    Hi Tony,

I just followed up to your email, and I have an order placed as I type this, to cover the damaged gallon and sprayer as well.

Again we're terribly sorry for the frustrations. Let us know if you have any other questions.

That sounds crazy Tony!  Not how we roll, typically....but...it sounds like we gave you some poor customer service.  I apologize, and we typically offer a higher level of customer care.  I've sent you an email.  We can certainly make this right.  Looks like your Flex backing plate disintegrated.  In fact, we haven't carried that tool in years, and we don't carry backing plates.  As for the leaky gallon of TID, and broken cap on the Ceramic Boost, certainly, we can make that right.  However, the gallon is likely expired, judging by the label.  I believe it's a 2012-2013 blend date?   If it works for you, order this Flex backing plate from Amazon, and we will get you a $100 store credit to shop as you wish!

Sending you an email now....thanks Tony,

I had a heated discussion with a close friend and fellow detailer today about me switching product lines. Not even sure if the conversation did any good but here are my inputs on the so many different brands of detailing products and the companies that sell them. My friend first off seems to think for example that there is a separate little factory for each brand of tire gel or tire shine out there that the different  companies make. I am sure if that was the case we would not have a employment office in this country of ours. However I am sure that companies like Adams spend countless hours coming up with different formulations to make their product unique. It may be a different color, scent, texture the list can go on and on.  To my knowledge and I might not be 100% correct on this but I only knew of one company that made most of their products and they didn't do private labeling.
In my years doing this I have tried almost every chemical out there. What I have learned is a lot of them are pretty similar , yes some might be the exact same product as another brand just diluted more or labeled different and what I mean by this is that its for a different job. One company in particular that comes to mind I  see 15 different soaps , leather cleaner is so similar to all purpose cleaner that I sure wouldn't bet that they are different..lol
So like explained to my friend. What do I look for in a company when ordering my supplies. First I would most preferably like it to be a one stop shop. My job becomes so much easier when I can go to one place to buy everything. Customer Service is probably top on the list, Product Development, I don't treat my customers like numbers and I also don't want to be treated like a number.  I know its a business but I like it to be personal. They say it can ruin a business but I have had good luck with it. So if it fails I will have a lot of friends and a few enemies..lol
So to my point on why I chose Adams! I had been searching the internet for 16 ounce bottles for my business. I like using the smaller size for some reason.  I came across Adams from a referral from the wifes uncle. My first order was a 40.00 order. When that order came 2 of the bottles was broke at the threads. I called Adams and they just didn't replace them they asked what kind of chemical I was putting in them. They sent me their chemicals in the bottles which meant a lot to me. Dan at Adams knows what kind of vehicles I have, what part of West Virginia I live in. What is so special about that is I didn't tell him. HE ASKED!  They don't treat people like numbers.
Does Adams have everything I need to run my business? No, but the direction I see them going I am sure little by little they will fill all my needs and until then the other products I use will be in their bottles. The other company I used to deal with treated me like a number and lost 10 grand a year of business. Adams treated me like a person and gained it.
I sure hope they stay this way!

pauluptime reacted to 07stanggt in SEMA 2018 Detail
I wanted to show you and tell you a quick story about this detail I did for a friend of mine that's in the SEMA show out in Vegas this week. A good friend of mine had a lifelong dream to purchase his dream car, and so the story begins. My friend Chuck has been looking for the ultimate 1978 Trans Am, and after many years of looking, has found it, and had it built by the Wormak brothers in Florida. The story of this build was shown on the Discovery Channel called "Trans Am", the story of two brothers out to bring back the modern muscle car. It can be seen on the Discovery Channel last month, don't know if anyone had a chance to see it but it has aired many times and can be recalled on that channel pretty easily. The build on the car and the time it took to get it to this level is amazing, over two years. The car is straight as an arrow, has all the modern amenities of a 2018 car, but the nostalgia of the 70's ! How could you not love a black T Top Trans Am ! Long story short, car gets built, shipped up here, and needless to say the car is over the top beautiful, BUT, not all is perfect. Chuck is very picky and was thrilled with the build but the paint needed a little love, here's where me and Adams come in. Not exactly sure what products were used previously but I can tell you it wasn't Adams ! The car didn't have the desired "POP" in the paint Chuck was looking for and some minor touch ups were needed to make this car everything Chuck was looking for. So after some careful time on the car with the machine and a boot load of Adams products at my disposal, the end results are amazing. Chuck is over the top happy now with the results, drives the car when its nice out, and gets the call from the Discovery Channel that they want it to go to Las Vegas for the SEMA Show, and then "IT" happened ! Chuck brings the car down to a dyno shop up here to have it fine tuned, and yes they were told to not leave or drive the car in the rain, and Yes they did both, and to make it worse, they wiped it down to get the rain off with some type of nasty towels and scratched the entire car ! He was beside himself, called me, and brought it back to have it perfected again. I ended up perfecting it again and off on the trailer it went to Vegas. There is a lot more to this story than I can write for you and will respect all parties involved in this build, but the end result is perfection in his life long dream car. Not in the story, is Chucks recent diagnosis with ALS. He is also a retired veteran and one of the greatest guys you will meet. Enjoy the pics and if your in Vegas at the SEMA show ( no I'm not there) check out the car in the booth and just know it was all ADAMS PRODUCTS that made this baby shine !!

