  1. I use diluted shampoo and VRT "milk," both applied from spray bottles, on my hot tub cover. They work great!
  2. Looks a lot like mine. FWIW, I went with stackable plastic bins for my MF. They snap closed, but don't seal so they "breathe." Got them at Costco.
  3. Bully Dog GT Platinum Gas (Part #40417-299) - NEW and UNUSED - In ORIGINAL PACKAGING Asking $300 shipped within CONUS. No Trades. Serious Inquiries from Cash/PayPal Buyers Only, Please.
  4. I use them in conjunction with a little DS, after blowing most of the water off with air, so no wringing required.
  5. http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/32149-now-shipping-new-and-improved-16oz-spray-nozzles/
  6. Definitely Adam's, but not limited edition. I have trouble keeping up with all the MF color and border changes!
  7. Leather Conditioner left too much shine/sheen on the dash for me, so I stick with TID there. I use Leather Conditioner everywhere else, however, since I love the smell.
  8. As a Cyclo owner, I know BRZN and TheWolf are SPOT-ON. Some folks are overthinking this to an extreme.
  9. Exactly! Except, perhaps making this thread a Sticky... Excellent! At this point, we've got... - medic001918 in CT (As a RI native, I know that geographic region isn't very large.) - Norton is central CO Who else is in?!?
  10. I like this idea, Shane. In fact, I've already done this several times for friends and co-workers who know I'm an avid detailer. (At least a couple became Adam's customers, as a result of our interaction.) Seems like some folks are over-thinking this. "Official" clinics are the best way to learn from "vetted" experts, but they're not the ONLY way. I see NO need for Adam's to assume any liability here by "endorsing" or "vetting" "representatives," much less expend any resources on "compensation." I don't want to put words in Shane's mouth, but I THINK his initial suggestion was a simple list of experienced enthusiasts, willing to make themselves available to less experienced beginners, organized by geographic region. Since I'm already doing it, count me in.
  11. I agree with Scott. In my experience, you'd have been fine skipping your first 3 passes with Paint Correcting Polish, simply starting with Heavy Correcting Compound and "finishing" with Paint Correcting Polish. (I got great results doing exactly this when my wife's BMW sustained considerable "scuffing" on the hood, front fender, and side mirror from construction debris blowing around in a recent wind storm.) I read that too but, his paint was probably compromised by earlier damage. In my experience, it takes quite a bit of "effort" to burn through undamaged paint with an orbital polisher. This is especially true with Adam's products, none of which I've found to be overly aggressive.
  12. +1. Stick with appropriate applicator/chemical combos... Red, Yellow, or Grey for PS and Wax. Orange, Blue, or White for Compound and Polishes.
  13. Welcome to AF, Gevster! In my experience, neither product provides a truly matte finish. If that's your intent, though, VRT is definitely the better option.
  14. Wheel Cleaner should not be required with every wash. It's definitely overkill for properly sealed wheels. Neither should APC, which excels more in cleaning oil/grease, be required here. Except for a couple of times/year, I stick with diluted Shampoo on my wheels. (It works well, costs a fraction of the other options, and doesn't strip away LSPs.)
  15. I'm nursing the case I acquired a case as it was going out of production. T-10 and counting...
  16. +1 to all of this, to which I'd add outstanding customer service and frequent giveaways. In the end, Adam is running a business, not a charity.
  17. Excerpted from a great tutorial on wax vs sealant... "WAX begins its life as part of a particular type of palm tree. Carnauba wax comes in a variety of grades and purities. Its blended with oils, other wax types (like bees wax), and in some cases even some polymers to create car wax. Carnauba in and of itself is a hard crumbly substance - so don't believe the hype of any product claiming to be "100% Carnauba" it would be virtually impossible to apply to your car if it were. Without blending carnauba is not car wax."
  18. I'm confident they're coming, guys... I may have acquired a (prototype) set when visiting Adam's HQ several weeks ago.
  19. Did you even look at the (nearly two year old) video TheWolf linked? Adam CLEARLY explains his philosophy about various product's country of origin. The Swirl Killer's product page clearly states the units are "Made in China." Everybody's got an opinion and you're welcome to yours. In mine, Adam is being honest when he says "made in USA whenever possible." Dwhite0960 nailed it - one of the key performance parameters for this new polisher was PRICE. Unless you can point to a comparable polisher at a comparable price that's made in the USA, you should stop casting aspersions. Adam is NOT "lying to his customers." He's meeting the demand for a decent unit at a lower price point than other manufacturers offer, while clearly telling would-be buyers where it's made. Each is free to make an informed choice about whether to purchase or not. Stop grinding your axe and go back to polishing your car.
  20. It's good to see the "upcoming" products I glimpsed during a visit to Adam's HQ last month coming to market. Having seen them in action, I know they're GOOD STUFF and worthy of the Adam's brand!
