mc2hill reacted to Holder in Which towels & applicators do you use for each product?
The only thing I would add is maybe use the waterless wash towels for drying after the rinseless wash. It only makes sense to use the waffle weave towels for what they were designed for and that's to absorb liquids.

The sealants work best when applied directly to the paint.  They need to 'bond' with the paint vs. waxes that only sit on top of the paint.

The ones from Luxor are the exact ones that used to be sold here. I have one from Adam's and my brother has one from Luxor since at the time Adam's was out of stock. They are identical in every way and also come with the bottle holder. For anyone that wants the bottle holder separately they do sell that part alone. Great cart nonetheless.

I will be in Denver in the first week of May for a few days to attend a friend's wedding, would it be possible for me to drive up to the warehouse and get a inside tour on a Friday?  It would be a shame if I didn't at least come by to see the place and pick up some swag... (not that I can do much shopping, imagine trying to bring bottles of chemicals back on the plane...)

I just wanted to ask, as I don't want to disrupt your everyday operations or anything.

Finished up the 67 Mustang I started before the power went out. Owner said he has never seen the car look so good !! Pretty much what his face looked like when I was done. Used SSR-PCP-PFP, follwed up with B Glaze and a coat of Buttery.

So about a year ago I bought this 47 Servi car that was in pretty good condition but we wanted to switch up the paint and fix some lazy body work.  Stripped it down, did metal work to fix what the bondo had been covering up.  Polished all chrome, new seat, new front rim, and next is motor tuning and getting it to run at its peak.  Heres a pic after paint and being put back together.  I plan to sell this in the near future as I never really intended to keep it myself, just a project.

Good times Bruce!  ( I polished for about 7 hours this weekend too!).

Not take anything away from the new Adam's Clay (I love it!), but you may have had similar thoughts comparing the old Adam's clay vs. the current version.  It was very nice to use, but not as pliable or smooth at the new stuff.
Auto Magic (Clay Magic in the stores) had a patent and you could only buy their clay.  Others could sell it under their name and use their version, but it all came from the same place.  People took to smuggling clay from Canada and Europe, and often it was U.S. made clay that could not be sold here!  I am soooo glad that patent finally expired!!!

The problem is not just in the US! Here in Australia we have lost our own car manufacturing and the place is slowly being purchased by overseas interests! I love my country and try to Buy Australian but the lack of product means that I do have to buy cheaper and definitely not better alternatives.
We all talk about the problem and all understand it but I just can't see people changing because we all struggle to make ends meat! While there is cheap and crappy chinese products then unfortunately, people will buy them.
Oh, I do support adams products here in Aus but.....they are highly priced and there is a lot of other Named products out in the retail market that are half the price. I will spend the money but I am in the minority.
That's my rant and sorry to sound dull!
    Keep up the great products!!

I would suggest adding 2 oz. of APC to the wash bucket.  It will help remove any existing wax or sealant and leave a better surface for the clay and polish.

And I do what Erik suggests with a client.  it's a black Infiniti G35 that lives outside.  I correct it and apply MSS one weekend, then a week or 2 later I wash it again and lay on the BG & Americana.

I use 1 oz. of Car Wash Shampoo to 2 gallons of water in the wash bucket, but don't know that ratio is for a 16 or 36 oz. bottle.  I just take some from the wash bucket to fill up the bottle - http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/6129-always-ready-car-wash-soap/?hl=ready

And get that polisher out and try it! The only way to damage your car with Adam's pads and polishes is to drop the machine on it!  When you attend the GPC clinic ask to try a PC and the new pads and polishes - and the best part - it is on someone else's car!  But you will have an expert to guide you so no worries there.

Jae, car looks great.  Happy to say I am having equal feelings about the sealant after a week as well.  We have had nothing but unending precipitation here in Northern Virginia since about two days after I applied the liquid paint sealant, that being heavy snow, heavy rain, and fine mist as it is this morning.  Snapped a couple pics this morning as best I could with my iPhone to capture beading.

Here was the Truck outside (I had only posted an indoor picture before) a day after having applied the sealant...

Overall, I am very impressed with the looks of LPS... which is really surprising to me because I am so incredibly picky when it comes to sealants.  Great job Adams team on this product!

Again, the only thing I would change is the scent.  Nothing wrong with it - I just hate black licorice personally, but it's not overpowering while you're applying, as it doesn't "linger" like other products and is only overwhelming when you power snort it out of the bottle when you first receive it, causing you to double-over in pain, mimicking a fetal position while clutching your face with both hands and having flashbacks of the first time you ever got drunk back in high school off of a black licorice flavored vodka.  Your mileage may vary.

I will add a second layer this weekend to see if it changes anything.  If not, will be for the pure pleasure of application and the ease of removal.

mc2hill reacted to bruuuuce in Got called an Adam's Saleman today
@Camaro2ssblack the comment is actually a signature in some of the Dodge Forums I participate in, "If you don't use Adam's Polishes I question if you really care about your car".  I am okay with being that guy, until October of last year I was one of them, no way could some guys wax from Colorado be better than the nationally known and sold product, until I met a guy in STL who had a car and the finish was the best and had such a shine and I asked him what he used and it was Adams.... So I made a small order and I am sold, I am slowly using down all my old product and replacing it with Adams.  It is okay if they don't believe and if they don't like me because I rave about Adam's polishes, I am okay with that.  Heck the same guys would call you a girl just because you drive a Camaro.  My comment here wasn't to complain about being called an Adams Saleman it was meant as a compliment to the product.

I actually sold this 2008 Corvette to buy.....

    This

Now the Challenger isn't even in the same class as the Corvette, one is a Sports Car one is a Muscle Car, I have always been a Muscle Car guy who tried a Sports Car and while I loved the Corvette and glad I have owned one.  I missed the Muscle Car, while owning the corvette I was spat at, cussed and flipped off, people are jealous and really dislike that you drive such a car.  I always wondered why Corvette people acted a little better than others and kept to themselves,,,, its because of how they are treated.   While I don't spend a lot of time concerned about what others think of me, fear of someone damaging my property did concern me.  Since buying the Challenger people now flock to the car telling me how cool it is, no more violence and I like a Muscle Car better.

Adam may not say it or say it jokingly to be politically correct for his company, but to develop a product and have the passion and dedication to run a company of this size, he has to have that drive and belief in his product.  So he may not say it, but he thinks it or he wouldn't be driven about car care like he is.  Owning a company consumes you, it is who you are 24/7, so yeah I think he does believe it.

I believe the 4 3/8 inch Flex backing plate still only gets you down to a 5.5" pad (Thanks Ricky Bobby!).  You would have to go to a PC (or other DA) or the Cyclo to use the Adam's 4" pads.