Jennie and I will be there Thursday through Sunday.  Look forward to reuniting with all our happy Adam's friends (now that the grumpy ones are GONE!  LOL)

MAJOR BUMMER Adam's won't be able to staff and supply the carwash area again this year.  It was another example of the true quality in Adams products and people, and it will be missed.  Now that we know this wasn't an Adam's decision but rather one made by Carlisle Events, I'm sure many will comment about this to management (we certainly will, directly.)   I mean WTF?!?  Just goes against the essential spirit of any Corvette event, especially this one: care, camaraderie, fun and always improving!

Regardless, we always have our Adam's travel kit stowed and frankly there's too many friends to catch up and enjoy time with to spend fussing over a silly car.  It's always the people we return for!  Last year we couldn't even bring our Corvette, so traveled instead with our stinky, runnin' rich ol' '75 Orange/White two-tone Silverado so we could do a substantial parts run for the 'Vette.  Now our '65 is back together but sadly last Feb we had a fairly big wreck in the Ol 'Rado so now it's getting totally ground-up restored. Going to be a 100% perfect resto and looking forward to seeing it complete.

So see y'all at the show, and at the party!  Can't wait!
After the party, this time we need to do the bike hill-climb races going UP!  (ooh I'll likely lose but go down pukin' if I must!)

Adam's annual Customer Appreciation Party is set!
    5:00pm-whenever Friday August 24th

Look for the 20X40" tent set up, just outside the Fairgrounds, in John's front yard on Bryn Mawr Rd, right down from Gate 3. We have limited space, so get there early if you want a seat! There'll be 10 tables under the tent with seating for 80. I've also ordered an additional 20 chairs to minimize folks having to sit on the ground.

DJ Matt will be there again this year spinning the tunes, with Pizza and Subs from Marcelo's Ristorante, and we should have plenty of cold beverages.

    All are welcome!

Liked to introduce myself. My vehicular abuse has made the detailing learning curve steep.

I have a 18 ford raptor in black that goes from shiny to covered in mud to shiny again a couple times a month.

2 asphalt Toyota Frs' with apprently the ****tiest paint to ever grace a production vehicle. One is a daily and ones a track car.

Between the 3 vehicles and a lifetime of being a car enthusiast I've tried just about every detail product widely available. 90% of the products I use these days are adams.

I'll make seperate posts as product reviews but so far I'm extremely impressed with how much crap I drag my raptor through and it washes off easily.

I heard he evaporated in a crazy car crash......  Racing through the Swiss Alps in a LaFerrari, and launched off a cliff, doing well over 200 mph.  He was racing a Bugatti Veyron, and winning, when he swerved to avoid a mud puddle, he didn't want to dirty the freshly detailed supercar.....the beautiful car took flight, and exploded into smithereens.....big insurance claim!

Hahahahaha!  Well, hello friends!  Seems as our little business grows, the days are long, the travel frequent, and the downtime is fleeting.  As our little family grows, my 'off time,' when I used to hang on the Forum, is now filled with soccer or basketball, homework, etc. ( The Forum is where I went to chill out, not so much to work.)   Crazy to think, when we started Adam's Forums in 2008, we had 0 kids, 3 employees, and plenty of free time!

Now, a decade later, were are blessed with 41 employees, 3 kids, and a pretty dang busy business. We now attend over 40 shows each year, and I see many of you around the country!

It is fun, but they can be a pest. A momma coon had a litter last week under my stairs where I also store my snow blower and mower.  We tried to give her some peace, but now she's moved on with the brood, so I cleaned it all out today.  Hopefully she'll return the favor and respect my boat, where another momma did a number on that a few years ago:

Fortunately I was in the middle of replacing the interior, so it was mostly old stuff she tore up.  How can you be pissed though when it's only nature and they're so damned cute?

I now store it at a whole lot better place, and keep all the new bolster seats etc. inside.
