The first time I ever laid a sealant down I did it by hand using a microfiber sponge and experienced the same thing you are. I then tried a hex grip applicator (Different company, same thing) and while it worked better, it still doesn't lay down as thin as I wanted it to.

Then comes along the application pad for a machine. These are hands down the best way to do it. Normally I will just use a 4" pad and do the whole vehicle like that instead of stopping to switch pads when I get to a small area. Since you're doing it with a machine you move much faster and it goes down thinner anyway. I keep the speed on 2-2.5 and buzz around the car in 10 minutes or so.

If you’re going to use a leaf blower, use one that was bought and only used for that purpose. Leaf blowers are not filtered air and when used in dirty environments (like blowing leaves) they can pull particles into them that settle and then get blasted on your vehicle.

So a leaf blower can be a good option, but purchase one new and dedicate it to the cause. Don’t let one do double duty.

Just my opinion. We wouldn’t want to cause damage to a finish we just created.

Hey guys! Found this page while searching for some info on some Adam's products so I thought I'd sign up. Just started buying Adam's products last year and I'm hooked. Trying to keep my truck as nice as possible and learn new detailing things every day. Pictures attached below, I have more Adam's stuff than shown but love the Oakley case for a detail display.

Also have a brand new ceramic wheel coating kit that I would like to trade for other products if anyone is interested?

If you aren't seeing responses to email, try checking your spam folder. I didn't think I was getting responses either and after email a couple times, I finally had a response come through that showed previous response that I hadn't seen before. I checked my spam folder and saw that they had responded to every email sent, I just wasn't seeing them. They have a ticketing system and responses are sent from some weird email address. I can't guaranteed this is what is happening for you but I felt pretty embarrassed about following up after a response was already sent. When I have called, it has taken a couple tries to get through but I have had someone answer.

Back in March, I purchase my first Classic Car in 20 years.  A 1959 Morris Minor 1000 Traveller.  Now that I am retired I had more time to spend working on and detailing the car.  My neighbor recommended Adam's products and I took the plunge.  Well, needless to say, I quickly became addicted.  I want to thank everyone on this forum for their advice when it came to the steps I took. It had been 20 years since I really did any serious detailing and boy have things changed (for the better IMHO).  The car got Strip wash, Clayed, Correcting Polish, Finishing Polish, Paint Sealant, Brilliant Glaze and Buttery Wax on the first go 'round.  Also, Leather & Interior Cleaner, as well as Leather Conditioner on the interior and Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner on the Carpets.  The windows got the full treatment and the chrome gets Brilliant glaze.  I have also tried wusing H2O G&G and Ceramic Boost after washing (Love the ceramic Boost).  I take Maggie to at least one show each week (weather permitting) and as you can tell by the picture, she has done quite well.  14 Trophies since the first show on April 20. Very proud of the car and the shine as I let everyone know it because of the Adam's products.  Now, if they would just come out with a product to handle the woood....

I use DS without any issue at all. Adam demos this in all of his videos and at clinics in person,, so if it's good enough for him, it's good enough for me. If it adds any layer at all, it's extremely minimal since DS contains a small amount of carnuba, but the polish will make quick work of that and you won't even notice. If you don't have DS, I've heard WW or diluted RW will work, but I've never tried. I also tend to clay without drying the car and use the residual water for extra lubricity.

Well, I'll throw a wrench in your finding Waldo (me) this year!  I sold the yellow canopy.  Now I'm back to a plain blue top (but the wife put a PINK donut on the peak ?) just so we could find it in any overhead pictures
Can you find me now?  .

I have the large polisher bag and want to protect my SK even more, especially if/when I include another polisher in the bag (see post from @Editguy here).

I'd like to suggest a soft cotton/poly/felt-like bag for machine polishers, preferably drawstring or something similar to keep the cord, etc, enclosed. Maybe brand it with the Adam's logo and offer different color options like red (which would be awesome!) and black, or even release limited editions or themed ones like USA/July 4th.. The possibilities are endless! Think of it as a bag within a bag. Of course, it could be used stand-alone, too, as a less expensive option to the polisher bag, for storage on the shelf, etc.

    What say you, @Kyle@Adams, @Matt@Adams, @Kourtney@Adams, and Adam's team?
