PacificNWBuckeye reacted to Team Adam's in Adams Shirts
Shirts are on the spring 'to do' list - we learned our lesson last time though - having multiple options and multiple colors was probably too much, so we'll be going to a single design most likely. Something simple and branded and comfortable.

PacificNWBuckeye reacted to Chris@Adams in The Black Pearl Detail......
Out at the TRJ show this weekend I had a awesome opportunity to machine polish The Black Pearl....
This beauty was hand made by Rick Dore of the tv show The Lords of the Car Hoards.
The car belongs to James Hetfield of Metallica.
So I tackled it with my Cyclo polisher using the Orange MF pad & PCP first then followed up with White foam pads and PFP. The car turned out great and my new friend Rick was very happy to say the least.
Tried to capture some of the scratches in the pics..... they showed up better in person.
Taping off the brass trim....
Rick & Curt of TRJ checking out my work....
Here is a good before & after shot
Check out these reflection shots

PacificNWBuckeye got a reaction from 13dgmwrx in How do I clean this and what is it?
If you can get your hands on a Porter Cable the only way you will hurt the paint is to drop the polisher on it. Explain the technique to the owner of the vehicle even demonstrate on your own paint, heck let him try it on your paint to show how safe the Adams line is.

PacificNWBuckeye got a reaction from Redbeard in Sold 2 of My Favorite Vehicles for a Wagon
I scared one of those on the highway in my Crown Vic, rolled down the window to show I wasn't an officer and he took off like I was in reverse. I love those wagons!

PacificNWBuckeye reacted to THE Mook in How to clean grey pad used with buttery wax
I try to teach anyone I am around with a machine this:
1. Brush your pads out as soon as you are done using them.
2. Blast the face of the pad with APC while you clean up your tools and area.
3. Head over to sink and with as Hot of Water as you can stand, start to clean the pad like a paint brush, until the water is no longer murky.
If you are having trouble getting wax out of a pad, try hotter water, or mixing in a dot or two of Dawn.

PacificNWBuckeye reacted to AmyAtAdamsAustralia in Oh no Adams might be in trouble
That's creative. I'd like to see 1 year of use on a daily driver and if any further applications are needed. And preferably on a black vehicle.

Only 38 here, but most of these ring true with me.
Had to spend 30 minutes the other day trying to get a friends 13yr old son to understand what a set of encyclopedias were....

PacificNWBuckeye reacted to Tyler in Has anybody else tried traditional wet shaving?
I've been using a double edge for about three years now and I will never go back. My skin has improved so much.
It took me about 1.5 years to get the right combination of razor, blade, creme, brush & ritual but I found it and now I like shaving.
Both of my boys now use a double edge and now my brother in law is doing it. You can literally put in a new blade everyday and still come out cheap.
If you want to learn from the pro's go to badger and blade.
I use Feather blades, Edwin 85 razor, Mitchell's Wool Fat soap, Truefitt & Hill brush, and Art of Shaving aftershave.
Remember, shaving is about beard reduction not elimination and you will do well.

We need to do an ad campaign like Old Spice did/does with the Guy on the Horse and Wes Welker.

I've ridden or driven each of the three and the Challenger is the most comfortable one to me, give me a White R/T with a manual.

Dylan, while I've never gotten to meet you in person I have learned quite a bit from you via the videos and your posts here in the forum. You will be missed, but I wish you all the best in your future ventures.

PacificNWBuckeye got a reaction from scootertrash19 in Buttery Wax only?
Buttery is very underappreciated, it is a great wax and though it doesn't have the longevity of Americana it is much more forgiving in the application. 2-4 months is what I've gotten out of it, depending on weather.
I second the suggestion of claying first. I got a new Explorer at the beginning of the year and it needed clayed and a few spots of correction from the shipping wraps being drug across the paint during removal.

PacificNWBuckeye reacted to Team Adam's in Real Life Applicaton - Rinseless Wash
Funny... after I washed mine it doesn't look as good as yours... what process did you use to get those wheels and lift?
-
PacificNWBuckeye reacted to Team Adam's in Windshield Wipers
Frank is correct... NO SVRT on your wiper blades! The arms, sure, but the blades themselves, no.
Clean them with soap/water. I will occasionally do a quick swipe of the leading edges with sandpaper. Over time the rubber starts to harden... removing the top layer of the rubber and oxidation with an abrasive gets you down to a fresh layer of material.
