Bryanl got a reaction from Black Bowtie in Adam PLEASE...Bring Back Finish/Correction Polish!!
The old Orange was a great product - often all that was needed.
You could use it with a drop or 2 of Blue Heavy Correcting or a drop or 2 of White to achieve astounding results easily & quickly.
I have a Detailing business & the new process is way too slow. 2 or 3 passes often to get the same results & almost always have to use the white to finish.
I like Adams Products but when i run out of the old Orange & Blue Heavy Correcting I'm likely looking for replacements elsewhere.
For me it's a matter of time- just can't be going over & over panels with Polish that doesn't work.

Bryanl reacted to falcaineer in H20 Guard & Gloss as Clay Lube?
I had never considered it, but after thinking about it I wouldn't do it, either. Clay is meant to clean and decon paint, and can/will remove protection while using it. I'd think it would remove protection you're trying to apply with the HGG, defeating the purpose. I also think lubrication would be an issue because less is more with HGG, and you need a lot of lube for clay, so streaking is a strong possibility.
In fairness, DS adds some minor protection, too, but not nearly as much as the HGG. Plus, I don't think you'll like the results, much like I don't like clay residue left behind when using DS.
All that said, you could certainly try, it's your car. But I reecommend you stick with DS or diluted RW, and a a wet/soapy car.

Bryanl reacted to wely324 in new BMW black sapphire metallic, what to do?
looking for some ideas on a good detail process for a new car that will have about 3000 miles through nj winter and only washed once by the dealer, I know. Regardless the car had some wash and swirl marks when i picked up the car new. So I'm not looking to do a 100% correction, but would like to get it mostly corrected with lots of gloss, it's got tons of gloss right now. From my research the black sapphire metallic bmw paint is fairly hard, so I think I will need to do a two step correction to remove the swirls, but I will test spot first with a finishing polish.
The car definitely has some protection on the car as it beads up well. Would I be able to do a rinseless wash, clay, ipa wipe, compound, polish, ipa wipe, and then apply my wax or sealant depending on what I decide on? I was thinking if it would be possible to do that process panel by panel as im not sure i could finish the car in a single day and would be working outside, so weather dependent.
My idea is to split the car into three sections and then give it a thorough wash after completing the exterior and add a fresh layer of sealant, etc? Or my other thinking is to just do a thorough wash, clay, one step polish, then glaze and sealant and call it a day?

Bryanl got a reaction from mc2hill in How did you first hear about Adam's Products?
I thought that my '41 Ford Pick Up was shiny - used a multitude of products to get what I thought was a
great shine - won awards - I was happy.
One day Glen Yates - our local distributor - offered to shine 1/2 of my back bumper, 1/2 of my fender & 1/2
of my aluminum wheel.
It was way better - spent all the money I had on product that day & never looked back.
Retired now & detailing cars a as little business - all with Adams - lots of happy customers
