I always have a bottle of diluted Rinseless on hand that I soak bugs with before a wash or to hit bird bombs.

What they said for the pre-soak^^
If they are very bad I recommend soaking thin microfiber towels in your wash solution, then place the towels over the bugs to soften them up.  Let them sit 5-10 minutes (maybe do the wheels), and the bugs should come off easily.  I use this method to remove the love bugs we get twice a year, and it the best part is it leaves the LSP in place.
Another tip is to 'freshen' up your protection/LSP on grill area before leaving and it makes them easier to remove later.

I had same issue. Wife uses hand sanitizer and hand lotion constantly.  Steering wheel looked exactly the same.  I was about to give
up..assumed it was stained....and tried LIC and the cockpit brush.  It worked great. Then followed it up with LC. Worked great.  Good luck. Hope its that easy for you.

Could not agree more, Jamey! Emery and Matt both went out of there way to take care of me on a recent visit to the HQ. Hats off to both of you guys...and the entire Adam's team!! Keep up the great work.

You don't want to apply any more cleaning agents.  STOP.  One thing you need to do NOW is to apply the Leather Conditioner.  What  you did basically is remove the residue and dirt from the damage that was done by the alcohol.  Your fabrics are dried out now.  You need to put the moisture back into everything.  If you have streaking when you apply it, that simply means that some areas are dryer than others and absorbing product faster than others. So keep applying (maybe even 4 or 5 times) until you get uniformity.
Let us know how it goes.

I would completely agree with you that Emery is an absolute asset to Adam's. Decent customer service is hard to come by these days and Emery does an excellent job at providing the best customer service I've dealt with across many companies and retailers.

I made a post about the man a few weeks back and once again I think he needs to get credit for doing an excellent job sorting through a few issues for me. This guy is very responsive and easy to correspond with. Emery you may or may not realize it, but you make a huge impact on us customers when you resolve things the way you have for me. The whole team at Adams is great for sure, but I really have been impressed with this young fella. Keep up the great work and you are sure to impact many others and foster repeat business for your company. I believe Adams is lucky to have people like you working for them.

I Love the Odor Neutralizer and it comes in a 16oz bottle. When do you think you are going to offer it I the gallon refill bottles. When you are a owner of 4 or more cars and you want the car to smell like stock it the bomb.

Man once it sets in it’s pretty difficult to get out. I have a ton of waterproof towels now?. I just pretty much try and make sure now that I wash towels in specific loads to avoid cross contamination. People say you can boil them, but I tried it and it never helped mine.

So now any time I’m using H2O I prep a bucket with warm water and MFBR and throw the towels in as soon as I’m done. I wring them out several times to help get most of the H2O out and allow them to soak for a bit before washing.

Honestly man I would. That is way better than traditional wash and wax details we used to do results wise. Trust me, I used to put Buttery Wax on all my clients cars and I did LPS a few times too. I was never really blown away by either of those products. They were decent, but they had draw backs in time and ease to apply vs longevity. H2O strikes a perfect balance there. If I am going to offer a better service for clients now, it is Ceramic Coating. Those  obviously require more time and effort.

Junior reacted to shane@detailedreflections in Adams Team: Qs about Gallons
Per ounce, you’re correct. For those of us who consume product in volume it’s a different story.

If we can’t buy in bulk sizes to keep our inventory costs and number of products down (space isn’t unlimited) I will search for an alternative elsewhere. It has happened before (unfortunately even to Adams as one of our suppliers). We no longer use certain products due to the inability to buy larger quantities. Polishes are the best example. Adams went from 16 ounces at $29.99 to 8 ounces at $19.99. So half the product at two-thirds the price. That was the catalyst to starting a search for new product. We settled on one as can buy in 32 ounce quantities (or even a gallon) at a time. So Adams may make more per ounce with the smaller size, but sometimes they lose the entire sale.

Sizes matter. For most an 8 ounce bottle of polish is fine. It doesn’t fit into our model where we are detailing for dollars. Less frequent orders, less risk of running out of product and better pricing are all benefits of the larger sizes.

I like that list idea Jim!

