Thanks Friends, and as Nick replied, we are absolutely going to continue offering the 7" pads for the Flex, Porter Cable, Rupes, Griot's, Meguiar's, Dewalt, Makita, BOSCH, etc.

As for the guarantee, yes, we will honor those as well.  We simply won't be moving forward with selling the Flex tools.

Thanks for your input and questions, keep them coming!

But when a few key people, who have always been the same ones that help with problems and about the only ones that ever had an answer and that are looked up to just disappear... Its kind of a downer and creates some speculation/realization.

I don't have a problem with change but when a lot of big changes happen at once it makes you stop and take a step back and wonder hmmm.

From the outside looking in, there are a lot of familiar and trusted faces no longer associated with the company. I'm not sure a wholesale exodus or 'prunning', whatever you want to call it, really encourages me to reach for my wallet anymore.

Quick sealant has been on my list of things to get for a while now, and with new wheels in the mail with a matte finish I had heard this is what you need to use. But I never made it a priority.

That's no longer the case! Our winters here in Portland are usually just rain, with temps between 35 and 40, we just had a couple inches of snow about a week ago and with all the salt and de ICER they use, I wasn't keen on it. But thank you for display! I'm very excited to order this now!

I would be lying if your leaving doesn't make me wonder about the future of the forum...not many could diffuse a situation, or provide product expertise to people or add such a touch of humor to the forums that just made everyone feel comfortable. I'll miss ya man.

I must say I am not surprised however, something just feels different lately.

Yes the rinseless wash diluted to 1:36 is a great clay lube. Claying with $50 per gallon detail spray is borderline insane IMHO. Get a 36 oz spray bottle, add an ounce of rinseless wash and fill the rest with water...

I love detail spray...but it is too expensive for me to use as a clay lube.  There are many good alternatives.  I save my detail spray for the last step after washing.  Just my $0.02.

Absolutely.  Too many cheap alternatives out there in concentrates that do a great job to ever consider using DS a clay lube, and I never have to worry about being too stingy with using it when claying.  DS as a clay lube is a waste of product and money, IMHO.

+1, only problem with their awesome customer service is that I want it from other places I deal with and get irritated/annoyed when it is far inferior (although I should expect it to be).  Happened last night and I caught myself saying "I with they were like Adam's".

It will eventually be offered in gallons, but no definite timetable right now.

Just like with DWC we want to see what the demand is like before we go to production, but based on how well received it's been it's not a question of IF just WHEN we begin to offer it.

It is recommended and I would for SVRT but not rinseless.  It's not like you're letting it dry on the paint so there is no concern for water spots.

I think Adams pricing is pretty good.  Again your not being forced to buy anything.

Take a look at the pricing for the Pinnacle brand on AG.  Just check how much a gallon of the crystal mist quick detailer is as well as every product in the line, then check adams prices.  I have no problem speaking my mind on stuff.  The only product that I though the pricing was out of this world on was the double soft towels.  They can be had for half the price all over the internet.  That did not sit well with me.  But now with the blue and gray towels the price is right in line with everyone else.

As I've posted here many many times before... If you're looking for cheap, we're not your guys. We cannot offer the quality of the product we do, packaged the way we do, with the support we do, with an uncondtional money back guarantee and compete on price. If we did we'd have gone out of business a long time ago.

If your only criteria for comparison is going to be 'what does it cost me per oz?' we're simply not going to be on the top of your list. Maybe the made in the USA (including packaging) part doesn't matter to you or perhaps you don't need the guarantee or the support. If thats the case I can only say that our products -according to the impartial reviews- are coming out on top. You'll have to decide if that is enough to justify the higher price for you. Theres nothing wrong with shopping on price if thats what your primary criteria is... we all do that for some things in our lives, but just go in knowing Adam's isn't able to be or trying to be 'the low price leader' on detail products. Thats not our focus and its not sustainable model for us. There are plenty of other guys out there doing the 'cheap' thing.

Remember - PRICE is what you pay. VALUE is what you get for your money. I think we add a lot of value to our products in the form of support and peace of mind, even though the price will regularly come out higher than other products in the segment.

    Here's my feedback.....
I have NO DOUBT that whatever you guys do, the quality will be STELLAR.  For lack of a better way to put it, I know Adam's doesn't "half-***" anything.  So the thickness, the GSM measurement, and overall quality of the towel is KILLER.  So that's a non-issue.  I've always LOOOVED Adam's towels!!

