the special code for your attachment will appear in the text box. You can move this string of text anywhere you like within your post:

Bill-V8V got a reaction from Dan@Adams in Paint correction how often?
If using proper washing technique then, as other have already stated, once a year or every other year. Those quick wiped owns with DS here and there and even with the best wash technique you are still touching the paint so there is opportunity to induce some swirls. My last vette went 3 years between polishing once., and it didn't really need it, i just wanted to do it lol

So once you have the paint where you want it just do your normal washing and waxing and you should be good for a long while.

Unless it's black then the job is never finished lol

One word of advice.  These are possibly the best glass towels out there on the market but be sure to wash them before using them.  I didn't, and made one heck of a mess out of my glass.  Once I washed them and used them again they worked amazingly well.  They definitely don't grab and roll like the others did.  They do get a little damp, but that's when the old towels come in handy to just "polish up."   Very good towels.

Bill-V8V reacted to Kingsford in Is Buttery Wax a Cleaner Wax?
Revive Hand Polish is considered a "Pre Wax" Cleaner. Use that and follow up with buttery wax if thats what you are looking for.

Cleaner Wax seems like something that was invented by big box stores, pretty much "combining" two products into one in the name that really just does the same thing as one product. When was the last time you used a "Cleaner" Wax and noticed your paint looked different that just using a straight Wax. Try buttery wax side by side with a "cleaner wax" and you won't notice the difference.

Tip: Use a sealant before the wax for better protection.

Over the holiday weekend I managed to find road construction and tar/oil. my white truck was...covered.
I had just applied H20 G&G the day before. All I could think of was how much this sucks. While the truck and tar was warm from the sun I sprayed it with detail spray and the tar wiped right off! I couldn't believe it! Awesome!  Great protection from a spray on product.

Too much product...maybe? I use the grey edgeless microfiber towel and then finish with a double soft. I only use 1-2 sprays per panel.

Thank you to all of you who serve in emergency services and military roles. It really takes a special person to see and do some of the things required of you, and I know we all greatly appreciate it even though it goes largely unsaid.

I routinely use isopropyl alcohol (about 50 percent with distilled water) after polishing. It doesn't take a soaked towel - just a couple of sprays per panel and a wipe.

You don't have to worry about residue from the ipa. It will evaporate very quickly.

I like to clear the polish just to make sure I'm happy with the results before moving on to sealant.
