Get the pump.  No need to clean it, just leave it in the gallon, and put a 3/8" vinyl vacuum cap over it to keep it from dripping or drying out.

In this photo, the pump on the Wash & Wax is the current version.

So with this being my 15,000th post, it's one of two things.  I'm either good at being a moderator..............or I got old!!  My money's on the last one.

Repeat customer. I detailed this car in December of 2016 and had the chance to do it again this past weekend. The PA State Inspection Sticker on the windshield shows it's Exempt, meaning it wasn't driven more than 5,000 miles in the past 12 months. It's last State Inspection was November of 2017 and it's only had 1,300 miles on the clock since then. All that said, it's not been out much since I last touched it. It's not out much at all, it only has 102,000 miles on it; average of 6,000 miles/year. There was some body work recently done on it as I had found the bottoms of three of the doors rusting in 2016, with some rust migrating onto the driver's door skin at the bottom. All that's been corrected. When I first hit the car with the hose to rinse it off the water laid flat, there was no protection on the paint at all. I wonder if the Body Shop had stripped the paint.

I was able to pick it up Thursday afternoon I cleaned the engine and engine bay, wheels, inner fenders/wheel wells and tires before dark.

    The car was overly dirty.
    Friday AM:
    Rinse with my pressure washer
Soak with a Foam Cannon and Ultra Shampoo
Two Bucket Wash with Car Shampoo
I needed to use a Wheel Brush and Trim & Lug Brush to clean in around the recesses of the body side moldings.
    Iron Remover
    Visco Clay
    Re-wash with Car Shampoo
Mind blown here. The inside of the gas door, black with thick greasy dirt. It was as bad as I'd expect a diesel to be, not a gas powered car I'd recently done. Clean in there now.

    Friday PM:
I polished using my Rupes 15LT Mark 2 and Rupes Mini.
Adam's 5.5" and 4" Orange Foam Pads were used with Paint Correcting Polish.
The paint was still in good shape and had been taken care of since I last detailed it. I polished the hood, roof, rear deck lid, front and rear bumpers, mirrors, and the top 2/3rds of the front fenders. I did go along the tops of the doors and rear quarter panels above the pin striping, and around the door handles with the Mini. I also ran a 4" Orange Foam Pad across the Headlights and front inner lights to brighten them up some. The rest of the car was left alone.
My Porter Cable 7424XP, equipped with the larger yellow backing plate, was affixed with a 6.5" Grey Foam Pad, and I laid down a nice thin even coat of Paint Sealant.
Tires were dressed with Tire Shine and the wheels received Ceramic Boost.
The windshield was sealed with Glass Sealant, followed up with Glass Boost.
VRT was applied to the front cowl, and to the black plastic pieces under the car in front of the front and rear wheels.
In & Out Spray went on the black areas of the grille and lower front bumper as well as in the recess of the hood up near the cowl.

The inside of the car was saved for Saturday.
7 hours on the inside! How the inside could have gotten this dirty in as few a miles that were put on it is beyond me. After the 7 hours the inside is about as close to as new as a 17 year old vehicle can be.

Total hours spent: 16.25 including pick up and delivery

I think it would be great to post a video showing how crazy the warehouse gets during a Mystery Box / Bucket sale event, and how hard everyone works to fill the orders. That may help curtail some of the constant complaining on the forum !

I thought the same thing, but a few of the products shouldn't be affected.  The revive polish did mix back after shaking it, it is now uniform color and consistence.  and its only $60  bucket, wash mitt, applicators and towels are worth that.

Maybe the hipsters bought up all the bottles to get still shots of them next to their full Untamed bottles and the sneakers they never wear?? ???

Adams makes their own chemicals. With popular demand they’d be wise to bring it back so us weekend warriors can pick some up. Pretty sad when the detail spray is so limited that even most forum members get stiffed.

Guys, I have to say if there's a demand for a product the company would have to be crazy not to produce it...and obviously there was a demand here since the kits and individual bottles all sold out already. I'm not a huge fan of the untamed clothing line but I did purchase the all the Adam's untamed bottles and a sticker (would have got the kit but sold out before I hit the complete order button). I am an adams fan so I purchase the limited products just to have them on my shelf. As far as the ON gallons...maybe there's not a big enough demand? While I'm sure there will be sales, I can almost guarantee they won't sell out in 1 minute like the untamed did.... I personally love the anticipation of a limited release and the feeling of getting something special that isn't normally available. They're normal products are still there, great as ever, this is just something fun and changes things up a bit and breaks up monotony!  I'm all for it and can't wait to get my untamed goodies! I wonder what the untamed scent smells like?

It’s more of a limited clothing boutique. Usually associated with “skating” crowd. Could say mostly us younger folks like it. They release in very limited quantities and stuff usually sells out within minutes.

mexiking2365 reacted to Gevster in VRT vs. Tire Shine
I've looked into both considerably but I really still am not 100% sure which one I'm interested in getting. My goal is to have a dark, black, deep matte finish on my tire as though it was brand new, not shiny! The VRT seems to deliver the matte black look I'm chasing but many have said it doesn't last as long as the Tire Shine. The only thing about the tire shine however is that even when applied to create a "matte" finish it still comes out pretty shiny based on pictures and videos I've seen; I personally am against shine on my tires, I think it makes it looks unnatural.

Where I am currently, it's been raining a fair amount, 3-4 days a week and getting to temperatures as low as 25-30 degrees Fahrenheit at nights. In these conditions will the VRT wear off too easily? I have no problem applying the VRT monthly but weekly would be kind of insane. Would appreciate any knowledge and advice, thank you!

Also I'm new so, nice to meet you everyone!

mexiking2365 reacted to Rich in bucket dolly
The dollies are a back saver.  Especially when I'm sitting down on my rolling chair doing the wheels and tires.  Just makes it a lot easier to just push the bucket(s) on wheels than trying to pick it up to move from tire to tire.

An 8oz detailing emergency travel kit would be awesome. I'd be in for 2 of them, One for each vehicle.

Thoughts for contents could be 8oz DS, WW, interior detailer, odor neutralizer with 2 each of the waffle weave and utility towels.
