I received my Adams mini a couple days ago. The polisher looks and feels like a quality built machine! I haven't had a chance to use it other then a quick test . So far it has exceeded my expectations and the price is right.

If it's anything at all similar to the Rupes Mini (which it seems to be...maybe a slightly less heavy duty version?)...anyone would find it a great addition to the stable of tools.  I know I use mine frequently on trunks and smaller edges like door sills, window pillars (a-post, etc). For the price, I don't think you can go wrong.  You can get a Swirl Killer and a Swirl Killer Mini for a little more than I paid recently for just my Rupes Mini.  Seems like the best bang for the buck for a casual detailer!

I wanted to put my 2 cents in on the new Adam's Swirl Killer:

For the past few months I've been using/beta testing this machine and have performed numerous mulit-stage paint corrections with it. I am a professional detailer.  You can find pretty much every machine made in my arsenal.

    Some observations:

The Swirl Killer is well made.  It has a very nice 'feel' to it.  It is very balanced.  The vibration(s) are much less than the PC or Griot's PC type machines.  It is a 15mm long throw...this assists in 'faster' correction on a larger work area.  The power cord is very long and useful; I did not even need an extension cord to work around an average sized vehicle.

Power:  Plenty!  That being said, the long throw polishers have a tendency to 'stall' on curves.  You will experience this with this machine as well...you will need to learn and adjust your technique accordingly to overcome this and keep correcting/polishing.  I found myself running it on speeds 4+ for the heavy correction portion and then lower speeds for my final polishing.

Noise:  not bad for a polisher!  And I was running it in the upper speeds/wide open for some time.

Yes, it is made in China.  No, I do not consider that a major negative.  For the price it's an extremely capable machine and to me seems/works/feels like a 'professional' model. The 1 year warranty would not be an issue for me either.  For the targeted audience (non-professionals), I feel that the Swirl Killer is an excellent value to step up your detailing game with a 15mm long throw machine.

Jordan, I think it looks like a decent setup. I wouldn't get too hung up on the warranty. I don't think many carry more than a year. I have a PC that is 7 years old and it still runs fine. I have a couple others and all work after doing multiple cars. You take care of the basic dos and donts and you should be fine. I get what people are discussing here because Adams has rolled out a number of new products this year. But speaking strictly about this polisher, it has all the features you need to get a great finish. Time will tell and once people start using these out there, you will begin to see what they like and what they don't. There are pros and cons to all the polishers I have ever used. Some run hot, some will vibrate your teeth out of your head, and some are lacking in power to correct. I think one of the biggest cons to many customers has been price and that is clearly where Adams made a decision to meet a need. Most enthusiasts will not want to spend $400 on an item they might use a time or two. Cut that number in half and I think it opens the door to get more people wanting to learn and start machine polishing. If I were in the market for my first polisher, or a step up from the PC, this one would be high on my list. Dealing with this company you cannot go wrong. If you really want some answers, email their customer support or pick up the phone and call them.

I really don't understand what all the negative comments are for. A lot of things are made in China, clothes, cell phones, TVs, power tools etc.
In my opinion Adams is providing a choice so more people can afford to get into the industry. They're not making it the only choice they are just providing another choice. You can choose to buy it or not to. The choice is yours. Simple in my opinion

I've been away for a couple years for personal reasons.. used to post every day.  Crazy how things change. Anyway.  I can't believe how much Adam's has evolved.  So many more products than I remember and a triple soft towel? Oh man. Now an Adam's Polisher?? I definately like the direction this company is going personally.   You guys have been busy, great job Adam's team.

Hopefully I'll get back into the groove sooner or later.  It'll be harder since I don't have a cool car or a garage anymore :/

    Rock on Adam's!

On backing plates make sure you mark it with a black felt marker this way you can make sure its rotating and adjust your pressure.

I use my big plush towels for drying. I use small plush for polishes, waxes and sealants.

Bingo, key is less passes (less touching).  The jumbo plush is absolutely a great towel for drying paint, I've been using one for over a year now and only use waffle weaves after rinseless washing now.  Plush towels require a different method, you usually lay the towel over the section you are drying and just pat it dry or "blot" to absorb the water, it works remarkably well this way.  If you are trying to dry by just quickly wiping it will not work as well, you need to go slow to allow the fibers to absorb the water via capillary action.  These towels hold a TON of water.

Dries perfect with no streaks, Chris I understand your preference towards waffle weave drying but to post matter-of-factly that using a plush towel is not for drying is misleading.  Some people prefer it and consider it superior to waffle weave towels and I hope Adam's does another run of them soon.

They're great towels but I like both actually. The plush towel seems to take a bit more effort to dry your car off but it does so with less passes across your paint