One other thing I was thinking about that also might foster more product reviews would be like a featured review of the month or  week. Let’s say the winner of that gets a $5 or $10 gift card. And maybe even a place where we can see the most recent reviews in one spot versus at the product level. I have been lazy in submitting reviews lately. This would kick me into gear.

    Travis,

In my experience, the HGG gives pretty decent lasting results. I know LPS claims a year, but I really don’t believe it offers much more longevity than HGG. To me, it’s really a time vs performance thing. The HGG kills the others there. Sure you could spend an extra 30-45 minutes doing LPS or whatever, but if it’s me, I’d rather add glaze as a first step or do two layers of HGG. Both of those are faster. Using the wax or LPS doesn’t net much in the way of extra benefits. And again I am looking at it with time vs benefit/performance being weighed heavily. Others might have a different opinion. I’m basing this on my personal experience.

My kids who have pets keep using my ON and we have found many other uses for it.  A few squirts of ON and the pets are happy that the vehicles don't smell like humans anymore and the following week it is a few more squirts.  We have also used it in the laundry room, storage room, mud room and I put a short squirt in the golf shoe bag after an outing.  If you have tried it yet in a pair of smelly shoes or sneakers, give it a short squirt, you'll be amazed.

The ON and Glass Cleaner seem to be getting more use in and around the house than they are with the vehicles.  At least with the GC, I can order the gallon and I would do the same with ON if it were to become available.

In regards to above, what about just making an order pad type thing that would show off everything you ordered, I know when I order stuff at Staples via our corp account there is a list of the most common items you order that you can simply change quantities and put a checkmark next to it and then when you have what you want marked just click add to cart. Something similar to using the wish list function.

    Kyle,

I think it’s awesome you are looking to get input from customers/forum members. Obviously, Adams cannot please everyone, but you guys definitely seem to connect with customers better than most companies I know. You guys do a lot of things right. Let’s start with that.

    Pros
    Customer focused
Back product line with excellent support
Quality products made in USA when possible
Great team led by a real good guy in Adam

    Cons
Forum support from actual Adams team seems to have diminished in recent years quite drastically

Prices are fairly high. I get that there is support baked in and there’s always a sale and sometimes discontinued things get drastically reduced, but most of the time 15% is all we can get off. It would be awesome to see Adams look at stats and maybe heavily discount slow sellers every now and then. Or so group buys on the Forum or social media.

Speaking of which, Some of the social media seems geared towards people who use terms like lit and fleek and bae. Those folks don’t know how to use proper English. I wouldn’t want them touching my car. At least based on the comments and some of the pair ups with some of the weird clothing brands (I guess that’s what they are) something called untamed I think. Those things tend to be happening a lot along with mystery boxes but some of the things folks ask for on the regular get no play. It’s like the focus is all over the place with things like that and product offerings that are really very strange honestly. I will always buy Adams as long as they continue the stellar product line and support. But the weird one off things don’t really appeal to me much. I like to detail cars. I really don’t care about having a backpack with Adams on it or a detail spray that says untamed. It seems like you guys are trying to do limited edition things like that to appeal to the cool crowd. I doubt most of those folks really know much about car detailing. I start looking at Adams sort of like how I looked at Chemical Guys. That’s not a good thing.

It's time for your voice to be heard louder than ever-- Coming from HQ in Denver, we value each and every one of the members on this forum and look to it for improving not only our product line, but overall path for creating the greatest products for our customers.

With that being said, I'd truly appreciate any input from you guys personally on how we can improve in the customer experience. Furthermore, I'd like to know what you love about our website and can't stand at the same time-- What could be improved with our checkout process? How our dealer locator could be elevated to the next level?

This quest for information can include sites from which you shop frequently and like a particular feature about, or even a product that you (painful to say this) purchase from a competitor because you feel ours is obsolete/not aware enough.

The one enhancement that I would like for the shopping experience is to be able to put Out of Stock items on the Wish List and get alerted when it is back in stock.  Not only would this help the member in knowing they can order it, but it would also let Adam's know how many need to be produced or procured, especially for the specialty items.  The two examples that I'll reference are the Small Detail Cart and MicroFiber Blanket.
