Ricky Bobby got a reaction from falcaineer in Buttery Wax right after Paint Sealant
^^Clay - bi-annually or quarterly depending on environmental fallout

Since you have a white car just put a coat of sealant on every 6 months and maintain with GG monthly - you'll have a ton of shine and an amazing amount of protection on there.

If you use paste wax apply it whenever you'd like as a topper.  glaze whenever you'd like if you use it.  Both aren't "necessary" on a daily driver especially if already using Paint Sealant + GG on a white car.  you'll already have such a blindingly white car from that combo

Ricky Bobby got a reaction from PT3 in Wash and Wax - Unexpected Benefit
Polymer Sealants, silica products etc used for protection in lieu of the traditional carnauba, natural waxes etc are much slicker and glossier in my use and repel dust and dirt better, and are more hydrophobic -

You want small TIGHT beads on the surface, the big plops of beads you don't want - the tighter the beading the more hydrophobic the surface is - sounds like Wash and Wax is a winner, the name keeps it familiar but it is more of a Wash and Seal type protection

Try a stiff bristle brush to loosen up the hairs as you go over with the shop vac. What vac and attachments are you using?

And yes they are the best- post a pic of yours! Mine is going to be 10 this month and is in amazing shape - and he is a recent cancer survivor - thank God - we had a month of radiation and then 5 chemo treatments but his oncology team is so amazing to save his life.

And yes the sharp white needles my wife is always picking the hairs out of her bra because they stab her lol!

Ricky Bobby reacted to PHOKUS in Done with glass towels
Adam's Glass Cleaner is excellent for maintenance cleanings. The problem lay in the expectation that the use of the word "Cleaner" means it will clean anything. This simply is not the case. GC is nowhere near strong enough to strip wash filthy interior glass. You need something stronger. Be it isopropyl alcohol, dish soap, car wash shampoo, or even a mild degreaser. There are any number of variables to contend with here. Choose a chemical for deep cleaning glass while taking these variables into account.

The real key here is using chemicals *just* powerful enough to do the job. If you're on these forums, you like to take special care of your belongings. This approach of using the correct chemical for the job at hand is what drew me to Adam's in the first place. That said, particular consideration should be given to what you use and how you use it. The current Glass Cleaner is an excellent product when used on slightly dirty glass.

I feel that Glass Cleaner should be renamed Glass Maintainer, and a new product with surfactants introduced called Glass Cleaner. This Glass Cleaner would be able to penetrate under the film covering the glass and lift contaminants away. Or maybe they combine the two?

In the same fashion that we detailers dedicate so much of our precious time to our paint, perhaps it's time we begin looking at glass in a similar fashion. Adam's has approximately 21 products dedicated to perfecting paint, but only 2 products for glass. Considering how important it is to see through glass, I am shocked this market niche isn't broader.

How about it, Adam's? You ready for another challenge?

    I wouldn't trash it. I just wouldn't use it on a vehicle.

I turn all of my ruined/worn out towels into house cleaning towels.

No sense in throwing away something that will still work. Reuse Repurpose Recycle.

No idea. Haven't used the product.

There are dedicated panel wipes that are far more capable of preparing a surface for coating than any soap could be.

Use a plush open nap towel (multiples if doing a GDWM) and then dry with a waffle weave. Should only need a small one like the 16x24 waterless towel to dry.

Single soft is perfect - the double softs you have to use a lot of liquid if using multiples because they soak a lot up. Many of us just use standard 300-400gsm all purpose towels as well. It's all about technique.

I've been doing this for 2+ years now and works perfect.

ITS NOT A COATING IF IT NEEDS TO BE REAPPLIED EVERY 6 MONTHS

Sorry about the caps but it seems like once a week people are duped into these dealer POS (point of sale) mystery sealants that are obscure names with no literature -

You paid for a paint sealant no different (and most likely inferior to) something like Adam's Paint Sealant.

Maintain it how you want but if you clay bar and do an IPA wipe on your car you will be back to a bare surface. That is not a true nano ceramic coating.

And it's not free of charge trust me. You paid for it somehow built into the purchase of your vehicle. A lot of dealerships pull this scam by saying its "totally free" or "included" but it's built in the price.

I use it regularly all through the winter, because the exterior temps don't usually let me get the hose out -

Worst case scenario the coin op is 10 mins down the road, I'll go in the middle of the day and blast it down with the pressure washer since their water is warm -

Then come home and close the garage door and complete the rinseless wash in my garage - you will need a few more towels (usually I use 4-6, up that to about 8-9 in the winter), but you can absolutely do it just as safely, rinseless washing is all about technique -

Its nice to get warm water in the bucket too so you don't have to wear gloves (not hot) - also pick up a 1 gallon garden sprayer from Home Depot, makes pre soaking a breeze with warm water/rinseless solution!

Try the MFR dilution I listed. It will get several applications of VRT out of a block sponge that APC won't get. I've had one block in my shelf a year now and besides being stained it keeps cleaning up just fine.

You have to "squeeze the goo" out with paper towels after cleaning (if you've cleaned tire applicators you know what I mean) but it will come out great

Honestly the APC is pretty weak for cleaning apps and pads. I'd recommend a stronger degreaser like the tire cleaner or my preference, the MFR

MFR diluted 3:1 cleans them much better than APC full strength in my testing

Ricky Bobby got a reaction from jakerodz7 in Timeframe for Keeping Rinseless Bottled
The pre treat is good to store since it has more polymer to keep the solution stable. At 1/2 oz per gallon rinseless dilution it is meant for washing and not long term storage because there isn't enough polymer in it to "keep" as its 98% water.
