  1. Ok, Thanks for all the tips and tricks. So as another follow up. I did use Wheel and Tire cleaner full strength for the first cleaning. Then I dried the tire and used the Adams Tar Remover which seemed to clean off some of the shiny clear coat looking stuff that was making the dressing very un even. Then after that cleaning I rinsed the tires down and then used my usual 50/50 cut Wheel and tire cleaner on them. I have a Adams Pump sprayer that really foams up nicely when you cut it 50/50. This cleaning was clear, no brown , no dirt no nothing came off the tires at this point as the rubber was a clean as I could get it. I also use a Adams Tire brush for scrubbing. They now can hold a very thin layer of VRT and they look like a flat black, not really satin like VRT usually does but if I put another layer on top, the tires do reject it. It just makes a smeary mess and I have to wipe it off. I know it sounds crazy, I have been dressing tires for over 35 years and the DWS06 are the only tires I have ever seen react to tire dressing like this. Our other set is 2 years old, have been cleaned each week of those 2 years and they react the same exact way, actually worse. I got the new ones to at least hold a light coat of dressing and I can live with that. I wish you guys could fool with them yourselves so you can see how mental it feels to work with this strange compound tire. I would have returned them IF they where not as good as they are. They grip so much better then the Stock Good Year Tires and I really liked them better then the Pilot Sports we had on the S4. I might go back to Michelin next tire time around. My Wife's Charger has Michelin's on them and they clean up and dress perfectly with VRT. On a side not I do have 3 other dressings from other companies and none of them work correctly either. Here is the latest pic of where I got them.
  2. I did everything , I cleaned them full strength, then rinse well. Then cleaned them with Tar Remover, rinsed again, then cleaned them once again 1/2 strength as the wheel and tire cleaner foams up when you cut it, there was absolutely no brown of any kind, just clean water and soap clear and white suds. Used the Leaf blower to dry them down and let them sit outside for about an hour before I took it into the garage for it's first dressing. Didn't even bother with Tire armor my trigger is seized up and I couldn't get it to work so I just went VRT. Well it looked like it was gonna go on nice and even but it dried up, left a flat back finish with some streaks here and there. The way these tires react to dressing is like it rejects it. I don't know if I should write to Adam's and see if they have a solution to these tires. They are the only ones in all my years of detailing and owning tires have I ever seen tires made out of rubber react like this. I will snap some pic's so you guys can see. Maybe someone in here will have a actual solution to these tires, not a general solution as these are some strange tires.
  3. Looks awesome man. I really like Tire Armor and didn't have any issues with it in the past with all the other tires I have used it on. I have not however tried the Tar Remover or a heat gun technic but I plan on doing that tomorrow. Its hot out today and I don't feel like sweating all over the place. The tires right now are clean but the dressing I applied is completely gone. No rain no nothing . I had to wipe them down as it was a spotty mess. Thanks for the tips man.
  4. They are brand new. Thanks for the tip man. I have a brand new can of Adams Tar remover. Just got it a few days ago and haven't even used it. Should I give that a run and then re clean the tires?
  5. I own Purple Power. I have been using it for decades. It's a great all purpose cleaner and you can cut it differently for different jobs. I don't think it's an issue to talk about other products, hell we are all here because we love Detailing and Adam's products. But I'm sure not everyone ONLY uses Adams stuff. You use what works best and Adams stuff checks those boxes in almost all areas. But here and there , other products will work as good or better for the same or less money. The Wheel and tire cleaner from Adam's seems to be the best rubber cleaner, even better then Rubber and Tire clean IMO. It's the only cleaner Adam's makes that actually broke down Tire Armor . Tire Armor once applied does not like to come off, unless your trying to use it on DWS06 tires. I'm surprised no one contacted Continental about this issue and they worked on a solution. I can't find one if they have. I also contacted them and I'm waiting on a response. I will try tomorrow to clean the tires again full strength. I used Wheel and tire clean 50/50 cut and maybe if I go full strength it will give the sidewalls enough bite so I can dress them with VRT. I like the Satin finish.
