TX SS got a reaction from Gremlin85 in What did you do today?
With Adam’s products I washed, clay barred, corrected a few small scratches and sealed my new truck.

Have you looked on Craigslist? I see lots of boxes on there, some realistically priced and some unrealistically priced. I've upgraded my Snap on box 3 times via Craigslist and have always been able to find something clean and lightly used.

TX SS got a reaction from Rich in Anyone with experience with carbon fiber wraps?
I've used 3m 1080 vinyl with pretty good success. I wrapped a tanker desk in brushed steel finish. The film is such that you can peel it back up if you make a mistake but want to avoid this if you can. Depending on how complex the shape and/or sharp edges/angles that is where it will be tricky. Here are pictures of how the desk turned out.

What is this winter you speak of? 64 degrees and mostly sunny here in Houston so took the Bronco for a spin.

TX SS got a reaction from Dan@Adams in What Would You Like to See in an Adam's Polishes Weekly Video Series?
I voted 'cool cars and their stories' but before this I'd like to see a shop/warehouse tour of Adam's HQ. Lots of interesting looking things (signs, bikes, cars, etc.) in the background of your various videos/pictures.

Great pictures Joe. Have you guys considered doing a video or picture office and shop tour? Looks like there are lots of cool things around there (metal barrister cabinet in office, signs/neons on walls.....think I've seen a tanker desk around there, a bike collection and car collection in some older pictures). For those of us who have never been there would be cool to see more of Adam's HQ.

TX SS got a reaction from PT3 in Hearse?
Here are my 2 cents. For a start-up targeting commuter/family cars I don't think I'd go for the hearse. If you were targeting car people like the most of us here then it could be a possibility. But I think the average joe is going to think it is weird and it will hold you back.

Congratulations and nice setup. I would love to have that shop to work in. Post pictures of your work as you go.

TX SS got a reaction from mattpiper in Polishing silver to flawless finish
The metal polish 1 and 2 should work well. I used it to polish my sterling silver belt buckle with excellent results. Here are before, during and after pictures of the back of the buckle (front has too much detail to see any results).

TX SS got a reaction from LFairbanks in My new toy (again) - 1973 Ford Bronco
Time for an update on the Bronco's progress. I sold the slot rims pictured above almost immediately after finishing them. Just didn't like them enough to run them over the stock hubcaps. Then decided to add some of the chrome trim from the sport/ranger models as well as chrome bumpers.
Ford parts are being used where available (and affordable).
On the inside I added sound deadening and carpet, re-foamed and recovered the seats and built a center console so I would have some cup holders!

Great idea. Have you considered expanding this to a new forum section where you post the submissions and answers so others can see the recommendation? This could help folks without asking you directly and you could build a database of Q & A with the pictures. You could title the thread with year/make/model of the vehicle and a one or two word description (i.e., exterior - polish, exterior - wax, interior - leather, interior - carpet, engine - cleaning, wheels - polish, etc., etc.). You could lock the forum section down to not allow replies so that it keeps it clean or open it up and let people have at it like the rest of the forum.

TX SS got a reaction from Momo.75 in Adam's Buttery Wax - NEW FORMULA
Mine has arrived. Washed my truck this morning. Will apply the Buttery this afternoon. Feedback and pictures tomorrow!
Half way update. I waxed the hood, fenders and cab so far. Will finish roof and bed tomorrow morning and then get some full truck shots. Initial impressions are it is good (as expected) and very user friendly. Easy to apply and remove, even if applied unevenly (thick). Wax sets up quickly. I applied to hood first and fenders second and by the time I was done with fenders the hood was ready to wipe clean. Cleans up off plastic/rubber trim with ease. Here are a few pictures.
Final product! Pleased with results, especially considering the minimal amount of effort required to use the new Buttery wax.
