Just thought I’d update this thread for everyone. This weekend I’ll finally get a chance to start working on one of our Ascent’s. The interiors are coated but need to be freshened up a bit anyway.

This weekend the work flow for one is...
    - Wash
    - Iron removal
    - Clay
    - Finishing polish
    - paint protection film, partial front (hood, fender, mirrors, bumper)
    - ceramic coat wheels
    - ceramic coat trim
    - ceramic coat the paint.

These won’t be done in Adam’s, but when I do the write up I will substitute in the appropriate Adam’s products for reference and to support the forum.

The sticker wall is alive and well! Promised above I'd take some pics, so here's the wall as of yesterday, 31 Aug 18.

Also found this hidden link. https://adamspolishes.com/stickerwall. I saw quite a few from out of state, so if you're mailing them in, they're likley making it onto the wall...keep it up!

Since my business is run out of my home, and with the recent family additions we outgrew our garage which doubled as a family garage and workspace.

The way our land is laid out, we can’t have a poured foundation due to the zoning setbacks. So we had to go with a premanufactured garage.

We ended up settling on a 14’ x 32’ garage style “shed.” We have used the back half for storage for equipment and I’ve started making the front half a film and coating studio.

The front and back half will be separated by a canvas curtain enabling me to easily get in and out of for the storage component.  Up front, I’ve installed eighteen 4,800 lumen LED shop lights on the wall and ceiling. That’s 86,400 lumens of light for coating and film to catch everything.

We started hanging banners and have power partially run. The rest will be done soon.

Eventually I’d like to RaceDeck the flooring. But all in good time. And I’ll insulate it before winter.

In the meantime here’s some progress photos.

Thanks again Rich for letting us hang out with you & your wife! It was great meeting you guys and yes, definitely cool to meet Ken! I had a blast all day & really couldn't have had better weather for it, that's for sure! I haven't gone through the photos I did take, but I will share the links here when I get them done!

It was an incredible experience to go to my first Corvettes at Carlisle after being in love with the cars pretty much my whole life. Hopefully someday I'll be there with my own!

I plan on doing something similar to that. I will play around with different pads/compounds and see how they remove different sanding marks. Everything from 1500 grit to 3000

Tyler has your pad-to-product question sorted, but wanted to remind everyone that you should use the least aggressive method possible.
Mark off a 2 ft. x 2 ft. section with painters tape, usually on the hood or trunk lid.  Start with the white pad and finishing polish to see if that gets you the desired results.  If not happy, do that combo again before stepping up to the next, more aggressive combo - orange pad + Correcting Polish.  And the same with CP before stepping up the Heavy Correcting Compound.
Clear coat is thin, so leave as much as possible!

Awesome pics Rich, I really appreciate the hospitality for my friends that came down to check out some awesome cars. Sounds like it was a great Carlisle weekend, much cooler than the ACN's but it is what it is.

@shane@detailedreflections is right on with it. Really hard to tell from an internet photo. The one step I dont see much of the help with, based on a finger feel test it doesnt seem to have much more than the finishing polish in it thou it might be just enough to give that bit more effort without doing the full 2 step process.

If it looks great to you then go with it, it looks well done in the photo.

Oh ouch, yeah moisture is no good, and sadly most of the cabinets these days are made out of particle board, or MDF of which neither do well with water on them for long periods of time. I would push for them to cover it all, and in all honesty I would get your insurance company involved letting them know what happened so that they can help you fight this. Hopefully they can get at least the floor taken care of quickly for you and have things mostly level when you move in.....actually if it makes the kitchen unusable can you even move in? Will they issue a CO if you dont have access to the stove? Not sure of the laws out your way. Oh, and get a copy of the before and after moisture tests, proves the water was removed later on if anything ever happens.

Keep nicely pushing and you should be ok. Requesting the moisture test data should not be too hard to get ahold of and if nothing else is just good piece of mind. You already closed so the CO shouldnt have been an issue. Hopefully they just take care of everything, speaking to the flooring can you return what you bought and get your money back so that you dont even need to play games with them? That way they can just have a contractor provide it? Or if you can get knowledge of the contractor maybe you can work a deal with them.

Pizza only requires Bacon to be perfect, anything else is merely trying to distract you from the perfection known as Bacon, and none of that round stuff, that is HAM not bacon, and if it didnt come from a pig.......lets not even start with that.

I agree with @RayS on the separation of the towels. My seperation is about the same as well, I have also taken to using some vinegar once and a while in my loads to help with things. Primarily I use MFR and the Tide free liquid.

Only tools I have at my disposal are a vacuum, CUC, Multi-purpose Foaming Cleaner, cockpit brush and some MF towels.

Here are some results I got with just those.

It’s hard to say since it’s so variable on conditions. The better question is are you happy with the results?  If so, then it’s fine. An all-in-one will never have the lasting protection of standalone products.

@shane@detailedreflections is right, and she was a clean car, and to the eye the interior looked clean. Even the owner was surprised at what came out of those carpets.

Also I had my new Challenger extraced by Shane and Marquis, only 3k on the clock when they saw it and it was still a bit of a green tea colored water after they were done with the fronts. Ill be back again for sure to have them keep up on it and keep those smells, mold, mildew, and other junk out of my carpets!

Diluting Rinseless Wash 16:1 and using as a waterless wash is amazing.  I truly believe this is the best kept secret of the Adams community.  It’s pennies on the Dollar compared to Waterless Wash and produces better Shine.

I would happily pay double the price if they would replace the bubblegum scent with the waterless blue raspberry though lol.