  6. Hello everyone, I'm having the same issue I had with the older Continental DWS06 tires that are on our Audi S4 with our 2020 Dodge Charger I just put a brand new set of the new version of this tire on it in the DWS06 Plus. So just form some back ground, I had a 2017 Durango with bridgestone tires on it and those tires where awesome to dress. At one point I stripped them down and used Tire Armor and that lasted about 7 to 8 months. I stripped it off as I wanted a different look with Wheel and tire cleaner 50/50 cut. Our other car is a Dodge Charger but that has Michelins on it and they also clean right up and dress beautifully. This is a huge issue as after a deep cleaning of the DWS06 tires or the brand new set in the DWS06 Plus, I dressed them with VRT and it went on with Adam's Polishes Foam Tire sponge which is awesome I have a few of them and I have one for each different tire dressing I have including the Tire Armor. Since you are a detailing company , I'm wondering if you ran into these tires and found the same issue. I have Rubber and Tire clean as well as Wheel and Tire cleaner. I have used both products and I can get the tires perfectly clean , no brown at all and still after a blow dry , they will not hold tire dressing. It's gotta be something they are doing with some kind of coating from the factory. Never in my 30 plus years detailing have I ran into any tire that won't hold dressing after a deep cleaning.Only these tires I have found have this issue. So have you guys ran into this issue? I gotta assume you have ran into these tires, they are excellent tires All season for high performance cars. They are my favorite perfoming tire but I can't ge them show car ready. Thanks up front for any input you may have.
  7. I think manufactures rushed this Graphene Stuff out to quickly. We didn't need it as Ceramic is still hot and works well. I have tried another manufactures Graphene and had the same exact issues. It's highly smeary and I hate it. I have Detail spray, it's a breeze to use and it's best used for me as a clean up after a wash to get any water marks off that dripped out of any cracks after the car sits in the garage. Also I have CS3 which is my go to spray. Honesty this is my very favorite go to and I use it as a topper, drying aid, clean up spray, waterless wash etc. It's an amazing product. I was gonna go full Graphene with Adam's with a Spray coating and the Detail spray. I'm very hesitant to do so as I keep hearing people having issues with Graphene not just Adam's still but other brands as well. I'm wondering if I should just wait a year , run through what I got which is a lot, I buy gallons of stuff and then re visit this when everyone has had some time to perfect the formulas? Sorry man your having issues with it, Maybe Adam's can give you credit on another bottle maybe you got a bad batch or return it for some more CS3 which works perfectly.
  8. Hello everyone, I have been using CS3 since it came out. I have used it in all the ways you can. However I would like to know exactly what is expected out of it's protection abilities? I use it as a drying aid, it's incredible at this job. I stopped using Detail spray as I would much prefer to have a little protection added instead of just a great shine like Detail spray. I use it as a topper on top of a Ceramic Spray coating. But this is where I question it's durability, what should I expect it to last? I remember being told 1 month or a few weeks. I just wanna make sure I'm using it properly and not expecting more out of it than it offers. I use it as a waterless wash. If My car is just dusty, I will use the CS3 as my waterless wash instead of Waterless wash. I love how it works , smells and feels. I feel safe using it. So I'd like to learn more about CS3 or if when I run out of CS3 if it would be wise to move into the Graphene Detail spray. Would that product offer more protection over CS3? As I use Cs3 , would Graphene Detail spray be a direct replacement product or should you divide your need duties between CS3 and Graphene Detail Spray? Thanks up front
  9. I'm wondering if everyone rushed out Graphene coating stuff as other brands are also having issues.
  10. Thank you so much for the replies. @RayS - How long and how good is the protection from CS3? I have a gallon of it and use it from time to time as a detail spray , drying agent etc. I know it has some protection but how much? As a topper what can I expect it to help with? I like the idea of a Paste or Liquid wax on top. I think something is going on as I never ever had water spotting issues. Sure bird droppings and pollen but this is the first time I have seen water spots. It's driving me insane. I want to go buy a car cover and put that over my car to help protect it but I have been told they do damage as well. I need a Adam's Polish air bubble to put my car in while it's parked at work, I'm a neat freak and it's killing me seeing my car everyday just get trashed just because it has to sit in my works parking lot.
  11. I disagree, Acid rain will leave nasty rain marks. But you are also right about the dirt on the surface and then when it rains it leaves water Spots. So with the above things going on , what would you suggest to put on the paint to protect from this? Let me explain one more time. I have a Pitch Black car. I have to park it at work which has a ton of trees around it. It's pollen season and after just a few hours , all the cars in the parking lot are covered in Pollen. It's like a green coating all over everything. Then it rains and when the sun comes out it dries up the rain and pollen and leaves water marks everywhere. I'm so pissed at this I want to go buy a car cover and put it over the car while it sits in the parking lot. I have a ceramic spray coating and I maintain it weekly with CS3. As explained it was so bad I had to polish off the top surfaces to get the water marks off, Paint Prep after Polish and then re coat. Today I washed the car again and guess what? There are some new Water Spots and I just cleaned them up last week. What I can use to protect the paint? Will Paint sealant of Carnauba wax be a better solution than the Ceramic Spray coatings?
