  1. I still think the video implies no water is needed for the newest version. I'll go back mand watch the video again, but around the 3-minute point Adam seems to say it can be used dry.
  2. Plleeeaaase, Mike....what does the new HGG smell like??
  3. Yes, but he also says at 2:50 it can be applied by simply spraying on and wiping off. No water necessary.
  4. The old style HGG needed to be water-activated (wet car or wet towel). This new formulas can be applied with OR without water. Adam goes into further detail during the video, especially towards the end (about 2:50). I'm really wondering about the smell...hope they didnt change it from the grape!
  5. Another option vs. wax is to apply HGG every 4 washes or so. It works as an awesome compliment to the PS (basically made for it) and will add more protection and shine. My favorite product from Adam's.
  6. Those are some great beads! Happy to help anytime, Steve. After all, you were the one that introduced me to Adam's in the first place!
  7. Watched an SUV lose control on black ice right in front of me, swerve, just miss on-coming traffic, head into a ditch and flip. Jumped out of my car and found both mom and daughter shaken but safely strapped into their seatbelts. The husband/dad was just a couple cars behind so while I can only imagine watching in fear as he likely did, at least he was on scene within seconds to find them unharmed. Got them both out and passed my contact info in case a witness is needed. Goes to show seatbelts can and do work...and a 4WD SUV isn't impervious to ice. FWIW, I immediately turned around and headed home...the errand wasn't worth it and can be done tomorrow.
  8. Exciting!!! Be sure to post some pics when you open it in the Unboxing the Shine forum. No real middle step. Clay, clay residue removal, and PS should be just fine for now, though, and then do your correction in the spring. The video says to have it in good shape because you'll "lock in" the swirls until you correct it, but no harm will come to your car by not having it corrected. I'll link a prep video here, just in case. And here's a link to their detail cart. https://adamspolishes.com/shop/specials/sub-category-1/adam-s-standard-detail-cart.html

  14. Chasing perfection will drive you insane, especially on a daily, but even with a garage queen. Normally I'd say shoot for 90%+/- and call it a day. But with winter upon us, personally I'm good with 75%.
