Jayco76 reacted to Kingsford in Adams needs better holiday discounts!!
I don't really think this is something you can complain about... They could be like other companies and just not have any sales. 15% off with Free Shipping is pretty good. Anymore these days, Free Shipping alone is a good deal.

Take the leap to machine polishing. You won't be disappointed. There isn't anything to be terrified of. The process is relatively simple and straight forward. Just remember to keep the polisher moving and don't hold it in one spot and to go light on the pressure on edges. It's no that scary once you've done it. Take your time. Prep is everything.
Enjoy the journey. You'll be polishing in no time and you'll be achieving some next level shine that will make people envious.

Great idea. That way there wouldn't be competing scents inside when you're using the Leather Conditioner.

So I took my 2015 GMC Canyon SLT in for its 20k service and a few recall's today.
As my service Advisor was checking in the truck he stated " no need to wash this one. If we did it would worse and have swirls marks "

The Lowrider Seat
When working on the lower rockers of cars, my detailing seat was too tall, so I would use the creeper to sit on instead of sitting on the floor, but it was a little big and awkward to move around.
So I got another Traxion ProGear Seat and modified it so that the seat is bolted directly to the frame, instead of using the adjustable cylinder post. This makes the seat about 5-1/2 inches lower, and I am still able to move it around with my feet.
Removed the post plate on the bottom of the seat, then used it to mark the frame, and drilled out the holes. Then got some longer bolts to go through the frame and into the nuts in the seat bottom.
I also added some bottle holders so I don't have to put them down on the floor, where they get knocked over.
These Tamrac bottle holders have a flap for attaching to a belt.
I cut the stitches in the seam on the cover to a width that would allow the flap to slip inside, then added a stitch on each side of the flap to keep the cover from coming apart.
Loaded up some black Shoe Goo into a small craft syringe.
Injected some into the cover on both sides of the flap, to make sure it stays in place.
Added some more to the back of the bottle holder.
Taped them in place overnight to let the adhesive dry.
The bottle holders are handy, so I ordered some more to put on the other stool.

Jayco76 got a reaction from Ricky Bobby in Car wash?
depends on how dirty your truck gets using the following method I can do my brother in laws full Mega-cab Dodge Ram in 40 to 50 min
Get a gallon of rinseless wash ,Mix up a gallon of pre pre soak ( 18 oz of rinseless wash to one gallon of water ) in a 1.5 gallon sprayer (you can get one at homedepot for less than $15)
Go to your local pay and spray . Lay down a mist of pre-soak on each panel . Let it work for 5 to 10 min . Then high pressure wash the truck. Then preform a complete rinseless wash ( I prefer to use the one wipe them fold method ... Aka the Gary dean method ) I also prefer to use the plush waffle weave towels for drying.
It's not prefect but it will get you by till you have time for a complete 2 bucket wash

Jayco76 got a reaction from cev103 in New Car Prep?
When I picked my my 2015 GMC Canyon I did the following
2 bucket wash with 2oz of APC ( with a foam lance )
Alcohol wiped down
Revive hand polish
Liquid paint sealant
Brilliant glaze
Detail spray wipe down
My typical weekly wash consist of a trip to the pay and spray for a $3 rinse then drive home (approx 3 miles ) and do a complete Rinsless wash.
14 months and 16k miles later the paint still nice and smooth
