  1. Anyone know if Adam's will be at the Portland Roadster Show this weekend? A few years ago we got the team from HQ and Adam himself was out.
  2. Our Christmas present from my parents a few years ago took almost 3 weeks to get to us, 2-3 days from Ohio to Vancouver, then approx 2 weeks of going from Vancouver to Portland to Seattle and back to Portland. The last part, it went back and forth from Vancouver to Portland a couple times before being delivered.
  3. I have them on the 2013 Explorer I'm driving and I was able to correct them with fine machine polish and a 4" pad and a drill. It didn't take long for them to swirl again though, super soft clear or whatever coating is on them.
  4. These type of comments are what make me a customer until I can't wash my own vehicles. I have met a few of the Adams team from Adam down to some of our local Vendors and all of them are friendly helpful people. Keep it up guys between the products and service all you have to do is get someone to try something out and experience the service to have another customer for life.
  5. Welcome John, good luck with getting the scratches out. Like the others said watch the videos, then watch them again, if you think you have it down watch them again. By the way, love the cart.
  6. Couldn't take it anymore, had to wash my Explorer tonight. 1st time it's been warm enough (about 40deg) and not raining when I was off. It got dark before I got a pic, but it was last washed in November I think, too many 50-60 hour weeks since July to be sure when it was.
  7. Thanks for the replys, had no idea how bad the Minis were. I checked into the Consumer reports complaints sections and it's crazy. Even with the issues we have had recently the Vic is high on my list. I just don't know if I can bring myself to buy a Honda or Toyota. Volkswagen is a consideration, a 2010 and up Taurus would be great. I still have time, before I need to have it or have the rest of the cash to buy whatever it will be.
  8. Well it looks like the company I work for is doing away with our company cars, so by the end of June i will need to pick up a car to drive. I am looking a something used that I can buy outright. I've been thinking just get another Crown Victoria, but were having some electrical issues with our current one. So I've always liked the Mini Cooper S and I've seen 2008's in my price range ($8000ish), just wondering if anyone here has one and if there are known issues once the miles start piling up. Maybe you know of a good forum not unlike the one we are on now with info on them.
  9. The ones I see at car shows are the worst. The local Wally World parking lot is not the place to look for flawless paint, but as Rich mentioned above the stuff at car shows should be a bit better taken care of. Most of the time even my wife will point out the swirls if they are bad enough.
  10. I have one I got through Adams a couple years ago, great little machine. I would love one of the new Adams branded ones, but there is nothing wrong with mine. If you don't have one they are a great addition to your drying process.
  11. I never get why someone would let a new car get that way.
  12. Ok, so if there is an Adam's booth next year there needs to be a contest for a forum member to get to attend along with the team. Too awesome you got to meet Chip Foose!
  13. Your trim may need a good scrub with APC before the next SVRT application. I had very oxidized trim on my Crown Victoria when I got it and until I cleaned it well the SVRT didn't seem to last long.
  14. I do love buttery wax, but with liquid paint sealant and h20gg you should be good as the other have said. I just did my first wash after applying h20gg and I can't believe how something that goes on so simple held up. I did a 3 bucket wash with detail spray as a drying agent and the whole thing feels like silk, just crazy smooth and beads everywhere.
  15. I only have a PC right now and after finishing a full polish on my Crown Victoria P71 my hands and forearms were still buzzing. Great machine for the price, but there is a bit of vibration. You wouldn't want to use one if you did this for a living.
  16. Just got to try Gaurd and Gloss for the first time and it rains that night and more today. All I can say is wow, beads everywhere! The darn near magic of a panel being wet one minute and sealed the next is impressive.
  17. This is why I will always use Adams products and talk them up to anyone that will listen.
  18. Dang it! Worked 60hrs last week and 55 this week on an upgrade at a customer site and I've been too tired to check in most nights so I missed the mystery box.
  19. I would jump on this if I was in the area, I went to school in Columbus.
  20. I'm in for Buttery Wax, super easy to use in most any condition, great longevity for how easy in goes on and comes off.
  21. I'm no tool snob and I do have quite a few Harbor Freight tools. I have one rule I try to follow with their stuff, buy nothing with a plug. There are a few gems in their stores, but for the most part I find it true for me.
  22. You will probably still need to some correction to the paint. When i picked up my last Company Car the dealer had scuffed the roof pretty bad when they pulled some of the plastic wrap off the car.
  23. It was the brightest Yellow I could get, plus it was left over from another job at my buddies body shop.
