Sicoupe reacted to Odds and Ends in Safest way to clean a slightly dirty car?
My two garage queens sometimes have to go outside for a day or two when my shop is full of customer cars, so here's what I do for them.
Foam gun, rinse, pull inside, air dry with compressor (or equivalent) and then dry with detail spray.
If I have any doubts whatsoever about the amount of dirt or if it has rained at all, then out come the buckets and wash mit. If your desert dust is very fine, then I would use Rinseless/Waterless in a pressurized sprayer and use multiple waffle weaves to wipe/dry it off.

Sicoupe reacted to TexasXD1 in What does your detail cart/bucket/bag look like?
Still an Adams newbie but she filled out nicely with clean and polish products with just testing the space. Someday I will be able to afford a full Adams transition...maybe.

Sicoupe reacted to 07stanggt in Horrified and Totally Disheartened - Is Adams Worth It?
You definetly need to remove the first product you applied for swirl removal BEFORE you go onto the next step !! I still use the old green Sever Swirl Remover from Adams for cars that are REALLY bad, then go onto the orange and white correcting polishes to finsh. There is no way those swirls came from just using clean towels etc. Sounds like you take good care of your stuff, had to be something other than good products to make those scratches. Here are a some before and after pics on some black paint I have corrected for customers with a machine. You pay the plane flight, I will pack my bags with my Adams stuff and remove those scratches and detail your car for free !!

Sicoupe got a reaction from Black Bowtie in Awesome customer service
I've made a couple of orders over the last few weeks, and the last order that came it was something different. I called and asked about it and the rep said that they sent the item I got in place of the other item because it was not in stock. But from the time they mailed it until the time I called they had received the original item I ordered. And without any questions asked they said they would mail the item and to keep the one I had, I had the item at my door step in 3 days! Awesome customer service and thanks again for taking care of me. This is why I love Adams products:) customer for life!

Sicoupe reacted to gapwedge in First use of Adam's Finishing Polish and Liquid Paint Sealant
I took on a huge project for me in my wife's GMC 2014 Denali. I am slowly adding to my Adam's products which will eventually replace all of my Zaino products. Today's detail I used my new Griot's Garage orbital machine with 4" Adam's foam pads. After washing with Dawn I checked for oxidation and did not need to clay. So I started with Adam's Finishing Polish. I liked the ease that it went on with my GG machine, but even more impressed with the ease of buffing it off. I used 1 white pad, but used the Adam's brush to clean it periodically. Next I applied the Adam's Liquid Paint Sealant. Coming from a long time Zaino user I was very impressed with the ease of removing with my buffing towel, but I was actually even more surprised with the quick cure time and the resulting wet shine and slickness. I have some Brillant Glaze, but decided not to use it. I did use the Liquid Paint Sealant on the chrome 20" wheels as I am still waiting on my Quick Sealant to arrive.
After today's detailing I was able to compare Zaino's to Adam's and I have to say Adam's has the better product line. I like the idea of correcting defects rather than just concealing them and especially not having to add a quick cure additive to achieve what already comes out of the bottle from Adam's.

I'm reviving this thread to add my pics of the G8 GT wearing it's winter coating of Adam's Quik Sealant x 2.
Outside temp was 33*F so some of the beads were frozen.
Winter is coming.

Sicoupe reacted to Ricky Bobby in Quick Sealant durability
Quick Sealant should be VOC free so you don't have to wear a mask, but use good judgement and don't huff the fumes lol!
-
Sicoupe reacted to mc2hill in Quick Sealant durability
Not required, but spray it on the applicator, then wipe it on the wheels for better coverage.
-
Sicoupe reacted to TheWolf in Quick Sealant durability
I hear that, last weekend I went through an entire can at one time, wheels, trim, all plastics, painted bed cover, tow hooks, hitch receiver...had to open the garage door to let all the fumes out, so I bought a new half-mask painting respirator for next time, figured $21 was worth the cost of saving a few brain cells.

QS is awesome, it just makes me cough a lot. It's so nice for everything I'm too lazy to seal normally or can't get to easily.

Sicoupe reacted to TheWolf in Quick Sealant durability
You won't even see it on your tires. I use the QS on the wheels first and then put Tire Shine on the tires second. That way, the Tire Shine overspray is easy to wipe off the wheel and also won't interfere with the bond of the QS.
I also tried some QS on my black powder-coated bed cover to see if it makes it easier to keep clean.
