  1. No polish in either the new or old/original version. Just curious, where do you get that impression?
  2. The Spray Wax and BG are different type products meant for different purposes. I wouldn't expect the same type of shine. But I would expect it to last a lot longer. Looking forward to seeing your results, though.
  3. Agreed with @rrmccabe, PS should last you at least 6 months. I've used it without issue and love the results.
  4. As they said above, it's not available from Adam's anymore. Here's an article with more info, though.
  5. I've had my finger about get stuck in a bowling ball, but getting your head stuck is on a whole other level.
  6. Don't start filling your wash bucket in the work sink and then switch your focus to rinsing the car.
  7. Started winter prep on my car with SW, Iron Remover, clay mitt and Ceramic Paste Wax (as the LSP). More pictures to follow in the next couple days as it was dark when I finished. I'm anxious to see it in the sunlight! Here are a few pics of the Iron Remover in action. So I had a door ding and red paint transfer. Tried the clay mitt but had a little issue with that, for some reason it left some residue transfer. Never fear. I broke out the Revive for the first time and, well, the results are obvious. RHP is a really underated product.
  8. Welcome, Sean! So you know, @ocdrifter started a Food Thread a while back so feel free to post any of your creations for us to drool over. Can't wait!
  9. The HGG and CB will give you the longest lasting protection of those 3, so it's really up to you. Try one, then in a month or so from now go with the other. Or do them side by side and compare for next time. While I'm partial to HGG, you really can't go wrong.
  10. What a difference already! Keep at it, Joel. Looking forward to updates...
  11. APC will also work. It's a degreaser, as well! And quick tip before you wax/polish next, apply VRT to the trim before you start. It'll make removing any residue super easy.
  12. @RayS brings up a good point...didn't even notice where you lived. I used to live in AL (Maxwell AFB), so remember that weather well. Thanks for keeping me honest, Ray. I should also caveat my inputs were more for the average detailer, not a pro.
  13. They grow up fast 😢. Adorable pup!
  14. Honestly, "acceptable" is in the eye of the beholder (read: owner). Especially for a daily, chasing perfection is near impossible and will drive you insane. Same goes for black cars but that's not different story! So for a daily, I consider 90% good enough. And maybe a bit less before winter since it's just going to get beat up anyway. Your pic is good but it lacks some context. I figure percentage by the overall look on the surface. Are the scratches only seen at certain angles that no one besides you will really even notice? Are they on a really visible part of the car like the hood or driver door, or a more discreet area like the roof or rockers? Answers to those and other questions drive how I approach correction. Personally I'd wait on any further correction until spring. When it comes time, hit them with CP and/or HCC just to see what could happen. In the end, since the average person doesn't get on all fours, twist awkwardly and try to catch just the right light to see scratches like many of us 😁, I'd say you'll be good when the car is shiny!
  15. Not at all! Apply and watch it shine! Just be aware the BG doesn't last all that long. Talking a week, give or take. Bad weather = much less longevity.
  16. Whike I haven't had my LEs for long, their longevity is likely no different than any non-LE products. Here's an article with more info:
  17. Agreed, as it wasn't made to do so. But this is a new formula and can be applied completely dry. I tried it and while it needed a little extra wiping with a towel, it worked well. I was also told it could be applied by machine with a wax/sealant pad on a slow speed. Another difference? This new formula doesn't separate like the older version. For the record, I talked to several Adam's employees about this, including Adam, and all seem to really like this new version. But I'll still miss the grape!
  18. I'm at the HQ and asked direct from the source. This can be used with OR without water. It is slicker and will last longer than the original. Oh, and the new smell is Honey Dew. RIP, grape. 😭
