  1. So you apply water before using WW...and rinse after using RW?! It's awesome you found something that works, but its seems like two too many steps!
  2. Welcome to the next stage of the addiction, Eric! Lots of great info on here, and even better people. Sweet rides, by the way. I tell everyone this from your part of the country (see here for an example)...all I'd ask is that you not post any pics of Lou Malnati's and/or Portillo's. Especially not in Joe's thread. Please!
  3. Welcome to the addiction, Jimmy! And thanks for being an enabler to those of us already stricken with the "disease!" Car looks awesome, by the way.
  4. No, you probably didn't hurt anything, don't worry. And re: Chris' comment, it's true is doesn't necessarily make the shine look better. However, what it will do is ensure you remove all polish oil residue before applying a sealant and/or wax. You don't want any residue showing through or affecting their performance. I've read up on Revive, including suggestions of using it to remove LSPs, but from what I've also seen many others prefer stronger methods. Plenty of other threads on this topic (here and here, being examples), so feel free to read up and decide for yourself if it's worth the time. Coming up with your own detailing methods is what makes this fun. To me, who's honestly not that particular - I haven't been able to wash my daily in weeks - it's well worth the time, effort, and minimal cost. As for going back over your car again, there's probably no need to reclay. However, PS works best when applied to a naked paint surface. That said, I'd recommend you strip wash the car before doing anything more. If you don't have SW, you could used liquid blue Dawn (warning - not everyone likes this, but it does work!) or add a few ounces of APC to your CS, and wash the car. After the strip wash, if you decide not to do any further paint correction, add the PS, then any waxes/glazes. For more on what you could use, to include layering products, read this article. Good luck! Post some pics when you're done.
  5. Now we're talkin'! Nice two-tone color scheme. Looks great.
  6. Thinking this should be posted in/moved to the Product Poll and Feedback thread. Ironically, the only post I could find about the new nozzles there is from January (http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/32146-spray-nozzles/) and the comments were mostly positive. Wonder what changed?
  7. Not a stupid question at all, Sean. Luckily, there's an article for that very reason: http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/2044-how-to-upload-a-picture-to-your-post/. Pretty simple, once you load some pics a few times. Don't be surprised if they upload sideways or even upside down, though. But we are used to it. Well, that or standing on our heads. Unfortunately, I still don't know the reason they load that way, but somewhere on here I think others may have cracked the code.
  8. Good to know, Dustin. Not a product I have in the arsenal, but may have to change that. Thanks!
  9. And yes, the addiction is very, very real. Basics question...any reason you're going with only the Revive?
  10. Easy fix. Trade you the old for the new. Nice lookin' pup!
  11. ^^^ That's pretty cool, Rich. I want one for my car!
  12. Oh, and yes, definitely get the sealant on before you drive. Right now, your car has no protection...
  13. Yep, the grey MF pads will work perfectly for PS application. If you do buy pads for your polisher, get the grey ones. Color coded. Post some pics when you're done!
  14. Fair enough. But you could also put a disclaimer about your videos not being officially endorsed by Adam's, then add the link if people want to find out more about what you're using. Best of both worlds. Either way, though, keep up the Greg, I mean, great, work!
  15. Well done, Greg! Couple friendly tips: - Add the web address to the Adam's site somewhere in the video. We all know it, but others that come upon your videos may not. - Do some close-up videos/screenshots of the end result. Let's see the shine like in your profile pic!
  16. Count me among those without an Instagram account. So he'd better. Or there might be a mutiny on here!
  17. Why yes, it is! And pics to follow once I clean it up. I have access to it the next couple weekends, but lots going on around the house, not to mention needing to get my car done, too. So time is more limited than I'd like.
  18. Thanks, guys. Lots of good inputs and things to consider. So far, that's 7-2 for coating it. Anyone else...penny for your thoughts?
  19. Congrats, Gaylord Focker...I mean, Kevin! All the best in your new career.
