SYMAWD got a reaction from Thorsager in New Car Prep: 2016 Audi A3
I traded in my 2014 Civic Si for this 2016 Audi A3 2.0t quattro. The car is new and has never been washed but it did sit for nearly 6 months at the dealer without anyone touching it. Here it is in my driveway with 300 miles on it. Just a little dirty. The color is Lotus Gray.
Wheels were cleaned with a product similar to DWC and the tires and wheel wells were cleaned with Adam's APC.
Here it is after a wash with Adam's Car Shampoo.
I then sprayed the car down with a product similar to DWC.
I then got the car fairly dry to pull into the garage and clay it.
Only the horizontal surfaces were badly contaminated.
Here is the initial condition of the paint.
Pretty good except a few areas had minor water spots.
Because the paint was in relatively excellent condition, I proceeded just to polish the car to get it closer to perfect.
Trunk
Hood:
I then brought it back into the garage to apply a ceramic coating.
I also went around and cleaned all of the rubber window trim using Adam's APC
Rubber trim and tires were then dressed with Adam's SVRT. The wheels and windshield got Adam's Quick Sealant. The rest of the glass got another sealant.
The final result:

SYMAWD got a reaction from Feets31 in Thoughts needed!
Except the logo used to say Nike. I really don't think Adam's is big enough for people to recognize it and if I'm wearing a shirt to support/ promote a company, I would like people to know what it is. -

I don't care which logo, but if it has a zipper, I'm not buying it. Pull over for me.

SYMAWD got a reaction from Ricky Bobby in Quick Sealant
Maybe it didn't sell well because a can lasts forever. I still have one from 3 years ago. It was a great product.

SYMAWD got a reaction from Adam in Colad Pressurized Spray Bottle
APC for tires, DWC for wheels, diluted rinseless as a presoak for actual rinseless, diluted DWC for paint.

SYMAWD got a reaction from Kourtney@Adams in HGG - not for me
What's the big deal about not getting a fine mist? You are spreading it out anyway. I really makes no difference to me how it comes out of the bottle.

SYMAWD got a reaction from NG13 in rinseless vs. waterless wash
What exactly? The process? The difference when rinseless is diluted to WW? The fact that one requires water and one doesn't? I would suggest starting by watching the videos for RW and WW on their product pages and then come back with any questions you still have.
In short WW is spray and wipe.
RW is taking a few gallons of water adding RW and then soaking towels in the solution to wipe down the car, followed by a drying towel. RW is safer as there is more liquid to carry away dirt.

SYMAWD got a reaction from Performance Auto Detailing in No new total interior detailer on the horizon is there?
I remember that and I was excited because I dislike the current TID. I'm too lazy to go dig it up though. -

SYMAWD got a reaction from Kourtney@Adams in Brilliant Glaze = Brilliant Plasti-Dip Remover
Except Audi's Nardo Gray is actually like that. It's a non metallic color. -
SYMAWD reacted to TheBurninator in Brilliant Glaze = Brilliant Plasti-Dip Remover
Looks dull compared to a real clear coat.
