  1. It not only does a good job on water spots, it will also take care of bird dropping marks in most cases.
  2. Anyone notice how similar in color Tire Shine and Ceramic Boost 2.0 are? I didn't either, but I can tell you it takes multiple rounds of Tire & Rubber cleaner to get CB 2.0 off the tire once applied. Weren't we all taught to Read the Label before we use something - It seems that with age, I forgot that lesson.
  3. Thanks @falcaineer, I was debating on ordering some, but after reading your review, I will add some to my Monday order.
  4. Hi Bob, You will probably get as many different responses as there are possibilities for combinations. My personal preference is BG before LPS since it hides minor imperfections. I have not had any issues with longevity from following this routine. As for the HGG, the question is how often are you washing? I tend to do my vehicles everything other week and sometimes they are two bucket washes and other times it is a waterless wash in the garage. On the HGG vehicles, I go two months between HGG applications and this is with the old formula. The Garage queen has gone 4 months between applications and it really didn’t need it then. I have not received or used the spray wax yet, but love hitting the vehicles with BG if we are going out to give it some extra pop.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

    Congratulations on your new addition.
  6. As @pirahnah3 said, just use painters tape. The only problem I have had with painters tape is that it will not stick a surface that was just cleaned with APC.
  7. My curiosity is whether or not it will give that extra pop that you get with Brilliant Glaze when applied on top of the wax, HGG or CB. If it does and is easier to apply and lasts longer, that would be a real winner in my book. The only way to find out is to wait for my bottle to arrive and give it a try.
  8. I have done vehicles with the original HGG and another with CB 1.0 and now one with CB 2.0. Between HGG and CB 1.0, the HGG was easier to work with. The longevity was pretty much the same and both vehicles looked great. CB 2.0 closed the gap with HGG for ease of use and now I need to try the new HGG to see if there are any substantial differences with it. In my opinion, if you received one or the other in a mystery box, use it, you can’t got wrong. Just follow the directions and you will have good protection for a reasonable amount of time.
  9. My first black vehicle - I cannot believe the work that so many of you do on black vehicles. This was a Body only effort on a 13 year old vehicle with 185,000 miles on it. While it was not terrible, it was not very good - I'd like to show you the before picture, but I accidentally deleted it. In case you are wondering, the 3/4 ton Suburban is a beast of a vehicle.
  10. The Leather Conditioner makes them shine, but they are not slippery, which is a good thing.
  11. I was able to make my 85 year old father-in-law happy by detailing the closest thing he'll ever have to a vette. It was a fun project and he enjoyed cruising the neighborhood yesterday evening showing off his polished ride. The leather conditioner did wonders for the seats.
  12. Update: The paint shop called and has an opening, so the Mustang goes in on Monday. We should have it back by the end of the week since there is no body work needed. This is about a month behind were we planned to have it done, but no worries there. The big question will be whether or not to use ceramic coating once the paint has cured.
  13. I am in agreement with @shane@detailedreflections and @falcaineer with one adjustment. Shane has a Q&A section that has some good feedback on heat and humidity. Chris commented about the winter and vehicles getting beat up, so wait until spring, which I agree with for northerners. Being that you are in Alabama, you get the same weather I do in South Carolina, so I actually suggest doing the vehicle in the November or February range. Yesterday, I did an Equinox and it was a perfect 71 degrees out and the humidity was around 50%. You can’t ask for a better day to spend outside, although I would have preferred being on a golf course... i have done my fair share between May and September and those 95 degree days with 80% or more humidity are not only painful, they make many of the products more difficult to work with.
  14. Anything that involves a flame inside a garage should be considered a risk. Given that you have not insulated the garage, I will presume that you have not finished the walls yet. In this case you can get a wall unit that has an external heat box, also known as a direct vent unit. Many of the units can also act as a fan during the summer to circulate the air. If if you are looking for something small and portable, the oil filled electric ones are pretty good. Any heater is going to be expensive to operate until you insulate the garage, including the door. If you want optimal climate control with the lowest cost to operate, then go with geothermal, but understand the initial investment will require years of operation to get the return on investment.
  15. @falcaineer thank you for stopping to help the family in the SUV. While my day wasn’t as dramatic, it was a good day on the golf course in a charity tournament for a animal rescue center.
  16. My oldest daughter has been asking about these and I kept telling her they were gone - she will most certainly be happy with this Christmas present.
  17. @shane@detailedreflections Congratulations to your daughter for receiving the scholarship for Elmira College. I was born and raised about 10 miles west of Elmira in Corning, NY. I wish her the best in her educational pursuit. I'm thankful that we have all our systems online and mostly stable after a 2 year effort and ~32 million in cost. Now, the real sweating starts, with ensuring we have a return on investment... I am also thankful that my son-in-law will be returning before Thanksgiving from his 4th deployment in 5 years, my oldest this very happy we'll have all her school loans paid off by the end of the year. I'm thankful for the success my youngest daughter is having at the restaurant since she is now the operating director, we have a few more years of loans for her since she did 6 years of school. I'm thankful that the wife's accounting business is doing well. I'm also thankful that the 2015 Bordeaux's that I picked out turned out to be an exceptional year and a worthwhile investment. Finally, I'm thankful for my family and friends including the multiple new friends met through this forum.
