Will_Cog
Just curious for people who have both Americana and Buttery wax, is Buttery wax just sitting on the shelf now? I use detail spray/glaze quite often and every month or so a fresh coating of Americana. What are people using their Buttery Wax for?
0 Tim
While buttery is a fine wax, it just sits there on my shelf. I can say the same for my Americana though, it just sits there in the fridge gazing longingly at the cars with a fresh coat of Patriot. 0 PHOKUS
WIth the new forumlation of Americana and its easy on/off application, not to mention superior durability, Buttery simply does not measure up. My Buttery goes on the friends' wife's daily. Bunjy
0 jeverton
I just did a chemical decontamination, clayed the car and applied butter wax. Is the any harm in applying Americana over the butter wax or should I strip wash and start over with brilliant glaze followed up with Americana? 0 Mariner
I use my Patriot wax on my own vehicle, and Buttery on everybody else's zapdon
0 Rich
Buttery gets used on occasion, Patriot is in the fridge. But I prefer the new American Wax over all of them. Even the Patriot. mathews31
0 Focus_Red
Since Americana has a superior durability compared to the Buttery wax, it's what I use twice a year (once at the start of the car show season and once before winter). In between I use the Buttery wax to stay protected as it's easier to apply. In between Buttery wax applications (most likely once a month but still figuring this out) I'll be using a regimen of Wash and Wax and H2O G&G. 0 Mariner
How long is buttery supposed to last on average with a DD? 1-2 months. On a DD, maybe less. I try to apply it once a month. Sometimes I get excited and apply Patriot instead lol Edited October 31, 2016 by Mariner mathews31
0 03fan
I told my friend that buttery is a great summer wax. I won't use it again until winter is gone.
0 Rb1274
Doesn't it suck we have to wait months until we get to re apply? It hard to not keep adding....
0 GST Auto Detail
So what's the benefit of keeping Americana in the fridge? I have been using it for years, and my only complaint is it breaks up and becomes kind of crumbly. This would have been the old formula. I have a new batch waiting to arrive. Should I keep it in the fridge?
0 funkymonkey1111
i'm still new to the whole glaze/polish/wax/sealant systems. i have a black nissan 350 that is garage kept and driven only a couple of times a month. i know that a sealant goes on first to bond with the surface, then the wax on top of it. i had planned to use buttery wax, but am happy to give the Americana a try--the question is--does the addition of the sealant layer compromise the gloss effect of the Americana? 0 8675309'SS
I put Americana over sealant on my garaged car. I don't think the gloss was at all compromised. LT1xL82 and funkymonkey1111
