What kind of wheels did you end up getting ?

Ended up going with some custom made wheels, as nothing was available with an offset to maximize the lip, and perfect width to fit under the skinny fender wells!

So, here is the wheel from http://www.SchottWheels.com:

We are going to run 235 50 18's front and rear, so there is a little bit of sidewall, ad the rim is an 18X7, so there will be a slight bulge on the side, more of a hot rod look.

Wow, beautiful Vette Adam! My dream is a 67 vette convertible with the stinger hood and a wild 427 LSx /T56 combo with C5 front and C4 rear suspension, coil-overs yada yada.

Wow, that wheel has sorta the look of the 1960's Halibrand wheels, like on the Ford Cobra.

Whatever tires you put on that thing the LS3 is a Monster even in stock form...The 430+ hp from the LS3 is going to rip the tires loose...I know my 245's on my car don't do much to keep my tires from spinning on my LS2!

By the way AWESOME build...I'm forwarding my dad the link to this thread so he can see...Him and I have been working on a 1970 Olds 442 restoration since I was in high school.

Here are a few recent photos, the new center console, with polished billet drink holders, and a custom fiberglass cover for the NAV, and the A/C vent that will occupy the same place the old clock had.

Also, the headlights will be the same type/ look as the 2009 Corvettes.

Those BFG's hook up GOOD...A guy Local with his 06 GTO putting out 580rwhp said they hook up pretty well on his car and he has like 245's

I like the tires! Mine are 255/45/18 which are a bit wider but pretty much the same height.

Adam it is looking great! I know how you feel trying to get it ready for the first test drive. Man what a feeling! Maybe I missed it in the thread but what red is it? Almost looks like Guardian Red (Porsche) that is on my 32.

I think it's Roman Red, which was one of the factory colors in 62

They are Ford GT replicas. I don't think you could get them in your offset unless it was the same as the mustangs

And the tread pattern looks sweet and these puppies hold good in the dry AND the wet. :rockon:
