I don't believe I have ever shared this photos, so here goes.

My client had this car for about 10 years, but was busy working on Old No 2, so it sat - the chassis in his garage and the remaining parts in a storage unit.  He purchased the project from the Outer Banks of Virginia - the parts were in mayo jars, and the body was resting against a wall in a barn.  Once he finished Old No 2, he needed something else to do, so he started playing this car.

It is an 1913 Peugeot Bebe (Type BP1), designed by Ettore Bugatti (yes that Bugatti), in fact if you own one of these you can join the Bugatti's Owner Club (OK, so there is no longer an auto ownership requirement, but it sounds better!).  He designed the car (a cycle car) for the German brand Wanderer, and was licensed for the French market by Peugeot.  It was shown at the 1912 Paris Auto Show, and put into production the following year.  It has a straight 4 cylinder, 10 hp engine, with a top speed of 37 mph.
About 3000 were produced, with about 300 remaining.  Most are in museums, which is where one this lives now.

    The chassis:

Getting ready to put the body back on after many years apart:

This a shot of the floor board with handwritten serial number.  To the right of the pic are the slots for the pedals.

And an interior shots (note the missing floor board).  It had been treated several times with Adam's Leather Conditioner.  Due to the small size, the door was only on the passenger side.

The 'box' under the dash is the oil reservior.

After assembling the car, there was only ONE piece missing - a felt washer, and a wooden windshield frame piece had to be remade.
    Not bad for 105+ years!

    And finally a period photo.

This is a shot of 'Old no. 2' the 1912 race car I get to work on.  The owner started with the radiator, the engine, and the frame, and it took 14 years to get from collecting parts to completion.   His idea was to build a car like you could have had in the day, if money was no object, and to allow you jump in it and drive across the country (it has plug in for headlights, and between the seats are plugs for heated motorcycle suits) .
I call it a 1912 Indy spec custom hot rod, as it is like a Kindigit car, with no exposed wires or bolts, and lots of summitry (the holes in the hand brake and gear shift align perfectly).  Oh, and the engine - a 10 liter/600 cu. in. 4 cylinder (the 'formula' for the Indy race that year).  It will idle at 90 RPM - kind of like a 110 MPH tractor!
It is a lot of fun to show, and even more fun to drive!

Since the virus is cancelling everything, including car shows, how about an online car show here.  Doesn't matter if it's a garage queen or your daily driver.  Trucks, motorcycles, quads, show cars, anything goes!
Let's see what you all have!!!

Just make it so if you add 3, 6, or 12 a discount's automatically applied, they're all the same price right? It wouldn't be any more work on their end than if I added 6 different ones to my cart and bought them.  I know for Adam's base customer this would be a whatever thing because how many do normal people go thru? Very few. But as a detailer I might use 25 a week.

*EDIT* Okay, I was wrong I just looked and some are $3.99 and I see a few that are $1.99, they could do a variety option with a drop down that just had the ones the deal applies too. That would save me $20'ish a month if I bought them here, which isn't a lot, but would be enough to uhhh buy some more Adam's products lol.

Used it this afternoon, was tempting whether to go for Spray Wax or the 20th Anniversary DS, was not disappointed when i chose to use the Detail spray after blow drying the vehicle. was a bit cloudy outside, but it had a brilliant shine.

LOL at first use i saw black dots and had to rethink if i had got the correct bottle.

The first time I used the new updated detail spray formula was the 20 yr anniversary . My son and I used it as a drying aid. Both of us thought it had a tendency to "push around"
alot more than the original formula. Outside temps were in the low 50's. Also, stained our white drying towels permanently. I ordered the new Frost detail spray because it was the new formula and  white or light colored (yea). Used it yesterday back to back as a drying aid and on a dry car, right next to   the original detail spray. The new formula is definitely harder to wipe off ,much more streaking to get a clean finish. (new Frost color does not stain towels though). Both my son and I think the original formula still will be our go to detail spray at this point.
Sometimes the old standby is the best!

Who all has used the 20th Anniversary Detail Spray and what are your thoughts? Is there another thread on it I may have missed? I only saw the intro thread but nobody really talked much about it from a review perspective.

i used it for the first time and I’ll say I liked the shine and how it functioned as a drying aid. However I noticed it took quite a bit of passes during a final wipe down using it on a dry surface. It also wasn’t near as slick feeling as the OG Detail Spray. Seemed to grab a bit in the plush towel. Scent was good but there again I think the standard Detail Spray is far and away better and really iconic and associated with Adams. Hope they aren’t going away from that color and scent. This spray probably packs more protection and shine.

if it’s me, I probably use this boosted version as the drying aid and the pink DS for the final wipe down.

I have this and a couple other limiteds they have put out with the new formula.  My thoughts pretty much mirror yours, except for, as a drying aid it just married up with the water and smeared all around.  It was like mercury droplets on my paint, literally wouldn’t go away.  So I really hope they stick with the current pink formula.

This is another thread for me to make the suggestion for Adam's to offer the variety air fresheners packs but where you can pick which you want. Getting 6 for $13 instead of $18 add's up when you put one in most of your customers car.  Like towels, I'd definitely buy them in 12 packs too.

I really haven’t been impressed with the new APC. Most notably, it smells just like Tire and Rubber cleaner, not that lemon scent it used to have. Second, thinking back to the original version, I could see where it would break down grime on the tires. The new version doesn’t seem to do that. It clings really well, but I don’t see where it is breaking down and helping remove road grime on my tires. Could be I got a bad batch? Probably the first time I have not been impressed with an Adams product. I’ll use it on a few more things and see if it wins me over since I bought the gallon.

I’ll chime in, Adams support has always been stellar and still is. Adam is a great guy, he has helped me out a lot. The products speaking from a chemicals perspective are still excellent. The Chinese made tools I wont fault, but they are not for me. I like to buy premium tools. Adams spoiled me with Flex Rupes and Cyclo I guess. That’s up to you the buyer and I’m sure there are more people willing to spend half what I will on a polisher than those who don’t see price as an issue. The only other thing I’ve seen is that there isn’t really an Adams Expert on the Forum who measures up to someone we knew who used to OWN IT. The guy moved on to another company and those are huge shoes to fill. It will take what’s happening now, which is several contributing members and folks at Adams to fill that gap. That dude was a lot like Adam to me. Them type folks ain’t growing on trees.

As long as they continue to keep the customer number one and provide excellent service I will remain loyal to AP. I don’t see Adam letting that fall by the wayside. It starts at the top.

Latly I’ll pose this question, have you been delighted with their products and/or service? I have on NUMEROUS OCCASIONS!!! If you haven’t, maybe you aren’t paying attention. Otherwise I don’t know what to tell you. I’ve not had experiences with any company I’ve traded with like I have with AP.

Thanks Mike and each of you who responded to this thread.  I absolutely care.  This business is my baby.   I lived on Top Ramen and canned tuna with ranch dressing in a 950 sq ft warehouse on the railroad track,s next to the 405 freeway for three years while starting this business.  I'm not up to see Adam's be gimmicky, or low quality.

Stand by, we will continue to develop and launch new, quality products, and I certainly hope to continue to earn your trust, and your business.  Realize, I'm no longer the only person launching new products, and if I was, I'd have 5 hours of things to focus on for each hour of the day. Tough for a detailer with OCD and ADD to do!

I've leaned on our entire team, as has our CEO, to bring excellent, high quality detailing products and accessories to the market.
