  1. Wow, I'm not a big fan of red cars, but damn, that Stingray looks amazing! It's shine on top of shine!
  2. You might be crazy and I'm not sure I'm all that normal.
  3. Rare, sounds like a well run maintenance department.
  4. As stated above the long cure time is normal, but the sun doesn't seem to cook it like many other waxes.
  5. H20 G&G is not too happy if left sit too long in the sun and that could be the residue you had left on the chrome. I had that some when I first tried it and just hit it with a bit of detail spray and it wiped clean. I usually finish with a detail spray wipe down anyway so I had it right there. If you can't get it out of the sun I would do smaller that recommended sections, as with all the "recommended" procedures you millage may vary. You will need to try things and modify steps to work for how you progress around a vehicle, your climate, your water etc...
  6. My wife said it smells strong of apple. I don't get apple, it's a nice scent, but not your typical "apple" scented item. She was happy it didn't smell like the standard detail spray which she says smells of Pepto-Bismol.
  7. I couldn't even find the last pics of the setup, all the shelves had 2 cars each, where the one I posted only has 1 on a few of them. I wish I still had all of them.
  8. I have one of the 32oz bottles and sprayers for my wheel cleaner, it is way better than the 16oz sprayer. I have 1 of the dilution bottles for detail spray. Both the Tolco's and the new 32's are nice upgrades to the standard sprayers, to me they are pretty even in performance for the little I've used them.
  9. Good idea Gary, the compressed air would be a good maintenance step. I had never thought about it and after having them out for many years there was a decent amount of dust and cat hair built up. I'm sure if your displays have any kind of doors it would help minimize the build up as well. Below is my last setup, as you can see mine were pretty open for the most part.
  10. Detail spray works wonders, I had over 200 1/18th scale diecasts displayed at one time and the detail spray helped keep them nice. The problem you can run into over time is the dust will settle into the interiors and you will have to take them apart to really clean them out.
  11. ADAMS HAS CRACKED STEALTH TECHNOLOGY!
  12. I've done a 2013 Explorer, a 2012 Veloster, 2006 Crown Vic and the hood of my 2002 Dakota and still have more than half of a 16oz bottle left, like they've said above once the towel loads you use less. Get the 16oz and make sure you like it, you can always get a gallon later. They are not going to get rid of it anytime soon, it's darn near magic in a bottle.
  13. The SVRT is more versatile, but I do like a shiny tire on my truck.... I just need white letter tires!
  14. Spending the day out with the wife ans a friend for my birthday, 1 stop will be a Geek Craft Fair, whatever that is, maybe I can get something Superman or Harley Quinn. Also heading to Aurora to this really cool Antique Store, hoping I'll find another vintage razor. Just about time to head for breakfast, so just want to wish the other members that share this day as their birthday.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
  15. Sweet, I'd daily drive it as it sits. Never got to do the powertour, but I used to go to the Hot Rod Supernationals in high school with my best friend and his dad.
  16. Welcome Rodger, it's been well stated above, sealant is going to be your best option maintained with periodic H2O Guard and Gloss (a truly magical product), performing a 2 bucket wash with the grit guards will help too. You won't have a perfect finish, but it will be well protected.
  17. I did something similar years ago before I knew of Adams, when my "tire shine" and glass cleaner were both clear liquids in bottles with black spray tops...... Yep, shiny tire stuff on glass really sucks to get back off.
  18. Picked up a used 2012 Veloster for the wife and it gets the same build up (also direct injection). I didn't even realize it had thin chrome surrounds on the exhaust they were so black. I started with wheel cleaner, let that sit for a few and scrubbed with the lug brush and red bristle wheel brush, followed with some APC in similar manner. I hit it with both metal polish 1 and 2 to get them fully revived to chrome. I found the letters on the license plate surround were metalized during this process too.
  19. I would suspect that even though they are the same product each batch may settle a little differently from each other. I run into this at work all the time when customer asks why one system will do something another will not when they are the same type of system so they should be identical.
  20. I normally wear 2XL in the Carhartt pocket T's and the new blue Adam's shirt is right on size with those, super soft (unlike the Carhartts).
  21. I just got a 2XL and it is plenty big for me(6'4" ,260ish), not sure if it will shrink or not. Amazingly soft as well.
  22. Don't let them talk you out of it, Buttery Wax is pretty awesome. It doesn't have the durability of the others, but it goes on and comes off easy, the new Americana does offer those properties now.
  23. I did my dark blue Crown Vic in the sun, I had to do smaller sections and used quite a bit of detail spray to reactivate the pads as they would dry out quickly. As said above, start early and one it gets hot keep up your water intake.
  24. I do them last, use the soapy water from my wash, an old wash pad to agitate the soap and clean the area, maybe a soft brush and to rinse I have a pressurized garden sprayer with clean water, so as not to soak the interior. I will dry and wipe down with detail spray, they will get waxed once a year.
  25. I would tend to Agree with Jim, unless the clear has failed it's not a lost cause. You may not achieve "perfection", but "perfect" for your situation and level of ability (which is ever changing) can be reached.