  12. Hello, Since I started using Ceramics, I noticed that Water Spots after a rain are significant. So much that I think the heavy beading of the Ceramics cause water to pool than leave deposits. I use to use Paint sealant with a Carnauba topper and I never got water Spots. I also heard the new Graphene products are supposed to address these issues. I love CS3 as my topper but not at the expense of water spots. I had to do a Polish Correction to get rid of the Water Spots and than I topped with a Wax instead of going back to Ceramic Spray. Do you think it's wise to go back to a Paint Sealant and wax vs sticking with Ceramics? I didn't try the Graphene and now I don't think I want to IF it's also going to bead water like crazy and then leave water Spots afterwards. FYI I have a garage and do a proper maintenance 2 bucket wash. I use Car Shampoo and a foam cannon with Mega Foam or I may use the Car Shampoo as it also works well in the foam cannon. My Issue is my Works parking lot. It has tress surrounding it and it rains a lot in the spring time here in PA. My car is black and will sit in that parking lot a few days at a time as I have a work van I take home many nights due to needing to leave from home to get to the next job on time. So I need to address top protection and protection from water Spots or acid Rain. Any suggestions?
  13. Wash and Wax works great, I think it's should be used on every Maintenance wash. I've been trying to run through our Car Shampoo which is also fantastic.
  14. Killer I'm glad this even wasn't cancelled like every other damn thing. very nice to see that you guys will be there. Hope you bring a ton of stuff, I need to get a few things. My Son and I should be there.
  15. Totally agree with everything said above. I have not tried a actual coating yet but I have been very happy with the spray coatings. I don't think you need perfect paint to protect it. Especially with a Spray coating it's not going to last years anyway. Usually a few months depending on weather conditions you drive it. I never saw a year out of any spray coating but I could care less, I like to after each wash spray something on it. Usually Detail spray and once a month CS3 but now that the Graphene coatings and detail sprays are out, I'm gonna switch over to all of them. Awesome care man !
  16. I saw the videos and think this is a very nice product. I still have about 1/4 gallon left and a full filled bottle of Detail spray now which I absolutely love using for touch ups after a wash. I have a black car and water spots suck . I use a blower and get all the cracks but water always finds it's way out about an hour after a wash while it's sitting in the garage. So I use Detail spray and a 500 count microfiber super soft towel to do some light touch ups. I also use Detail spray as a drying agent and as a topper for a night out to get that incredible shine. I'm spray ceramic coated and want to go full graphene so this product looks to be pretty awesome. Who is already using it?
  17. How I use it as a waterless wash is with 2 towels. I first spray a panel with cs3 a god amount. Then I use my cleaning towel which is usually a 350 count super soft newish towel. Once I remove the dirt and grime, I use a 500 count towel to polish the panel to a high gloss with no streaks. Each Panel I get a new side of the towel and new side of the polishing towel. No scratches no swirls if you do it right plus the big benefit of using CS3 is the protection left behind. Now that all the Graphene stuff is out, Im waiting on a replacement for CS3. I'm absolutely getting the Detail spray to replace standard detail spray. I like the idea of having some protection when I dry or light clean.
  18. Shakers are badass , love it dude.
  19. I prefer CS3. I find it to last about a month or so and it goes on Oh so nice! It looks thin in the bottle but it feels thick when applied. I think CS3 is the best all around product Adam's makes. It has so many uses and it can replace your Spray wax, Detail spray and Waterless wash.Hell if you want to push it it can replace your toppers. Every time I get away from CS3 and try other stuff as well as the other stuff may work, CS3 I find superior. I have not tried the Graphene Detail spray yet but Plan on trying out all the Graphene products.
  20. Here is my Ride, 2020 Dodge Charger Scat Pack Plus.
  21. I'm pretty locked in on CS3 right now, I love the living hell out of that product. I would absolutely love to try out the Graphene stuff. Cs3 doesn't leave anything on anything , it's very clean product to use. I basically coat the entire car with it except the tires. It's great on plastic.
  22. Words to live by right there. I never ever wash in direct sunlight. I also have a Black car. I always use a drying aid , usually just detail spray. I don't use CS3 in that manner I use it as a topper on my Ceramic coating. I use a Leaf Blower to get the water out of the cracks and off the wheels and tires. Then I use a Drying towel.
  23. Sorry to say but I keep hearing negative comments about the new products. As good as the last round of products where before Graphene I'm a bit surprised. CS3 is probably one of my all time favorite products. Such a good quality product. What's going on here?
  24. Quick side shot , VRP and Detail spray, about 3 weeks ago CS3 was applied to the car and wheels.