    Here's the annoying part.....
Currently, the Single Soft is "out of stock" waaaay more than it's "IN STOCK!?"  So I frequently have issues when wanting to order more.  Not to mention, as a representative for y'all, when I HIGHLY recommend towels to maintain a paint finish for a client we just did a BIG detail for, but they cannot order because they're out of stock for WEEKS at time.  Incredibly disappointing, as those people usually buy a competitor's towel, because they need new fresh towels NOW....not 2 weeks from now.

So my conclusion is that if the new towels can KEPT IN STOCK on a regular basis, and the supplier can actually keep the shelves full.....then I don't need any more convincing to KEEP them as part of the regular lineup!!

JHL88 reacted to TheBurninator in Comparison/Review - Adam's Rinseless VS Pinnacle Rinseless
I picked up some Adam's Rinseless Wash at the Toys for Tots detail clinic last weekend. It finally warmed up outside enough for me to give it a go today.

Both of these products are very solid. They both have a bit of wax in them, and can be diluted as a waterless wash/detail spray, more on this later.

I also picked up some of the border-less blue towels as well while I was at HQ. I REALLY like these towels for rinseless washing, and keeps them visually separate from my single soft towels. I will be picking up more of these for sure.

The test car is my 09' VW CC 4motion. The car currently only has a coat of QS on it. I took it to a spray wash to knock off all of the bigger stuff that was still on it from the snow/mag-chloride on the roads before washing.
Half of the car was done with Adam's Rinseless and the other half was done with Pinnacle. Different wash media for each half so there was no cross contamination for the review.

    Smell:
The Pinnacle Rinseless has a light mango smell to it and is nice to work with. Adam's has a berry/lemonish scent to it, and is a bit over powering for me, especially at a waterless wash ratio. I am giving Pinnacle the edge on this one. Big time.

    Lubricity:
Adam's is the winner on this one. In the bucket Adam's Rinseless was noticeably slicker (This isn't to say that the Pinnacle isn't slick. It is.).

    Streaking:
Both products performed very well and didn't have streaking issues, even in 45 degree weather. The remaining product after drying flashed off quickly and left nothing behind.

    Surface Slickness:
This is a close one. They both leave a very slick finish with no need to follow up with a dedicated detail spray to take care of streaking. I feel like the Pinnacle Rinseless was just a touch slicker on the finish.

    Concentration:
Pinnacle's dilution ratios are 1oz per 2 Gallons of water for a rinseless wash and 3oz per 32oz of water for a Detail Spray/Clay Lube.
Adam's is 2oz for a rinseless wash. I assume most people don't fill their buckets to the 5 gallon mark. I usually fill mine to 3-3.5. It is probably safe to assume the Adam's is a bit more concentrated. Waterless Wash dilution was 1oz per 16oz of water. Again probably indicating that it is more concentrated.

    Color:
Adam's is a blue, Pinnacle is a yellow color.

    Side notes:
Since Adam's Rinseless can be mixed up into a bottle for waterless wash I gave that a try on a small section of a friend's car the other night. It tends to stick to vertical surfaces really well and soaked into the mag chloride pretty quickly. I tried the Pinnacle as a waterless as well just to try it out (hey, it isn't my car, right?). It soaked into the mag chloride the same, but tends to run a bit more. I mentioned earlier about the smell of both products. Adam's at a waterless wash dilution was unbearable for me. My friend wasn't too keen on it either.

    Conclusion:
Both products are great. I feel like the Adam's wash a bit safer to wash with due to the higher lubricity, but the smell is something I can barely stand. It isn't so much the scent itself, but how strong it is. Makes my nose twinge a bit. Maybe you guys can tone it down on the next batch? Both products leave a streak free shine and a slick finish. You really can't go wrong with either of them.

I will keep using the Pinnacle for now. Mostly because I don't want the half gallon I have left to go to waste. I will probably alternate between the two every time I wash. Hopefully I get used to the smell of Adam's Rinseless.

Being former military, this type of publicity starts to get on my nerves.  There are people out there dying every day protecting people's rights and freedom's and not word one is spoken to celebrate their lives, nor is the word "tragedy" spoken to describe their demise.  Its a sad day when anyone passes, and for that I'm sorry to see this happened, but this ongoing press, and tragic description of the event is too much.
