Glad it worked out for you Ray.

I was quite surprised the difference in thickness in foam. With the 1.1 the foam hung around a lot longer and really has made me rethink the potential wash process.

Hi Marshall. I am sure at your PSI/GPM your cannon works great.  I am probably about half the GPM as you so switching to the 1:1 orifice really helped.   Be nice if Adams included the 1.1 orifice for those of us with the smaller units.

But I just grabbed a tip off Amazon which comes with one of those little pads that go inside the gun too.

Thanks Rich for the note about the 1.1mm nozzle and I'll need to seriously consider adding it to my next order.   As for the rinse, I've used the pressure washer, many different nozzles for the hose and nothing has compared to the Fire Hose nozzle.  Now if I could just keep it in my area instead of being on the wife's hose for her plants it would be nice.

Hi Ray,  I have had an Adams foam gun for about 5 years (best guess) and I am sure its had less than 15 uses.  Just never really found much value it it as most everything I put on ran off. Maybe I am doing it wrong.  Just seemed like a lot of shampoo down the drain.

I finally got a chance to give the new pressure washer 2.0 a workout with the premium foam cannon. I did order a 1.1mm nozzle for it and I can say the difference is significant.  Would recommend the 1.1mm to anyone running a pressure washer with similar pressure/gpm.

I would say the cannon is going to make me change my normal wash process.

I tossed 3 pads in a bucket of water with grit guard but added no soap as I usually do.  Prepped the tires and wheels with normal chemicals and then foamed just tires and wheels with graphene shampoo. Finished wheels/tires and rinsed them off with pressure washer and gave the vehicle a quick pressure washer rinse to remove debris and clean fender wells. Once complete I snapped the foam cannon back on and foamed the truck.   Washed the truck using the 3 pads in the bucket and the shampoo hung the entire time. Have to say I have never felt I had more lubricity than this time.  The actual wash time was less but probably offset by the fact I had 3 pads to rinse out after.

The only thing I am undecided on is rinsing with the pressure washer. Not sure the value in that except for saving water. I like my Adams fire hose nozzle and is much quicker than the pressure washer and I feel does a better job.

I am considering going to a larger nozzle size on the pressure washer which will drop pressure and increase GPM.  Maybe that will help the rinse.

Overall I like the setup. Adams put a really nice hose and gun on the 2.0.

Sounds like the backing plate has lost its ability to hold on to the pad.  With an LHR MKII, staying around speed 4 to 4.5 is the sweet spot.  Also not cycling pads or overloading them with product will heat up the pad.  Microfiber pads do generate more heat.

How soon I forget?! You're right, thanks for keeping me honest. Adding a couple of ounces probably won't hurt, but the new formula is more aggressive than the old so just use a bit more caution. Sorry for any confusion.

The blue Compound and white Polish are optimized to use with the color coded pads. The ones you show are for Paint Sealant/Wax (red and grey), the old Correcting Polish (orange) and, while I don't recognize it, heavier cut (orange and black). You could probably use the orange ones with Compound but results will vary. You'll need new white foam pads for the Polish.

OK. Was not sure what could happen to the product over time.   I have not seen any visible issues as I was able to shake and use.

I think I am just going to mess around on this vehicle the Adam way and do a panel completely and spray ceramic coat it.   Just do a panel or two  a week. I would switch to the full coating but don't want to burn through 10 applicators. LOL

I use Iron remover often and have had no issues.  Its just a safety step for me as it removes the iron without moving it around with claybar.

As long as you are not in direct sun it can be left on longer than 5 minutes as it does not dry out like the old days of using wheel cleaner.

Its both for me.  I use a master blaster to dry 80 to 90% getting the nooks and crannies and also wheels and lugnuts and then detail spray and towel dry to finish.

I scrubbed the heck out of mine with tire and rubber cleaner and a stiff brush with no success.  Its really something you want to do before the trim restore anyway.

Unfortunately, the reviews on this site for the Trim restore longevity are not great.

My recommendation to anyone using Graphene would be to keep it off the trim regardless of what Adams says.

So what do you do in a year when it needs re coated.  Paint ceramic needs buffed off.  No way to buff off most trim.

I can see where it would wear off differently based on sun and environment so concerned about a re-coat laying down evenly.

Follow up.  I do not like car washes   I always hand wash and have not been to car wash in years.

But our winter has been brutal and I had white salt and stuff growing on the truck. So off the car wash I went.  I have never been able to get road film off so its really never clean when I leave.  But with the graphene was amazing. Dirt came off easy and was spotless when I left.

Thanks for the info! Good looking truck and I think I am going to try it. Honestly never liked the Adams stuff but I have seen good stuff about the newer graphene and really like the UV light. I used IGL ceramic in the past and it is so hard to see where you have been so UV light is a really good idea imo. Don't know when to buy it yet as it is still chilly here in ohio and not ready to put summer wheels on yet!

My 2 cents worth.  I have been a fan of Adams for several years. I have NOT been a fan of their protectant products as they never really held up very well in my environment compared to the other cheaper brands. That has changed recently when I tried Adams Graphene ceramic.  It is undoubtedly the best product I have ever used. Super slick (unlike their original ceramic) and very durable.

I really did not have a ton of it left after doing the white truck in the picture but it was enough. I did have enough remaining to do 1/2 of my wifes hood and testing other products on the other half.  The Graphene is still going strong and the other stuff disappears in a few washes.

I am still finding my way with boost maintenance but have had great results with graphene detail spray.   Chris mentioned Wash & Coat. I had not heard of it and Adams has did a pretty good job hiding it in their store.  I am not a fan of wash and wax stuff and the reviews really do not look great on the product so I think I am going to stick with what works for now.

I think you will be happy and as mentioned above the kit is enough to do a full size truck like mine. One thing I will mention is you really need to get a feel for when to wipe it off. All the Adams videos I watched showed it being applied and then removed pretty quickly. In my case (70 degrees and high humidity) it really took about 8 minutes and I found the best way to know is when its starting to get grabby with the towel when you wipe it off.

Welcome to the site. I am sure you will be happy with the Adams kit.

So being honest I am a big fan of Adams products but have not had decent longevity with anything they sell. LPS, Patriot, etc.  I even had bad results with an Adams ceramic job which in my opinion was caused by improper instructions after a product change in Adams original ceramic. Actually, I was told this by customer service.

It left a bad taste in my mouth for Adams protection products and I was led to another brand that was a hybrid ceramic spray wax. Was cheap, easy to apply and in my opinion worked as well as anything Adams I had used.

Because of my results with other brand I recommended it to a few friends.  On a whim I decided to try Graphene on my truck.  Little learning curve with it as well but in the end I got a decent coating on the truck and am very happy with it.

I had a little bit of the graphene left in the bottle so I thought I would do half my wifes hood with it and see how it held up over the winter. At the same time I did the other half of the hood with this other brand product.

Picture below. Graphene on the right, brand X on the left.  EDIT: this was after 3 hand washes with Adams shampoo!

I already have another ceramic kit sitting on the shelf ready to do her car when we have a free weekend.

Totally understand. There are no warranties on the coatings, but that issue should have been covered under the satisfaction guarantee, especially if it had only been a month, so I'm glad we were able to eventually resolve that. As an fyi, Emery is no longer with the company.

I would say to give the Slick & Slide a shot. It's the same price as Detail Spray at $12.99 a bottle, and I do feel it leaves a more slick surface than any of our waxes, just at the sacrifice of longevity. If you aren't happy with it, let me know and I'll send you a gift card for the trouble
